We were surprised by how pretty it was every single day! I made Courtney stop one day so we could film the wind blow through the corn field in the sun 😂
Oh this is so fun! Many moons ago. Probably before you were born, I did BRAG (Georgia) and it’s one of my fondest memories. Enjoy the experience and my advice is, “never feel ashamed to use the granny gear.”
Glad to see your latest video. I was really wondering how it was going and kept checking to see if you’d posted. Keep them coming Laura. Glad to see you and Courtney made it as far as you have in the video. I know it is probably really tough. Hang in there and I’m sure you’re home now. Let us see you!!
Thank you! I'm so happy to spend the week at home resting and editing the videos from the ride! I admit this seat is softer than the bike seat 😅 I can't wait to share the rest of the ride!
Congratulations on doing RAGBRAI! This year was also my first time, such a great experience. Hopefully I'll be able to meet you next year for RAGBRAI 50.
Thank you! It's hard to balance how much talking and riding to show,, but its the only way to really show everyone what it's like. It's exciting that you're planning for next year! It's a great event, well organized and you're able to go at your own pace so much more then I expected!
@@LauraOnTheMove it affirms that I would go to RAGBRAI mainly for the social possibilities of talking to so many people. You two seem like such positive types. Way to go. Bless you both .
Great video. I don’t think we met during Ragbrai but so cool to see other people who did a video of there experience. I like seeing all the different viewpoints. Nice job! Looking forward to the others.
great video girls enjoyed watching you both. I am a road biker turn EMTB rider but you have given me inspiration to get a touring bike with panniers. Great job riding and great video
@@LauraOnTheMove I have done the ride twice. I have skipped the last 2 years. It’s amazing to see your videos as that is not my experience. Most days I was on the bike by 5am(ish) finishing at 9-10ish. Not stopping. Towns not even set up. No lines. No crowds. Just empty roads. I love seeing videos showing the size of it all.
@@LauraOnTheMove my very first day I rode with a new friend from the charter. We started at 6:30. At the first town I waited 20 minutes of coffee. For the next 14 days. I never waited in a line again. I am conflicted because of this. I don’t think what I do could even be considered RAGBRAI. It’s basically just Paying $$$ to camp and ride on open roads.
Great video😊 We did our first RAGBRAI this year also, one of our group is in the video 🇳🇴 at the first stop on the first day for a few seconds around 9.11-9-13🧐
It should be out on Sunday! I am wrapping it up now. The next one will go through century day then 1 or 2 more to show the full week. We had a ton of fun at the end of the week, so I can't wait to share the rest!
How can I find someone to ride with 😮 I have watched you and several others and YES RYAN VAN DOOOOOZER I wanna do this ! No one is willing to do it with me. Is there a group I can join
Check out Pork Belly Ventures! They were who we used for our charter, but they have a huge group and they help with camp each night. They provide dinner and entertainment each night and it would be the easiest way to show up by yourself and make friends!!
Awesome video!
Thanks Ryan! It’s fun to see how many people are enjoying it. I’m excited for your next one from the ride too! Love the interviews!!
Your videos are great! I’m super stoked, I’m doing it next year for the first time. Hope to see you there!
Set a reminder to register early. Everyone was talking about he big and how much fun it’ll be next year for the 50th!!
Thanks for posting about Ragbrai. Looking to make the ride for next July and your videos are great !
Ooo you’ll have a blast!!
Congratulations on the big jump in subs!!! Luv the ride!
Thanks Terri! Its been really fun to watch the number climb this month. Happy you're enjoying the ride too!!
LOVE this! I’ve been watching your videos since you two crazies decided to do RAGBRAI- well done!!!
Yes! Luckily a few more days to share from the trip. Plus we had more fun as the week went on!
I am overwhelmed by the beauty of Iowa every time I do this ride!❤️

People have asked what state is next. I said Rhode Island, but Georgia would be fun too 😅

Every person who talked about the 50th said it's going to be a huge party!! Happy you had a great first RAGBRAI too!
I love your commentary
All I can think of is doing RAGBRAI next year. You two are fantastic. Cheering you from Canada!

We just watched yours this morning and I thought the same thing! We also kept looking for ourselves in the background 😅
Congrats on your first. It was a great week and not as hot as usual.
We were so lucky with weather!
So glad to meet you in Iowa, Laura! These videos are AWESOME!! XX
I'm so happy you stopped us to say hi! I should also mention we both have round tan lines from our newbies tattoos 😂
I am living RAGBRAI thru you, someday I hope to do it!
Great way to avoid the sun burn! Happy you get to come along!!

@@kidgiven that would be crazy to see too! The lines were a challenge in themselves. We never did figure out how to stop for anything fast 😅

Wow this reminded me of another UA-cam channel who did this a year ago.

do you live in Michigan??
No, Indiana, so about as close as you can get!
Are you wearing sunscreen?
Yeah! We put it in our bags and put more on almost every time we stopped. It was a big help!
No shame in walking.
We walked less as the week went on but embraced it on the last day again 😅
