Heh, funny thing, he only turned up as the Cyberleader until Earthshock, but i've always wanted a DVD special edition of Revenge where it dubbed David's voice over the Leader in that story.
He has returned to the role voicing Cyber-Leaders in the Big Finish Audios "Hour of the Cybermen" and "Conversion". The moment when you hear that familiar voice say "Excellent!" - need I say more? Also Big Finish also gave us a bonus of Mark Hardy returning in both of those audios reprising his role of Cyber-Lieutenant.
My favourite line of his is just “Excellent” I know he returned for various audios as mentioned but here I was merely lookjbg at his TV appearances but I appreciate the other info: Josh
The cybermen are more creepy, because they are expressionless humanoids, and they want to make you like them. Classic Cybermen also kind of shambled along like they were in a trance.
Could you possibly tell me where you found Destination: Telos's audio files from please? I'm having trouble finding them, thank you if you can tell me.
Listening to this makes me feel like I've stumbled into a cybertomb and have accidentally reactivated an army of the metal buggers.
>cybertomb
Hmm, wonder where 40k got the inspiration for the necrons
"Destroy them! Destroy them at once!"
The amount of dread in these themes are unmatched. Murray Gold theme is great, but these ones are much more moody.
The theme for the cybermen in the five doctors is stellar

Most definitely! 🤖😎😉👍👏
EXCELLENT!!!!
I love how 80s this is!
"When was the last time you've smelt a flower, or enjoyed a well prepared meal?"
"These things are... irrelevant."
David Banks was marvellous playing the role of the Cyberman between 1975s Revenge of the Cyberman and 1988s Silver Nemesis

Excellent!
This music is…Excellent!
David Banks made an excellent performance as The Cyberleader. Quite an excellent role.
'NOW THATS WHAT I CALL CYBER MUSIC' only £4.99 in selected stores...
Musically speaking, when I think ‘Cybermen’ I think of their theme in Five Doctors.
I know that object....destroy them...destroy them at once.
"My army awakes...Doc-ta!"
Sounds absolutely terrifying! Perfect to catch the silver nightmare that is the Cybermen! Absolutely brilliant sounds fantastic! 🤖
Excellent!
Say what you will about classic who but it had some cool distinctive music. Something modern who really lacks with the ole generic movie-like music.
I'm not doing a music suite for the Segun Akinola Cyberman theme, It just sounds like a tramp hitting a bunch of tin cans around the place XD
Very unimaginative from the new series. Very generic.
I mean, I guess the vibe is “metal clanging?” So in guess it kinda works? But it has less actual melodic content than most trap music.
_NO!_ Segun Agi-goo-pagi is a musical genius - _stunning and brave!!!_
@@fletcherhamilton3177 Sounds boring and dull for me especially after the many years of Murray Gold's complex melodies
Tardis Glitch - I find his _Who_ titles theme to be quite uninspired, myself. 'Yeah, just put reverb into it. More... More... More...' 🙄

Earthshock is under rated IMO.
Excellent
Cybermen often chose rubbish scripts, but their taste in music was impeccable.
You think you'll be able to do a suite for the 70's Daleks, or at least Genesis?
Good idea! I'll give it some thought!
@@tardisglitch547 I have an idea, could you please one day upload the both Sontaran and Rutan theme from "Shakedown: Return of The Sontarans"?

I always found the Cybermen far more scary than the Daleks...maybe the incidental music had something to do with it!

It's a mix of the music cues from earthshock and attack. You can find the isolated score on the dvd.
