You use FL11 cause you think it sounds better. I use FL11 cause my pc is a balanced ecosystem of viruses and poorly cracked plug ins that may implode after the slightest change. We are not the same.
Im at the point with the whole DAW thing, that I'm just trying to stick with one DAW, making it the best it can be. None of them are perfect, just gotta choose what you need, and what you're willing to give up.

There is no difference in audio (if the drivers are set up correctly), because the audio driver shouldn't change the audio. And during export the audio is processed by the DAW so there wouldn't be a noticable difference in the end product. The only difference in sound may be due to bad DACs, but you wouldn't notice it with a proper audio interface :)

They keep talking about the limiter on default South side and others FL users turn off the limiter ounce FL open , most replace it with the soft clipper . All FL users have been updating for years with no default limiter loaded and have noticed a difference , it’s getting more clean . Only people that have used it for years can tell , I started using FL in 0’3 when I was in 5th grade .. it was call fruityloops 3 👴 . I tell you this , FL 12 , 20 , 24 doesn’t hit like 10 or 11 . FL knows People have been turning that limiter off and throwing on soft clipper for years 😂. Common sense will tell you , if they been adding things , updating , making short cuts , what makes you think they haven’t been tweaking the sound engine? Hiphop was built on imperfections , distortion , low end . FL thought that making the sound engine more clean and better as time went on , would improve the Daw . Them telling the truth would mess up sells , so they blame it on their own limiter ……. 🧢

I use FL11 because they reorganized all the menus for 12 and my feable brain couldn't figure out how to find anything.
Get a Mac. Then you can experience a virus free experience AND self inflicted poverty. Everyone wins.
