I have grown in Iowa, always wanting to do this so bad and this year (2023) I am finally getting to! I signed up for the last day, from Coralville to Davenport. So not the entire thing. I couldn't quite afford that this year. Hopefully another year I can do the whole thing!
I'm following people who posted about RAGBRAI. I'm an Iowan who loves to see our state portrayed so beautifully. Where are you from? Do you follow Ryan Van Duzer's vlogs? I'm hooked. Also, BBB. Thanks for coming to Iowa.
Thanks for following. We are from California and retired a year ago and now love to travel the country in our van. Don’t know Ryan but our friend that rode with Rich was telling us about him. 😀
Nice presentation. Looks like a great week of riding. I usually ride locally. What do people do for lodging on a 7 day trip if they don’t have a van set up?
Thanks. we have a tips video as well. ua-cam.com/video/x5SDWfxTrEc/v-deo.html For people without vans there is tent camping and their are teams that also bus their stuff from city to city and there are charters as well.
How was it to drive the van from town to town as opposed to riding? Things to do and see? Follow up question, did they have alternate road routes that allowed you to connect back up with riders in each town? Thank you for the great video
Thanks glad you enjoyed the video. The support vehicles had an alternate route which was nice. Each day the support route went to a meet up town about half way so the drivers could meet their riders and explore the town. As drivers we did explore a couple other small towns as well. Every year is different but this year the meet up towns and overnight towns were fun to explore.
New to RAGBRAI? Check out our tips for new riders: ua-cam.com/video/x5SDWfxTrEc/v-deo.html
I'm blown away by the creativity and talent behind this video! 👏🎨
Thanks.
Ah, your a lucky couple. I did RAGBRAI back in 2012. I will do it again in 2023 for the 50th.
Rich is hoping to get back there for the 50th as well. 😀
I made it in the beginning of the video when you were looking at the unicorn cyclist lol
Did you see me surfing at all?
I'm going to the 50th for sure
Rich is hoping to make it to the 50th as well. He’s now hooked.
I was also on this ride. You captured the spirit perfectly. The only way the video could have been better was if I seen myself in it.
Thanks! Sorry we didn't catch you in action. :)
Nice vid!
Thanks!
We must have been going about the same pace and left at similar times because I saw myself in your video twice. Fun!
Small world in such a large group of riders. 😀
Thanks for a great video! Looks like a fun ride!
Thanks!! Rich had a blast on the ride and can’t wait to do it again.

What I can’t understand is how do you have the energy to do this day after day.??
He is a little energized bunny.
