- Fa'anānā Efeso Collins has become a familiar face on Tagata Pasifika over the two terms he's served on Auckland Council as Manukau ward councillor. Now he's in the running to become Mayor of Auckland, with backing from Labour.
We sat down with Efeso to talk about some of the challenges he and his family have faced, and how his experiences as a Sāmoan boy from South Auckland are driving his campaign to become Mayor.
Rest in love Efeso! Thank you for the work you did for all of us ❤

He is not an independent as he's backed by Labour.
dodged a bullet with this diversity hire
Like most labour backed people he’s not genuine
No, simply no. “Independent” is a loose term used here if he’s backed in by the Labour Party.
Hahahahaha I’m independent hahahahaha, but I’m not too stupid to get the most disliked New Zealander to endorse me,how did that go for you Efeso?
Ha ha ahahha as long as that Pathetic moustache you 've got glued to that mask of yours !!
