I have at least 8 how to draw books. I avoided using them because which one should I use first? I had a light bulb moment and am working through ALL of them. I draw in the evening before bed time, around 30 minutes and a different book every night. It's been brilliant! I don't get stuck on something I struggle with, skills I learn from one book, I can transfer to another. I'm having a great time and am, finally, drawing. I credit all the Draw Tip Tuesdays with freeing me up - thank you!
You are one of the BESTEST art teachers out there, thanks Koosje! I'll just let the hand lotion sink in then I shall do this thing! A realization I had yesterday was that even though I don't want to draw this city that I'm in bc don't want to remember it, I can just use photos to draw anywhere in the world - just to get going on developing skills! Then when I do travel and draw from reality, I won't feel so out of my depth 😁
I did it! Grabbed my pomegranates (love those for breakfast) and copic ciaos which I've had ages but am not very familiar with them (but they'll dry out if not used so better use them!) and held them loosely like a brush: It was challenging to leave white space for highlights, but I left *some 😅 About time my sketchbook got a color injection! 🌈 Have looked up ecolines too; as soon as I've confirmed they're vegan and cruelty-free, I can get some!
@@KoosjeKoene yes indeed! I messed up on the drop shadow but who cares? I drew something YaY! 🥳🥳 Did another blind contour single line thingie too and inspired by your recent sketchbook tour, added some color in the background!
Thank you for always inspiring us! I'm spending my weekend mostly at home and I just spend my time in front of my blank sketchbook really not knowing what to draw. It's those kinds of days where nothing seems interesting :/ and I'd like to thank you for always reminding us to just draw and not think too much :)
I just started a sketchbook allowing me 10 to 15 min. so I don’t get discouraged. I also use for now, only a pen so I can’t erased so less stress for me. Thank to you for your video and motivation.
Fun!! Thanks for stepping out of the "normal" to add different colors and even a different hand! I also love learning a word in a new language. Thank you!!
Saluton Koosje Koene 🙂 My name is Donald McCullough and I have been watching and enjoying your videos for some time on different devices. I like to draw also. I turn most of my sketchbooks into illustrated journals. If you like I could email you some photos of the articles in them?
"Is it important? Of course it is because I was drawing it." So true, Koosje. Great video.
Thank you!
Enjoyed the video.
WOW! you used my quote at the end of the film 😘
As ever this is a lovely film and yes I will be drawing fruit tomorrow.
It's a fantastic quote! Thank you!

I loved it when you used your left hand to add fun to your drawing.
Me too! It brings an element of surprise and playfulness
That was so much fun, thank you Koosje!

Overthinking can really block us. Glad I could remind you that everything is interesting as soon as you start drawing it.
I think you, with blue shirt and yellow sweater, are an interesting drawing object itself :D

That's great! No time wasted on thinking what to draw with. The pen, your sketchbook, 10-15 min. I think it's a great recipe!
Highlight of my day is seeing a new video from you Koosje!
Awww thanks!
