We did play it more on the sensitive side since we were trying to get the most out of the romance. But in the end we missed out on the final kiss, but that only felt right because I don't think Selina would like a needy and clingy Bruce anyway. You can point out that she's a better person than she believes by reminding her how much she's done for you, and she still brushes it aside, but only very half-heartedly. You can accept that she's just not selfless enough to be able to stand by your side while everyone in the city works to destroy you, and she'll appreciate that you don't try to pressure her onto your pedestal. Honestly, the "because I love you" line is EXACTLY as bad as she makes it out to be here. Bruce DOES barely know her, and it's an absolutely terrible answer to the question anyway. Treating her like a pure criminal, a hero, or someone who "owes" you her love just pisses her off, because she doesn't fit into any of those boxes, and Bruce should be well aware of that by now. She's a playful thrill-seeker. She's compassionate but not self-sacrificing. She keeps people at arm's length because she isn't comfortable with getting close to them - probably because they keep trying to shove her into one of the above boxes, in addition to other unspecified baggage from her past.
