Casinos prey on degenerate gamblers who expect “luck” over skill to be enough to net them huge wins and they end up losing more than they can afford, that’s Casinos bread and butter, smart refined AP’s win more times than they lose.

Fuqkazaat Ziib basic strategy in blackjack narrows the house edge down to a fraction of one percent. And pressing wins is a way to turn a session profitable even when you lose more than half the rounds. Pressing losses is also called the martingale strategy, which has its downfall with table max limits and the possibility of running out of money. Pressing wins is a bit safer because you are increasing your bets with previous winnings. Doing it with 50% of your winnings also ensures that when you finally lose, you have still accumulated a profit. The only downfall of this type of betting is if there are no streaks while your only wins are followed by a loss right after. However, you can press your wins if you consider this example: if you throw a bucket of water balloons off a roof, not all will hit the ground evenly distributed. Some will clump two or more at the same spot. A betting method of pressing wins of 1,3,2,4 (or 1,2,1.5,3) is preferable when you consider that winning three hands in a row is exponentially more unlikely than 2. However just like in bac or in bj, there is no mathematical proof that -/+ progressive betting has any advantage. You are only fishing for a type of trend there is no way to predict. However, trends do exist and a gambler can ride one if they want, but there is no seatbelt.
Fuqkazaat Ziib dude I’m not trying to argue with you. I’m a card counter, and I gave up fishing for streaks long ago because there is no mathematical advantage and for me I’ve been lucky to break even after a couple years. Card counting in blackjack is a thing and it gives the player a 1-2% advantage based on billions of computer simulated hands. I’ll admit it’s allot more boring than fishing for streaks, which can be really fun. I will try out what your talking about if I play baccarat because there is no way to count cards effectively in that game. But We’re talking about blackjack. Another reason I’d rather count cards is because the more you play the more you can expect to win. The best way to take advantage of a streak is to quit while you’re ahead, I think you can agree to that right? If you hate casinos like I do you should take up counting. There are streaks of winning sessions followed by streaks of losing sessions, but you can expect to win 55% of all sessions, and there are glorious sessions that trump every other. But if you are in it for that one glorious session, chase that dragon by all means.

I counted cards and you were at a disadvantage the entire time. The count was never above 0. (there were always more smaller cards in the deck which favors the dealer)
Actually the last 10-15 min you actually had a small advantage.

It is fun to watch this. Some friendly advice: With 6 decks of cards, 16 vs A is a hit, and 16 vs 10 as well. The odds in the long run of hitting vs surrendering at 16 vs 10 are only ever so slightly in favor of a hit, but statistically it is still a hit. These black jacks graphs and tables can be found on the Internet. Statistically you are also supposed to hit with 12 or 13 vs a 2.
Basic BJ strategy, lmfao.
Sea Hawks He did emphasize that it was a 6 deck shoe. Some high limit areas would only do two decks for a shoes so hitting a 16 would bring about a 10 most likely.

A few things, that I know others have already covered:
15 vs. 10, and 16 vs. 9, 10, or Ace are surrenders. It was odd seeing you surrender a pair of 8s (which are usually split - yes, it worked out for the better in the case you did it) but not surrender some of the hands that usuall call for it.
The pressing strategy is interesting - though one thing puzzled me, when you had a normal win, you added to your bet, but pretty much never after a win on a double down or after a blackjack. Is there a reason for that, or did you just forget?
One thing to consider might be playing two hands, at the same bet. While there are many times you'll either win or lose both hands, it is very often you'll win one and lose one for a net push, which weathers the storm a bit better when the dealer just doesn't seem to want to bust for you. I know this conflicts with your pressing system, however.
Funny enough, if the table would have included the Lucky Ladies side bet - the premium paid on two Queen of Hearts - you would have had it on your first hand. It's one of the better side bets as it pays on any initial 20, so if you win the side bet you're usually winning the hand.

@@mikexpoker3275 Look up "Wizard of Odds", there's a part there where you can plug in any common ruleset and it will give you not only the house edge but strategy for that specific ruleset.

You're a dealer, you shouldn't have a shell.
@@seahawks1185 By shell I mean I watch what I say in order to gauge what the person is like. If they are negative or having a bad time I either say nothing or very little. Most players in my experience who are negative aren't very nice to the dealers anyway.
Also some player prefer no talking, some prefer very little and still some are ok with more reserved conversations. Casinos want you to act yourself, because if they don't like you as a dealer they're sure someone else will (unless you're just an ass to the players). Each person wants a different type of dealer. It's impossible to satisfy every player at the same time.

Why you only bet one hand? When you kept getting small cards and kept busting, you should play more hands (smaller bets) just to switch things up to your advantage. Especially on a 4 to 6 decks of cards table.
Also, the strategy on pressing a chip is when you are on a winning streak, not when the dealer is hot. On the flip side, I would take out a chip when I win just to save up more money in my war chest. And then ready to deploy my war chest when I am on a winning streak.
It’s not rigged guys , dealer plays by the rules ! Which is why he has to hit until he gets 17+ , tho when a player is playing “superstition” kicks in and the player would rather stay at a #13 then keep hitting for a 17. You will win more hands statistically by playing by the same rules the dealer plays with. Give a try next time and you will see the difference between the hands you win and the hands the dealer wins.

You should re-title this episode...How Much Are They Going To Take?
Just for future reference. At about 19 minute into the video and have notice a flaw in the dealers game.... any time you see a dealer double check the hole card through the mirror or wipes the mirror.... they are likely to have a face card. This dealer wipes the mirror probably because it’s fogging up or he has bad eye sight and can’t differentiate the value of the face card. Anytime a dealer does that you need to go for a 20 count. He’s done it about 3 times within the first 19 minutes. He did it on the second hand but it was a nine in the hole. The other two times were face cards

so I'm friends with Colin Jones, creator of the blackjack apprenticeship program. I showed him this video and he's like "this is exactly how not to play blackjack" lol. at least learn basic strategy 100% before even thinking about betting this much at a casino or you will for sure lose money. If anyone is reading this listen, DO NOT play like this, you WILL lose your money. you CAN make money on blackjack but not with as many flaws in your game as this man here is playing. Don't confuse luck for skill. This video is a perfect example of "chasing your loss".. never do this. especially with flawed basic strategy

I was keeping the running count and there was a slim to none chance you were going to make a profit in the 1st two shoes. Great move calling for the shuffle in the first shoe. The third shoe was in your favor for just about the entire shoe. Always split 8s. Probably would have won both with a double down on the last hand. Awesome video though. You are always fun to watch and keep everybody laughing.

admittedly Im not a seasoned 21 player however I do have a question regarding the dealer at 24:05. In all other instances he checked his hold card when an ace or 10 were showing. Your assumption is correct. He declines insurance and it’s understood between them that he stays on 17 so his action over and dealer just flips.
The lesson is if you ever see Wallace Shawn dealing just go to another table.
new to blackjack, could someone explain 2:35 why didn't the dealer wait for the player to signal stand, hit, or split before he turned his card over?
If its 21 then they dont wait

The player and dealer establish a rapport. It’s understood by both parties that he does not split 10’s / pictures. If on a whim he did want to split he’d know it’s up to him to make the dealer aware that he wants to split before the dealer turns his own cards over. It’s likely he never splits them so it helps speed the game up by doing it this way.
A somewhat similar situation happens at 24:00 where he has 17 and the dealer has Ace showing. The dealer asks if he wants insurance and he declines. The dealer knows he is not hitting on 17 and doesn’t check for BlackJack because of that.. he just flips his cards because he knows the players action is over.
If the game was called 15 you would own the casino.

Whenever someone stands on 12 against the dealer's 2 or 3, I die a little inside.
Against a dealer 12 maybe, 13 not so much...
Bader Basic strategy says hit 12 against 2 or 3.

About 10 years ago Caesars Palace had one table in the high limit room with a posted maximum bet of $50,000. This was so they could have bragging-rights for the highest posted limit on the Strip. ❤️♣️♦️♠️

This guy is really bad at blackjack. 16 vs a 7 and he stand. He should of surrender. Double 8 vs a 10 he should split his 8s.
