Not saying R Kelly was right in what he did but he did statutory rape not physical rape. He sleeps with under age 16 or 17 year old girls with consent but the law states a girl has to be minimum 16 or 17. You pretty much have to get parents permission if you sleep with a girl under 16. Not saying R Kelly isn't disgusting he's a pervert and idiot but he's not physically raping taking the pussy by force. Two different things.. The parents of the under age girls also are to blame..
Being that this post is about song writing ✍️ LISTEN TO WHAT YA BOY WROTE AT 2:21 seconds on his song "I like the crotch on you" here’s a link @ ua-cam.com/video/917D4-z5lL4/v-deo.html
@philip ocharo Yes you can teach yourself a lot of the trade, but you'll learn more studying Pros. Thankfully many of them are teaching on UA-cam so you don't have to go in debt paying for this knowledge in school. Most producers today only know the piano and just have a really good ear for melodies. Thanks to technology the keyboard can be use to play all instruments using Midi notes that trigger different VST Plugins.
Interesting. I'm 44 and I remember him from the ABC/Iesha video back in 1991("Yo Dallas!"). But I'm guessing you didn't grow up listening to hip-hop or R&B, so I can understand your situation.
@@epiceric4507 I only knew about him cuz I used to read album credits. I was 13 when Monica came out so i was mesmerized! We need them Scott La Rock stories!
0:42 I liked the Max Martin name drop. Aside from hip hop /rnb producers. Max Martin is in my top five favorite producers of all time. The man created every hot Pop song in the latr 90s and 2000s. from Brittney to Backstreet Boys, Robyn, Katy, Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Mariah. He gave a sound and flavor some huge songs.
The reason this is the best vlad interview to me is because he's talking about the artist and nothing outside of that. Nobody cares about the bull outside of the artist. He let's Dallas tell his stories and actually listens without interrupting and doing all those flashbacks. This was a dope interview.
I spent over 4 months working out of the B room at DARP in 2009. I can personally say Dallas is a straight up cool person and exceptionally talented. We talked one on one a few times, he picked my brain about my old friend Tech N9ne and how he came up. I would love to see him again some day. I've still never seen so many Diamond plaques on one wall, he did a ton of work. His DARP studio is still to this day the most unique studio I ever worked in. I'll never forget Bobby and Jose bring back 50 or so girls and the main DARP lounge turning into an after hours club, lol. I would walk out of B and would have to fight my to the bathroom through the gaggle of girls. Crazy times that I miss every now and then.
Mike Woods facts. Since the mass following believe it don’t excised👏🏾, thanks bro...Hope people gathered very much intel, not from being a legendary producer, but the way the industry did business sooo shady and negative. The 1% just buy niggas to control niggas (circulate their dollar)🤦🏾♂️
This is not a dis towards Dallas Austin or anyone else in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, but can someone please tell me why Prince is not in there????? He is in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, but as many hits as that genius has written, he should be in hands down !!!!!
@TJ Moore I agree about Prince too. I think he wasn't allowed in because he demanded respect from the record executives and called them out when they pulled racist moves, cheat people out of money, and kept master recordings the artists made. I've seen him do a few interviews talking about these things
Vlad we need some underrated ass actors on here like Lawrence Tate (the guy who played ODog) Bokeem Woodbine (one of the most underrated balck actors out there and also knew pac)Allen Payne (guy who played Gee Money and Jason in Jason's Lyric aming many other great roles) and Glenn Plummer (the guy who played OG Bobby Johnson among many other great roles)
I would have LOVED having a studio at school!! I could see it now, they'd NEVER have to worry about me skipping lol, they'd have my undivided attention aha. I swear that's a BRILLIANT IDEA, schools SHOULD have something like that because it would give individuals like me something to look forward to (besides college and future careers). And like Dallas said, teens wouldn't have to go sell drugs to get these expensive equipment, be on the streets, keep them busy and most important, keep them in school (at least more). A studio in school would save individuals like me a lot of money and time, hope future kids/artists get this opportunity.
Big shout out to DA for putting the studios in public schools which are free. Unlike Dre and Clive Davis whose schools are in overpriced universities that don’t teach s*** and starts the cycle of debt
I don't think he's done yet b/c I was waiting for him to talk about that and ATL. I also wanted him to ask about updates on the Rowdy brand and what and who he's currently working with, etc
By the way he casually mentioned feeling like he joined the "illuminati" or a secret society he obviously knows that shits real as fuck and those things do exist!
00:38 Wrong Dallas.... Babyface & Teddy Riley have the same Wiki listing. Also the RZA of Wutang Clan has so many production his is listed by year, not Alphabetical

Why do producers have so many keyboards? Understand something about different sounds but a lot of keyboards put out a ton of them why do they need so many?
Sometimes it's for the feel of the keys or for authentic classic sounds you can't find anymore. Think about it like you can buy retro Jordans but it's not the same as having the originals.
This was one of the year's best interviews much props to Dallas and Vlad
