Personal Responsibility Is Not An Optional Message reflection preaching by Fr Ashit Toppo 27 Sept

Gospel Matthew 21:28-32
Personal Responsibility is not an optional but obligation. Each individual is responsible for his/her act and the outcomes of it.
Today word of God invites us reflect on our own responsibility to be With HIM or Against HIM. We all of commit sins but good news is that God doesn't remember our past deeds but always welcomes us with wide opened arms to embrace us. are you ready to take U turn by repentance and accept the ways of God's life.
We need to do two things in order to enter the Kingdom of God-
1. Repent and turn away from the wickedness and do what is lawful and right
2. Believe in the Words of Jesus and Act accordingly.
The first reading clears the two major confusions of Israelites - that God does not punish them because of their ancestors wrongdoing and God is just and his mercy overturns the justice
The Second reading is the supreme model of Christian ways of life in the model of Jesus self emptying and obedient to the will of the Father even on the Cross.
The Gospel passage - the parable of two sons reminds us that good actions speak louder than fine words.
it is wake up call to all of us.
Promise can never take place of performance.
fine words are never substitute for fine deeds.
Message is Christian ways of life is taking personal responsibility to live a life of Obedience and repentance by believing and acting the ways Jesus did.
