It's not like Maya asked Cammy to join, nor did she want to defeat her, she had no choice. She was undercover in SIN working for the CIA. That's why she had top level gadgets that defeated Cammy. I believe in this part of the story Maya was found out to be CIA and her daughter was Kidnapped and she's forced to work for SIN. She knew Ryu could possibly kill her but she's fighting to keep her daughter alive.

Decapre sakura learned Ryu's style by watching him. crazy as it sounds, there's a good chance she learned how to power up, too... just enough to slow him down. also gonna guess that he releases energy similar to the hadoken but invisible when he is about to connect his punch.

The background stories of characters of this game make it thrilling and inspire the desire to make them likable
5:03 is such a great little moment and speaks so much about the personality and relationship between the 3 characters without speaking a single word.
Especially that shot of Ken standing there. Totally ready to throw himself into a possible fight to the death with his best friend were he too far gone.
I think Ryu's greatest moment and Greatest speech of all time comes from his fight with Seth. His speech still gives me tingles to this day.

That's not the Raging Demon. Raging Demon is just one attack you can use while under the influence of the Satsui no Hado, which is the actual name of the transformation.

She did it to trigger Ryu to unleash his "full power". I think that an expert like Crimson Viper exactly knows how far she can put her enemies without killing them, and only threatened Ryu to kill her - she propably never would've done it. Being a mother herself, I think Crimson is far more emotional and "adult" than she pretends to be - this is all just a fassade she plays to not blow her cover for S.I.N.
So rest assured, she propably would NEVER have killed Cammy. :P

Then they come to the conclusion if anyone knows were Ryu is, it has to be Ken. And then Cammy says: "What if we aren't the only ppl who came to that conclusion?", and then Viper is shown in front of Ken and Eliza's house.
In this scene here, Cammy says Viper: "I dunno who you are", and she says to Ryu: "But she is testing you".
I know she says all of this looking in one direction and in one quote, but she spoke to Ryu and Viper together.
Before Cammy showed up, you all knew Ryu was about to give Viper the hands. 😂

I like hoe when c viper fights canny, she shows that the gadgets are generally doing the most in combat. This makes Ryu easily overpowering them even more impressive.

I mean, sure, the only difference was that Cammy White had her cute facial scar from a long time ago, thanks to one claw swipe by Vega during her Killer Bee days in Shadaloo and Sagat almost had his diaphragm opened with one Metsu Shoryuken when he got his, but still, the bruises hurt like Hell.
