Wow, melee combat looks so satisfying now. I wasn't too happy with it in the first one so focused mostly on ranged weapons but now I'll go for a melee build.
Bro! You did an excellent job explaining this and actually showing both keyboard & mouse and also controller just made it that much better! Truly appreciate the effort you put into this video! Still watching but had to take a moment to say this! Cheers ✌️
Have to say, great and indepth video! I really liked what you did with showing the buttons during combat. Also happy that at some point you decided to not play the slowed down sound with slomo footage, because I think the sound gets annoying quickly. I feel like I didn't need slomo for every move, but maybe I'll actually be thankful for it when I get to playing the game. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for this video. I only started the second chapter in Elex 1, but the sequel is patiently awaiting on Steam and unless I'm Elex-fatigued, I plan to dive into it right after finishing the first.
The most OP and cheesy move in this game is dodge roll-hit. Deal massive stamina damage, stagger and cancel enemy attack. Especially effective against troll type monsters, killed my first troll during Fort mission with pipe ))) The only exeption is flying monsters, for them parry and 2 executins in a row works perfect.
Oh wow, this video got me to kill pretty much everything at level 1. ×What where they thinking with the sprint attack into execute into execute loop for aslong as u have stamina. Played on hard before but have to switch to extreme now cuz nothing is a challenge anymore. But still great video dude, lot of effort for sure
Let's hope the parry with 2 handed weapons get fixed without the need of mods, this is probably the only thing preventing me from really enjoying the 2 handed style. Though it still works to negate damage. Also you didn't speak about dodge attacks : after dodging (or side stepping) you can do attacks with lots of stagger and stamina damage.
wow ! i have the game but still haven't touch it, i have no problems with combat in Elex1 but this looks more satisfying, hope chainsaw sword available here too, it was my favorite weapon in Elex1
I am using the trick of using potions directlt from the inventory, then there is no drinking animation and i can also dring 3 small potions if needed. 👍
You can do a superhero landing after free falling without taking damage. If you are free falling fowards you will do a roll. This is not about combat but I noticed this for the jetpack (was going to die and instincts saved me xD) . As long as you time it right if you boost just before the landing no matter how little difference it makes on your fall speed you don't take damage (I did it while free falling and having less of a second for boost). It works like a manual retrorocket. Also makes the jetpack a lot more usable and kind of a safe-slow vs risky-fast situation. Retrorockets become kind of useless so don't spent those precious LP points there.
Woow! Its released?! My UA-cam algorithm is full of Elden Ring that i dont know that this game is actually release! Got another new game to play then...
Seriously, unironically thanks for this. From what I saw: - awful hitboxes - 100% shield block against any attack (wut?) - poor animations overall and terrible on large creatures - reskinned enemies (like many - also those that look a bit different use same animations) I liked ranged and overall amount of possibilities in combat. That moment when agitators did a group blink was also super nice. Still, I will wait for sale. (unless reviews will tell that story is absolute gamechanging masterpiece) Thx
Hi, could you answer: 1. What the point of using parry instead of dodging with two-handed weapons? 2. Whats the point of blocking with shield instead of dodging?
Combat tip : get drone, kill new enemies get there rifles and plasma ammo and lvl up dex and str and u kill from far easy grind XP PS: Dont forget kill most of map in chapters(im not so far yet but gothic series had (chapter) world respawn on so....
In the first game, when you reach the main settlement town I feel like you can get really lost, too much quest overload, and just a feeling of not knowing where to go or what to do next because of the abundance of stuff thrown at you. Is this game going to be that same way again or is it going to be more "straighforward" because I just got lost and I didn't know which quest I wanted to do in the first game which ultimately let me not want to play it. I don't mind exploring and experimenting where I'm strong and where I'm not but before I purchase this I want to make sure. Either way, this game looks awesome and I want to support it.
In the first one you take on all quests in the first city Goliet. Do the ones within or close to city limits until you can't progress any further and are forced to do the ones that are further away. By then you're probably strong enough to spend your skill points to wield the weapons that cause enough damage. You can look at it as a set up to learn about the world of Magalan, or as a tutorial area.
Pretty much just do everything when you get to the fort in Elex 2. The whole purpose is to eventually get a shot at talking to the Berzerker leader in the area, Rat.
You basicly run to all the factions and do quests until you get to the point where you need to commit to a faction. From what I remember a lot of the quests usually have hidden solutions for you to discover and or branch out over multiple npc's and areas, if you explore a bit, rather than just going from point a to point b and finish it the way the npc told you.
I never playd Elex2 , I've tried 1st one and didnt finish it just got bored of it since i didnt like it at all. i liked all risen and gothic games tho. You guys think i should try Elex 2? it looks much polished than 1st one.
2 steps forward, 1 step back. Great combat (not just for a PB game, really good combat minus some balancing flaws with Berserkers and level scaling), jetpack, factions and graphics. But on the other hand, the world is much more bland looking, and the main story has awful writing and the worst set of quests in the second half of any PB game to date.
You didnt said anything about the combo Kick + RMB.If timed right, with one-handed, you do damage and stun, keeping an enemy in stunlock. After ~3 hits he's on the ground and you can do the execute move.
Stamina issues on elex 1 were easily addressed with getting Chemistry early and using golden whispers for stamina pots. There even 2 of them right next to your First camp. Is there a similar potion/herb in elex 2 or do I absolutely need to use Consitution and the stamina skills?
Game is amazing and have always been a huge fan of this company. Very surprised they have taken out 2 handed swords though…kinda disappointed with that.
I don't understand why enemies have time to drink tea in the middle of a fight. I'm a Gothic player, I want the enemy to attack me ! After Risen 1 the studio died.
How can I launch magic attacks? I got the skill finally but I am unable to launch fireballs with the berserker and can't find anything on the controls...
Hey, are you still gonna do the Video on faction-specific Combat-Abilities which you teased at the End of this Video? I just played the Game these past few Days, and when I was playing as a Berserker Firemage, I found some of the secondary Fire-Abilities quite obscure and difficult to use properly. So I was rather saddened when I saw you never made the Video that you teased at the End of this one. (Could it be that such a Video just wouldn't be worth it because the bad Sales of the Game imply that perhaps not enough People would watch such a Video? Would be a Shame, but I'd understand if that was the Reason.)
I wonder if there's a way to get all three factions together and reap all the benefits? I dislike being locked into a single faction and have to play an entire game all over again just to enjoy the stuff in those sides I didn't choose. Kind of like a jack-of-all-trades play style. Also, does the game still require you do non-combat quests early on just so you can level up and get better gear and skills or else it will be too hard? Or does it have a much more balanced approach now?
Wait for patches on PC guys the game has a lot of performance issues,i have a rtx 2080 ti,i cant even get 60 fps on medium settings, especially in bigger towns/cites the fps goes to 20,the camera is not adjustable at all and it zooms on your character after u stop running to the point where i got motion sickness,i hope they fix this i am a huge PB fan but this is unaceptable.
Pirahna bytes games are an automatic pass for me except Maneater where they learned about the concept of *Effort* . As we can see they dropped the ball again...
If it had a character creator and mods i could get in, which is probably the other real reason people couldn’t get into the first or even the second as this is still a thing :/

Huge PB fan since Gothic 1, glad to have you doing videos on these games. I am stoked to try Elex 2 tomorrow :)
This is my most anticipated RPG of 2022, so I’m super excited. Loved the first game! I love Piranha Bytes RPG’s & they’re personally my fav! ✌️
Elex 2 such huge improvement over Elex 1, Can't wait to explore every hole in this game and replay every faction.
Bro! You did an excellent job explaining this and actually showing both keyboard & mouse and also controller just made it that much better! Truly appreciate the effort you put into this video! Still watching but had to take a moment to say this! Cheers ✌️
I do not know a single thing about this game but I know you have been excited about it so I can't wait to learn more 🥰
This game looks sick like it starts of as Fallout/Wasteland then turns into Xcom with all this alien tech🔥love stuff like this
I’ve been playing and I found rolling and attacking also works really good
This is how I fight having played witcher but it uses stamina too quickly
Great video thanks! There was too much i didnt understand about melee so i was mostly avoiding it. This turns the table :)

Thx so much, perfect vid before my start tomorrow!
Any edge I can have I humbly accept. Thanks so much for the controller descriptions! I don’t always see that in videos.
Clocked it twice in 4 days and just learned from this video there's a kick and parry, lol. Nice video, great game!
I like the closer camera to Jax compared to the first one.
Great guide dude! I’m looking forward to your review!
I can't wait!
I enjoyed the first game. I'm probably getting this after Elden Ring

Great video!
Great tips yet again, throughly enjoying the game. Though noticing a few bugs
Hyped to play tomorrow. I just beat the first game a couple weeks ago

I srsly thought my game was broken, the first time i realized the 2-h parry bug!
Very indepth. It really helped me alot. Cheers!
I'll wait to get it once when a few patches are out :) plus, I'm not in a hurry with any game due to my full-time school and full-time job schedule

Bravo samo napred svaka čast
in the first part, close combat was difficult, but enjoyable. here it's just a click, there's no drive

can't believe I spent the entire game not realizing I could LITERALLY kick the crap out of people
Sounds much better than Elex 1, now the animations need some work and maybe i'll be Back for Elex 3 👍

Only two gripes I have with the game is that there is about half a second delay for dialogue voice-overs and that enemies movements are super clunky.
Thx 👍

now we are back to hybrid build 150+ STR and 103 INT melee and rain of fire but the melee dmg needs to be fix else hand crafted world will be useless
One step back, attack animation end, counterattack...lmao like in every piranha game actually
does the attack-animation change when the skill level is upped?
Asking real questions around here!
Combat looks much much easier than Elex1
Am I missing something or are headshots with ranged weapons really not doing any extra damage?
playing this after elden ring directly will be very hard for you to complete the first 2 hours
Can’t wait to play it but my potato probably can’t run it 🙁

How is the game's performance?
Some reviews say the performance is terrible. 30 fps in settlements with top-end hardware.
I have a 1080 TI, 8GB ram and an old processor and it ran butter smooth seamlessly on High settings. I think it just varies from system to system.
Going to play Elex 2 before Elden Ring, Elex was fun! It was brutal 😂
Elden ring is ridiculously hard in comparison
I'd like to play this but I'll need a better PC :(

Question: why you call top difficulty Ultimate? officially it's called "Ultra" in english
It appears I have dyslexia, lmao. I could swear Elex 1 top difficulty was called Ultimate as well. Oh well. It's fixed now. At least the title.
so what is the heavy punch? the red gem gives this damage?
