Wow at such a young age Dallas was not just a hitmaker he was a visionary..talented all around...he gave a lot of groups their sound and look!! He doesn't get enough ceedit
Man it really was, enjoyed that. Hope he interviews him again all those Prince, J C Chasez, Fishbone and George Clinton stories he must have. Boyz II Men well hell.
This interview is brilliant, I've been loving the clips. Dallas is an incredible storyteller, so cool in his delivery. I used to read the writing and production credits on the back my of tapes and CDs like they were magazines, if you weren't born in the 70s or early 80s you cannot appreciate how ubiquitous Dallas was, his name was on everything I bought in the 90s to the point I would sometimes buy singles that I hadn't heard because it was written and produced by D.Austin and on LaFace records. Dallas, Babyface, Jermaine Dupri, D.DeGrate, Andre Harrell, ... those were the days.
Facts I did the same thing... All of us 70s/80s kids we didn't have Google lol.. We read tape and CD covers.. Cover to cover... We had magazines that we copped because we had to get all the info we could about our favorite artists and producers.... Dallas is different and definitely doesn't get the love he deserves..
Dallas is a good dude. He probably doesn’t remember but in 1998 I met him in Cancun Mexico at the annual Jazz festival they used to have and all the parties were very expensive to get into. He didn’t even know us & he got us in parties for free with his pull. He didn’t have to do that because he didn’t even know us. Those parties were $100-$150 bucks a piece to get into. Thanks Dallas!
Dallas has been like an idol to me since i was a kid in the 90s but even if this was the first time I've seen em i can tell he's a real chill dude but hearing it from someone who actually met him really solidifies that sentiment..Thanx for the story bruh
MJ Jackson brought me here anywhere I see his name I click to hear good things about him thanks for the video Dallas Austin deserves an Award for this interview MJ Jackson was too powerful that's why he has so much hate. Well thanks God he has more good people on his side. Forever innocent and forever powerful.
Hes a producer so he doesnt get much sun because the Sun is really the thing that ages you the most plus black dont crack because black people have an SPF of 17 on their skin.
So were gonna ignore the fact his stepdad is one of the greatest guitarist to ever live and developed an extremely difficult guitar style (Chanking) Chicken Scratch. Insane. Dallas was born to be grrat
Me as a 57 year old African American male from Atlanta, listening to this interview is refreshing. What a talented brilliant mind Dallas Austin has, I'm really proud of you young man. As a US Army retire, most of the music you wrote and produced in the late 80's and 90's went with me around the world the military sent me and even to combat with live rounds incoming, your music got me through that. I can't imagine life not having any of the music you produced. Thank you for pursuing and mastering your craft and career and keep it going.
But he still had respect for her and helped her handle her business. Kneeknee was so pissed because she thought Kim was lying about who her friends were and got the shock of her life when Kim really did know Dallas and he wss cool with her. Kneekmee was shooked the ef out and still reeling from it. Haha
This was a great interview. I’ve always been fascinated by people such as this. Who know who they are early in life. People who are highly intelligent like this have to be supported and protected from ignorant, small minded people. This is why it’s important for education in this country to be backed financially, especially public school young children. With the proper resources, intelligence like this can be cultivated and help our country and society to grow.
Don't worry. America is great at encouraging talent and rewarding talent. That's why America has the biggest economy in the world. In many countries, talent is severely stifled.
It’s crazy cuz I lived in Stone Mountain 3 doors down from A.B.C. In a complex called Timber Trace. It’s a honor to listen to this man tell his story, he is music history that’s still alive.
I met Fallas at the Jack The rapper music convention in '91. He was 19 and had just finished the first Boyz 2 Men album he always liked to talk shop and was very humble. nice guy. He looks the same
This has been my all-time best interview of yours. That dude is the book of life. You can tell he's done exactly what he was supposed to do with his life. He does not look like he's 50 years old. When your work feels like play...
Kandi had a BAD experience with Boyz to Men and so did Baby Face. I'm amazed at how arrogant they are and to this day Wanya cannot humbly apologize to these LEGENDS. Instead he wants through shade like a lil boy. Boys will be boys..,not sure about the Men part of their name..,prolly why Mike had to leave
Great interview, rich stories from a living legend! I couldnt stop watching once I started- Dallas has great life stories to share for future generations to come. Really enjoyed listening to him talk!
Poor Dallas. You can tell he was trying to be the peace maker but his artists kept putting him in situations. 😂😂😂 I can hear him now, “Oh lord, not again!”
All this time, I knew of this Gentleman but I never knew HIM... Wow!!! This was a Great Interview!!! Another Bad Creation, etcetera..... Matter of Fact, he is the guy that Dianna Ross’ son portrayed on the TLC Movie. This is amazing... Great Job VLad👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed this interview. I think Dallas had a great point of view and story to tell. I wonder if he ever gave back to the community he was from in Columbus. It would be cool if he invested in the school system there. Columbus has a lot of youth that needs motivation and inspiration just like he did.
I’ve always like hearing from the song writers the producers, they’re the ones with the good stories
The best stories!! They aren’t afraid to tell the truth.
They have all the secrets!😂😂😂

Hands Down
Best Interview Of The Year.
Dallas seems like a good dude.
Alain Vincent Mob james and this
Positive info and seem to be a great person. Been a fan since he stepped on the scene. What a musical genius.
Man it really was, enjoyed that. Hope he interviews him again all those Prince, J C Chasez, Fishbone and George Clinton stories he must have. Boyz II Men well hell.
His mj story is a major standout
Humble, talented and way ahead of his time.
Facts
Especially to have accomplished so much and that amount of success
Yes he is!😙

He didnt shy away from anything, told it like it is. Best interview
Vlad had him open from the start! Dude wasn’t even expecting the big ups, you can tell he genuinely thankful of the compliments.

Love MJ- although Dallas doesn’t call him innocent , thank god.
It's about damn time. Been waiting on this in full
😆 😆 😆
He looks like he’s in his 30’s. He’s damn near 50 here. I’m amazed.
Between him and chili their kid is going to look 13 forever 😂
Its the millions of dollars in earning preserving him.

This Guy Is Legendary!
This is about the closest we'll ever get to getting an interview with someone of a Babyface Caliber Legend.
#IfYouKnowYouKnow!
This guy is so talented he is responsible for so many songs we grew up loving
He spilled all that tea ☕️ Loved it!
Love Dallas he wasn't afraid to tell the truth he was straight forward 💯 great interview
Whoever attacked Kandi when she spoke on her experience with Boy 2 Men, need to see this interview.
Exactly
“If you didn’t have gold teeth she didn’t like you “😂😂 that explains her relationship with CMurder
Best Vlad interview of the year
So were gonna ignore the fact his stepdad is one of the greatest guitarist to ever live and developed an extremely difficult guitar style (Chanking) Chicken Scratch. Insane. Dallas was born to be grrat
The fact he called Monica ghetto.. I knew it! 😂😂😂
Lol!
She is
Loved hearing his continued respect for Take 6!

this is such an UNDERRRATED interview. So many pieces of untold info!
Dallas is the most interesting man in the music industry. Good work, Vlad.
So now you want to make an hour video after I almost got in trouble at work trying to press 18 video links just to listen to this interview lol. 😂
Hahahaha
Same here...lol that's funny
After Keefe D I couldn't go through another 20 parts lol I knew this would be good so I had to wait for the full interview lol
😆
Dallas working with Pink makes so much sense now... I loved that album 😍😍😍
Anyone remember his face when Kim Zolziaks started singing in the studio years ago?
I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. Kim can NOT sing!
But he still had respect for her and helped her handle her business. Kneeknee was so pissed because she thought Kim was lying about who her friends were and got the shock of her life when Kim really did know Dallas and he wss cool with her. Kneekmee was shooked the ef out and still reeling from it. Haha
"Dude broke my key board", "I gotta kill this guy"😆😆 💯
I laughed so hard at that 😂😂
Salute Dallas Austin because of his variety of music talented production
I never knew of all his work
👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
This one of the best interviews I’ve listen to. Austin is so upfront and honest. He reveals a lot of closed door infor that I was thrilled to hear
So arrogance is what brought down Boyz II Men.
Arrogance turned Men back II Boys
Pretty much....yes
I haven't even watched the whole video but the comments got me hyped! This is clearly gonna be good! 👀

Dallas is cool af ! No “celeb” vibez 👍🏽
He's always been cool and humble, he's definitely a dude you can chill and talk about whatever. 😊
The epitomy of "just be yourself and you'll be amazing", his reputation speaks for itself.
Kandi Burress said Boys 2 Men were disrespectful and Dallas has cosigned that.
I believe every word he says here. He seems like he knows who he is, humble, and takes pride in his work.
Smh
How old was he? Not that it makes a difference, expound.....
You gotta love that about him.
Loved this interview ❤️ so much info was shared that I never knew.... He's a legend definitely 💯
Super cool interview. Dallas Austin is so articulate and eloquent. No wonder he’s such a good song writer and in the hall.
There’s a lot of black people who are articulate.
@@MrFlyVisuals case in point, Dallas Austin being one of the many

Homie legend level on 500,000 straight up! Im jus now gettin hip to his impact in the industry its crazy how involved he was from the start
im 44 this year... technically Dallas Austin is our generations Quincy Jones... Thank you for the Music Sir.

Genius! Thank God you followed your dream ....and you understood what you needed to do for your family.
This is great. I've heard about Dallas Austin for years. It's great to get to know him and hear some of his stories and background.
Great interview, been a fan of Dallas' mixes since ABC but totally sold me after Ooooooohhh... on the TLC Tip, that album is still the JAM
😍😍
That album is amazing. The production and style is dope on every song.
He produced Troop
Still is bro!
Lol the Michael reaction to Biggie
MJ bout it, bout it n rowdy-rowdy.
His MJ story sounds like Babyface's story about MJ
I mean he did have a business relationship with him. So they would have some of the same stories
That's when you know it's the truth when different ppl stories correlate 💯
Never knew I was dancing to this dude in the early 90’s till now. You def killed the game...
U got the ONLY CHILD that Chili has!!!!! Salute to bro!!!
Best interview i've seen in years. Thanks Vlad
All I wanna know is why is he named after two cities in Texas. If we can get to this in this interview, I’m for it! 😆
actually there is a city named Dallas in Georgia & most other states have a Austin as well...but being from Texas I always wondered that too 😂
Lol
i learned more about TLC from this interview than I learned in 30 years of their entire career
Interview of the year!
Here after watching Dallas Austin on that 85South Show ...
Great interview! Hopefully another one someday with more great stories from Dallas 👍
Thanks for the full interview Vlad!
Vlad: I remember I interviewed Jermaine Dupri
Me: Flashback alert!
Mj’s whole history album was bomb. I use to play that album in 6 grade. Man.
He should write a book. He came from a life of hardship but kept focus on doing good. how did he do it?
You're so right. He's a true inspiration.

About Damn Time!
When i see Michael Jackson i click! And to the interviewer. You like to ask off the wall questions about Mike, I think YOU should be question sir
Great interview. Sucks it only has 100k views. That Biggie & Michael Jackson story is amazing, I always wondered how those two got together.
He was one of the produced from Madonna's Bedtime Stories album in 1994😍
Poor Dallas. You can tell he was trying to be the peace maker but his artists kept putting him in situations. 😂😂😂 I can hear him now, “Oh lord, not again!”
reminds me of my immediate family...always got some ish goin that I gotta end up solving / fixing
