I actually remember clearly my parents taking me here to the Kooser rd location when I was little. Had to be in the 1980s I remember the cheese house or fun house inside. I don’t recall the exact name, but it always creeped me out. I remember as a kid it was always quite difficult to find my way out of the cheese house.
Since Today is February 25th 2024, and even it's my mother's 54th birthday and even thanks for filming this Chuck E Cheese's ( now closed ) on Kooser Rd In San Jose, CA san Jose ca and even btw can you wish my mother a happy birthday
Happy Birthday to your mom!
@@SetsStreetsEats she said thank you so much and even also she said thank you so much for hanging out at our location of the Chuck E Cheese's in Hicksville Ny and even she said have a great day
I’m going to Tallahassee to check out the last 3 stage in fl
Happy Birthday!!
@@SetsStreetsEats I love your videos
I love how you can just tell from the exterior it used to be a Pizza Time Theater / Chuck E. Cheese
And before it originally opened as PTT on December 2, 1978, it was once a grocery store.
I wish Kooser was still open but im glad you got to see the building before something happens
I also wish the original Winchester Blvd. location had never closed. That was the store that began the company on May 17, 1977, and I think its February 1985 closing was due to the video game crash of '83 and the subsequent resignation of its founder Nolan Bushnell as CEO.
I'm little late but this right here is my childhood memories back in 2005 my mom always take us to Chuck e cheese with good attitude I'm now 24 i didn't know little chuck e cheese was closed is hard they always closed our childhood places alot the jungle san Jose was my childhood too oh yeah thanks for making that video
Here’s a sad fact
A fan of CEC was asked to Destroy the Cybers which he/she/they did
I actually went here back in 2005, after my high school graduation… Did a CEC tour trip for the weekend. I have some recorded footage somewhere on VHS. This location was definitely fun to go to as a child back in the early 90’s. Great memories
I’m from the bay area and have been told I have gone to this location all the time which is cool to know after watching your video. I remember going to the first ever Chuck E. Cheese here in the bay! Glad to have that awesome chain started here!
I always wanted to see this location up close i tried to find someone go here but no one did so thanks for going there.
It would be crazy if CEC Entertainment bought back the building and re-opened it.
But it would been a 2.0 store
@@Funimationthegroupas long as the oldest cec store is still operating I’m fine with it
its been done before (Fairfield, California, Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Wilmington, Delaware are some examples)
How about if Winchester opening again
@@FunimationthegroupWinchester's building was demolished in 2001. Surprisingly, the building used to be a seafood restaurant in 1985. The spot where Winchester once was is now a parking lot.
They should make that into a CEC museum
im glad they atleast still have the building up, this was my childhood location during 2010's era, I wanted to go there during 2020 for my birthday before the lockdown happened but my mom said no of course lol but then sadly the whole store gets closed down permanently couple months later. I still pass by this location from time to time on the road!!
This was my childhood Chuck E. Cheese growing up! I have so many memories of birthday parties, wildly running around with my cousins, and spending all day playing the arcade games. I’ve since moved to Sacramento and am about to turn 30. It makes me so sad that so much of my childhood (especially in my original hometown) is fading away 😔
Wait a sec, this one had the very first balcony stage called “Showboat”.😮
I Wish I Could Turn Back Time to See this Place When it Was a Phase 3, 4, and PTT!
google maps
edit: it only goes back to 2018
re-edit: if you go to the road next to it you can go to 2008
@@2ndGenMitzithank you
@@2ndGenMitzi I Love Doing That on Google Maps because I can Go see Abandoned Places before Being Abandoned
@@ThatColumbusGuyy or even my local Chuck E. Cheese the street view goes to 2008, and at that point they were only 4 years old (opened in April 2004). This year they turn 20 years old, even though they got 2.0 2 years ago.
@@WhoDidWhat17 wow.... Time goes by to Fast..
Oh man this is gonna be cool! If you have the chance, visit Santana Row in San Jose. Santana Row was previously the Town and Country Village mall, and was also the site of the first PTT ever at 370 S Winchester Blvd.
Yeah, I visited there at the end of my CEC Tully rd video last year :)
@@3105ace I literally say where it is in my comment above.
@SetsStreetsEats hey Chris you can come to chuck e cheese in North olmsted ohio for your next video
Chris please
@@SetsStreetsEats Good to know, I'll have to watch that video again, I probably didn't watch it all the way through.
glad to see you're covering abandoned chuck e cheese and other places too, those places need to be preserved
Hey, Chris Bower. I just want to provide an update on Chuck E Cheese's in Mira Mesa, California, since your last visit. The 2-Stage is removed, and the 2.0 remodel has already begun.
It’s a shame that these companies don’t care about preserving this amazing history
Dragon’s Lair blew my mind at this location. Ironically this was a very cool and dark arcade during the early 80s. Lots of good memories from here. We lived about 2 miles away.
I’m surprised after all these years the kooser building is still intact. I can’t believe Fontaine road and Covid is what caused them to closed. Maybe CEC can reopen here for the fans.
If i remember, an affordable housing project was proposed to go on the site, of which it seemingly has not happened yet as of 2024.
It’s so neat, especially to see the shelves like Northridge has
I always love going to a Chuck E. Cheese and I know of 2 of them in my state!!! 3108 Alpine Ave NW, Walker Michigan and 3671 28th St. SE, Grand Rapids Michigan!!! I never been to the one on 28th Street, but I have been to the one on Alpine Ave so many times that I lost count on it!!! So you are from Flint Michigan, Chris... I'm from Grand Rapids Michigan!!!
Im from Michigan aswell!
7:45 wish it was that simple…
It sounds like the opening of a good horror movie… an open door of an abandoned pizza restaurant. Deranged robotic anamorphic animals greet you as you turn the corner.
Hmmm…..
I wonder what a movie like that could be that came out October 27th 2023….
@@SlushysSecret I didn't see that movie, but I have no doubt that Chris' version would be way better than anyone else's.
This is definitely gonna be a kicker! The second location, back in San Jose! This is truly exciting, too bad the store got shut down during the pandemic though.
The Covid-19 pandemic really stopped everything in its tracks. Everything shutdown and people couldn't go anywhere until finally some places opened back up but with masks requirements and social distancing guidelines.
Also I heard that Covid-19 is coming back so I hope that stores won't shutdown again and the CDC won't require masks again in stores and social distancing measures even again.
@@bridgetraveler7700 Yeah.
Hi Chris this video is so Cool , have a great weekend Chris.
I love abandoned CEC videos, thanks for posting this!!
I use to go there as a kid in the early 90’s mom worked at Mervyn's across the street. Good times
Omg my mom would take me shopping at Mervyns there :(
It closed down, later in the future I worked in the same plaza. How times changeb
I used to love going here when it was open!
I see the very old mascot of chuck e cheese on the video
Oh my god Kooser my beloved 😭😭😭
I LOVE KOOSER AND WINCHESTER AND I WISH IT WAS STILL OPEN SAME WITH THE ORIGINAL
3:03 I already miss this location
Tbh Kooser Rd Is Actually One Of My Fav Chuck E Cheese Locations!
That location of Chuck E. Cheese opened when I was a month old
Yoo how did I not see this!!
How 'bout that loud bang from inside the building while he was peeking inside? Lol.
That was Williams springlocks going off.
I bet if it wasnt closed. Since they had every remodel for thr logo, there would be a 2.0 there
Rip, they had dolli dimples, a portrait stage, the mopsey sisters, and many more when they opened
It’s sad, but fascinating. They should do something CEC related with the building
Can you do a video of where the first location was or where it used to be on Winchester Blvd in San Jose California?
I did a short clip in front of that address location in my Tully rd location video that I released in 2022
Too bad we didn't get the "EPIC KOOSER ABONDENED TOUR CIRCA 2029, WE GOT INSIDE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?"
I used to go to this location rarely but I only know Kooser road because my grandma lives on kooser
I live in San Jose and have been to that Chuck E. Cheese, I worked across the street for many years. sad 😢
I LOVE YOUR VIDS SO MUCH❤❤❤
RIP former phase 5 location with sky tubes and a 2 stage.
(1979-2020)
My first few birthdays were at this location. I was bummed when I saw this was closed
yay Another cec ptt
They should make this location the official CEC museum.
I hope you make it to the 200th video 😊
oh man i had my birthday here when i was like seven and was wondering what happened to this location, rip.
That my old local location 😢
12:32 didn’t the first balcony stage originate from an Arlington Texas store? Or is this the second one made for a location
No, any Texas firsts would have been years later, after the merger of Showbiz and Chuck e cheese. This was back in the 70s in the PTT days and here in San Jose, this location had many firsts.
So sad the location is abandoned
So Chris I got a question, what made you start going to Chuck E. Cheese’s and vlog the places? I’m glad you did because you made me love the 90s artwork (ashamed they’re all remolded) and you taught me a lot about CEC. So thanks Chris. But why did you start?
because I loved Showbiz and the Rocka fire Explosion and after finding a few of those, moving on to CEC's was a natural conclusion.
Can this video make me feel like cheer up on here tonight sets streets and eats
I hope so!
Do you know why I want this video to make me feel like cheer up on here tonight sets streets and eats
19:16 back when the pizza was actually great. Lol.
My son had his 3rd bday party there in 2003. It was a great location
I didn’t see any no trespassing signs 👀 I think you would be good
I had to pause it at 19:54 to get a good look at the picture and sure enough, in the corner on the left, it looks like there's a flag! Mystery solved: I had to have gone here during that C stage phase since they're gone by the time of the two stage. I remember the two stage layout best, but that picture verifies my memory of the flags at that store lol
I just thought of the same idea of going inside and putting it on patreon right when you mentioned it 😂. But yes among all things your safety is the biggest priority. Leave that for the UA-camrs who risk their lives in each video of their channel 😅
Why bother going in? There's nothing in there. They trash & take out everything before they close down the store permanently. If anything you're going find in there it's homeless people or worse.. dangerous people. Druggies. Tweakers. They're the beings you're going encounter if you enter place this. Or much worse.. a chuck e cheese mascot with knife or gun dressed by gang member. Possibly? Never go in somewhere unknown that's abandoned. It's not chuck e cheese anymore it was before. It's not now. It's place for bad people or unlively people. Edit.
Have you ever did a video of the original location? If so what’s the title for the video because I have been looking for it but I can’t find it.
This is gonna slay 💜
3:35 Why is there a Five nights at Freddy’s poster right there
What happen to the mascot from that location
This location closed? I thought it reopened sometime after 2020
it shutdown during the pandemic in 2020 sadly
@@galaxykatyt Oh, guess I heard a rumor that it was going to reopen after the pandemic but it never did.
I used to go to that Chuck E. Cheese before that Chuck E. Cheese shut down
Correction
19:01 It wasn't called the "Atari Theater" it was called the "Fantasy Forest Game Preserve" and it wasn't the last.
19:05-19:26 That's footage from the Winchester Blvd location
19:41 Pretty sure that's not from Kooser
Can you try to visit macsway in columbus?
I usually drive by there when I’m in town. It’s pretty much boarded up now since it closed in 2020. It was my childhood Showbiz. I was fortunate to take my son there before they closed in 2018 and 19. I still wouldn’t mind if he stopped by there and gave some history facts about it
ah this location, went here when it was still open in 2018, the only cec I went to with a sticky carpet, I do not wish to know how it got that way
Wait Chris, please before you do any more other videos can you please do a series of abandon Chuck E. Cheese
Where’s Crusty the cat😢
Can you vistit lcec locaiton essex maryland dimand point plaza
Are you going inside?
Did they move to a different location
yea they moved to a different location
No, sadly because they already had the Tully road location there in San Jose A few miles away, they just closed this one and left Tully road open
It’s a shame that 34 CECs closed in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic. Including one in my home state of Georgia in the town of Macon Georgia in Middle Georgia. Next time you’re in Georgia go by the abandoned CEC in Macon Georgia and see if it’s still there or not. It’s on Mercer university street
If only they didn’t make the place smaller and lower the roof where the portraits were
Since this Chuck E Cheese is closed and vacant, are they gonna replace it with a music venue, a Freddy Fazbear Pizza, or Something similar to Chuck E Cheese's to replace this Former Chuck E Cheese
Hey Chris - My kids spent a ton of fun time at the Kooser store. But in the ad there was a Confederate Flag waving away. In San Jose?
Yeah, amazingly for the first couple years their show rooms had confederate flags in them till they wizened up and removed them in the very early 80's.
And your boys probably got to play in the Chuck E Cheese Town which was an old town street play place with tunnels and slides in it. This was one of the few locations that had it :)
This might seem crazy but that was my old local one it had a 2 stage
FYI this location is about to be apartments so get your once in a lifetime inside the ajar door tours while you can
Hong Kong close 35 years
concord wants to speak to you chris
Didn't Concord get the remodel?
If you're going to post something like this. Could you please give more information? this is incredibly vague. I have no idea who wants to talk to me. Or why. Could you please tell me?
So Yes, I've confirmed Concord did get their remodel so there is no need for me to go there. I knew they had because I was there the night they started it and didn't bother to do a video. I don't know what your original post means but its rather annoying vague.
This location can still be saved. A proposal for apartments was sent but hasn’t gotten the required Native American approval yet for that parcel. Stop replacing kids places with houses. San Jose has hardly anything left to do
They used to sell pizza for 5$
Yo I just went to that place at 9
I had my 3 year old birthday at that Chuck E. Cheese
Visit a dz discovery zone
I did in my first Cincinnati video.
the windows are boarded up so you cant see anything inside
#openkosserroad
You can be stabbed to death by chuck e cheese subjects for example a living chuck e cheese on the Tronic
Mmm p
