This should be the future of Chuck E. Cheese in my opinion...the 1.5 remodel! It's not too late yet and there are still several other great stages out there. With that being said, the only way CEC is going to keep doing this is if people actually go and it makes money. If not they will look at the numbers and say "This isn't making any more money than the other remodels so nobody cares about the animatronics" and call this idea off.
But then again, what’s the reason to go to a cec without the animatronics. It just like any other arcade now. Mediocre pizza, mediocre, and a dance floor. Trust me they made way more money with the animatronics because it gave people a reason to go. They are not making RIGHT NOW with 2.0. Very idiotic company

Yeah, the last remodel concepts from CEC to keep the animatronics is phase 5, I hope 2.0 does that too.

Chris I’m with you on saving Pineville. I’m hoping that if all else that amazing store gets to live for generations with its stage. In fact I’m going to do the save Pineville tag on my next video that I post on Beach Kai. We’ll make sure that stage stays around!
Me personally, I hope that Tallahassee can get a chance to hang around. It may be in poor shape but that store to me is just like northridge with a 3-stage, just much younger. If the tech can get the bots in better shape I think it’s a perfect candidate.

@@The-Backpack46 I've heard the same rumor but even as of this week none of my sources at corporate have even heard of this idea and no one there is talking about it or confirming it so it seems to be just a rumor being shared among store managers and staff. But that's a start, lets add fan voices to it and make it a reality! #savepineville3stage
I wonder if they'll ever revert back to the classic phase cec for fans in years to come...even though they went through all the trouble now of demolishing the classic phase cec stores like this one. 🤔

Problem is, the curtain systems seem to have a curse of being hard to maintain and all that. Part of why, say, Billy Bob's Wonderland can't keep them going anymore.
I asked a staff and they pretty much said they don't know if there returning there is always hope

this is one of the best remodels and thats all it took we would've saved so many stages
This is literally exactly what they could've done for 2.0. They didn't have to remove the animatronics. They could've had their silly dance floor, tv's, removed all history, and kept the animatronics. They literally SPEND MORE in removing them rather than giving them prolonged care.
Northridge, both keeping the stage and having a dance floor, is actually canon to CEC
The ending of new programming in combination with this hybrid store, kinda *excites* me because it means we might see these characters perform old tapes/shows that haven't been done in decades!
I highly doubt they're gonna play anything past 2014.
Nice to see the store during it's remodeling process after watching the tour of the actual remodel when it was finished. Still stand by the feeling both the band and dance floor could coexist together within more locations. This is a step in the right direction at least

As someone who’s never had the chance to see a full stage in person I was so relieved to hear that Tallahassee’s store was keeping it’s 3 stage a little longer; it’s the closest one to where I live and I’m planning my trip there as we speak!! It’d be amazing if they turned that store into a retro store too, it seems to hold the last 3 stage in the whole state from what I found.
3 stages really are magical my colrain ohio location I grew up with closed in 2019 cause of pandemic my mom has pictures at same location as rock a fire explosion so sad it just gone forever
I hope they do this at atleast every different stage type. I would love to see a 3 stage get saved. If they saved this one im sure they can save a 3 stage. Plenty of fans mad that they are removing them

YAY!!!! THEY KEPT THEM! If I had to guess the Cowboy and Tux Chuck statues probably got sold, either in an auction or online. Either way, I’m glad corporate chose the good ending. 😄😄
Here’s my idea for the retro stores. Keep at least one of every stage type. Doesn’t have to be every store that has it, but just one of each. Here’s the stores that I think they should keep.
3-Stage: Charlotte, NC (Pineville-Matthews Rd)
Road Stage: Mississauga, ON (With bots from Corona, CA)
1-Stage: Plaza Oeste, CL
Studio C Alpha: Bridgewater, NJ
Studio C Beta: Warren, OH
Studio C Cappa: Joplin, MO
Circles of Light (W/Bot): Naples, FL
CU 1-Stage: Springfield, IL
I think the retro stores should be done based on two factors:
1: preservation of each type of stage at bare minimum
2: presence of 2.0 stores in that area meaning any remaining stages are saved as well, though perhaps requiring that they're in *good condition*.
Nah replace the 1 stage with Hicksville
Ik im late but whats upp im so glad that they are saving the animatronics because my OG Location is in dearborn Michigan and it went through three changes like the 3 stage to the Studio C and finally to the dance floor. Its sad knowing my location got the full makeover so hopefully in the future the wonderful and amazing animatronics will be saved we have to believe and keep fighting for our childhood amd future generations ❤️

I don’t live in California, but this is still exciting news to hear! Recently I went with my family to a newly remodeled Chuck E. Cheese. I have 7 nieces and nephews and what was interesting to me was the fact that none of them cared for the video wall or dance floor. They only played games and rode the rides, along with eating that delicious pizza of course! It was weird not seeing the animatronics and when I talked about the experience to my friends they didn’t like it either when they took their kids. So while my CEC is suffering from the disaster that is the 2.0 remodel I’m glad the powers that be have reversed their decision on removing the stages.
I absolutely love how they keeped the old stage and didn’t just get rid of it they should do this to the 3 stages from the rockfire explosion.

Do you know what time I visited the Pineville location? It was the only three states that I’ve ever visited in my life. And I Location has a special time in my heart as sometimes I would go with my cousins, and we would have the best times of my life.#savepinville
Altoona Pennsylvania’s 3 stage is in its original location too and was also a ShowBiz and is basically as old.
This is giving me so much hope. If we keep fighting, then maybe we *can* save our remaining shows.

This is so amazing! I cannot believe corporate actually decided to keep the animatronics. We need to get one 3 stage saved.
Watching this video helps to numb the pain of learning just two days ago, that my main childhood CEC (Monroe St.) got the 2.0 remodel, and who knows what happened to the sign, the art, the bots....
At least Airport Hwy's is still untouched and uses the same version of the stage, I plan on visiting both soon! PLEASE CEC, KEEP AIRPORT HIGHWAY OR A SIMILAR RESTAURANT OF THE SAME ERA AS A RETRO, MY CHILDHOOD SELF WILL BE SO GRATEFUL!

yes, Jasper T Jowls was singing Ace in the hole in that movie and I got to say Chuck E Cheese Northridge Ca, that I'm proud of them for keeping the stage and they should kept every stages for every 2.0
I made that comment about “Made.” After seeing the videos of this store and that movie, I instantly knew it was the location from that movie. “Ace in the Hole” plays during the duration of that scene and through the end credits.
I also know that the Chuck E. Cheese in Sun Valley, CA was featured in the 1991 film “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” starring Christina Applegate.
The one in Burbank was also in an episode of “Yes, Dear.”

It should be the 3 stage to be saved because it's well maintained and in the best shape out of the remaining left.
Y'know, I'm happy the store is keeping the shelves and stage, but it's just not the same anymore. Before the remodel this store was just so good, the old posters, dim lighting around the store, and other decor. And now it lost all of that. I'm grateful that the stage is staying however.

For anyone wondering the tux and cowboy chuck statue went to corp same goes the football one at thousand oaks someone working at corp wanted the statues so they decide to take them they are not destroyed
Ya'll, stop asking me if I checked for the art behind the games lol. There is no art anywhere in the restaurant right now. Not behind the basketball game or any other game. It was at first until they knew where they were sending it and now its gone. It still being there is just a web rumor. However, there is a chance some of it may come back to the walls but that won't be till the end of the remodel if ever. We will have to wait and see. But, there is NO artwork left in the store aside from what's next to the stage. Period. And yes, I have confirmed this.
Springfield, IL is also trying to do this with their unique CU-1 Stage

I really hope this is the future of Chuck E. Cheese goes for when it comes to point out remodels you keep the animatronics adding in your new fancy Dancefloor keeping both people happy if there are any people happy with the dance floor

There is a bit of a rumor going around that the cowboy and tux Chuck statues were taken by someone at corporate not long before the remodel started (the corp employee also took thousand oak’s props
They could've kept the can lighting as well. Oh well. We don't get everything we want. Loving the remodel and progress though.
This is where I grew up I grew up in this chuck E. cheese I always went here When I was 3 I am sad did they change the 80s original chuck E. cheese to a new chuck E. cheese it is sad to see this
The one issue with Pineville having a video wall is that there is no longer any wall on the opposite side of the stage. It’s been gone for decades. However, it’s not to say that doing a hybrid store is impossible for Pineville
Hialeah may have had the same issue, the stage was along the wall near the children's games and when it got 2.0, the ugly gigantic TV was placed in the COMPLETE other end of the store, in the heart of where all the games used to be. They moved the children's games to be along the TV wall and moved all the games to where the stage used to be..
the fortunate thing is pineville has an expanded area from their 2010 remodel, meaning they could probably put it there
Hopefully Charlotte, NC gets similar treatment. It'd be nice having a retro store on the east coast (and I don't live too far from it lol)

I really hope that the corporate gives the new future for these animatronic fellas for the fans despite how they got on with the modern Dance Floor. Hopefully they could redesign the 1 and 2 Stages along with Road Stages like what Phase 4 tried to do in some stores as CU 1-Stage, such as some PTT stages like Balcony Stage (Road Stages) and Rocker Stage (1 and 2 Stages) but keep 3 Stages unchanged with some retro decorations.

Unfortunately i cant visit this one of a kind store cuz I’m all the way in Florida (My local had a Cool Road stage which had Pink on Helen’s box) sadly my local remodeled around Thanksgiving 2021. Which also became the 1st Road Stage Removed for 2.0
