The funny part is when they say it to the old lady in town and Eric rides up behind them and says, "Oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can say ni at will to old ladies."
Essentially the best part of the whole series of related jokes.
That is literally my favorite moment in the entire film

Does anyone else imagine how fun it would be to act in one of these movies or is it just me?
Not funny… costumes were made out of wool. And as you can imagine, it’s rather cold and wet in Scotland… lots of rain and stuff. Also, nearly anything that could have possible gone wrong went wrong during the production. I mean yes it is fun, but it’s a hell lot of work and most days are quite tough. I’m kinda speaking of experience here, I was part of a play on an open stage, no rooftop. We were constant exposed to the weither and we had to work there everyday from May until early July. No matter how cold or hot or rainy or sunny it was. Funnily enough, that play was also set in the Middle Ages so I can even more relate to this lol.
Perhaps just you... but then it might not be possibly - acting is very dangerous so I think maybe, maybe not probably - then you never know...
We used to have the script as kids and act out all our favorite scenes during a night of smoking weed 😅

this is surprisingly (and probably the only) thing in the movie which is funnier in German, because the Knights who say Ni is "Die Ritter, die Ni sagen" in German, which can also be understood as "Die Ritter, die nie sagen" which isn't gramatically perfect but means "the knights who never say/speak" :D

I remember my 12th grade English teacher put this movie on for the class one day and none of my classmates had ever seen the movie before. It was my favorite time watching it getting to see them react to everything and this part was by far everyone's favorite moment.
