Success or Failure Depends on your Choices in life. What do you choose to be? A message on based on Sunday's reading by fr. ashit toppo, ranchi
We are planted on this earth for a noble and productive purpose to bear good fruits in life.
Readings of the Day 04 October,2020
First Reading Isaiah 5:1-7
Psalm 79:9, 12-16, 19-20
Second Reading Phillippians 4:6-9
Gospel Matthew 21:23-43
First reading (Song of Vineyard) explains Israel as the Vineyard God has tended. it is expected to bear fruits of holiness.
Psalmist pleas for God's mercy
Second reading - st. Paul reminds Phillippians to do whatever is true, honourable, just and right to bear good fruits.
Gospel: explains the theological meanings of the vineyard by Jesus. God is master of the vineyard and expects a proper return from the tenants.
People in every age have the option of accepting or rejecting Jesus. if we accept Jesus and his Church as the cornerstone of our life, He becomes a sure foundation . if we reject Him we are the losers.
What is success and failure?
Success- is a series of Positive Choices in Life
Failure - is a series of Negative Choices in Life
It is that Simple. People ask you or you might have questions such as -
People who are successful in life don't they make mistake in life?
And my Answer is-
1. Well, People who are successful in life, they do mistake but making mistake once in a while, doesn't make a person failure, but repeating the same mistake again and again is what makes a person failure.
And
2. Doing something positive once in a while does not bring success, it is repeating the same positive behaviors again and again is what brings success.
Therefore, only thing i can make this time of crisis (COVID-19 Pandemic period) is we have to make some choices because life is full of choices and compromises. We have to make choices of how do we utilize this down time. and if we do not come out up skills, more knowledgeable, healthier and fitter, then it is not because we lack time, but it is precisely because we lack self-discipline and commitment. this is the time we have to use productively for the heads starts for moment the crisis is over, you can jump start in life.
So you have understood what is success and failure. You have Time, Talents, Capabilities, what you need to do is to utilize them in productive way because it is what we are called for.
