Avid Power: amzn.to/3JVM72i Worx: amzn.to/3JUBgpe
Today we check out the latest from Worx, their Nitro High Torque WX276L up against the Milwaukee 2767 it matches in the specs as well as the Avid Power ACIW338 - the latest impact from the top selling brand on Amazon.

I imagine that long suffering engineer at Worx, long forced to make weak budget tools, finally given permission to make something actually good, a victory for consumers and budget tool designers!
Years of value engineering forced to gimp designs down to bottom dollar build costs, it must feel freeing to have less constrained objectives for a project finally.
Lmfao engineer? Most of these places don't engineer shit. They already have prints from whoever makes Milwaukee or Dewalts tools and simply source or make components as cheap as possible.
We use worx drivers in high product furniture assembly. They never let us down.
@@bstamand1985 Interesting! perhaps higher quality then I"m aware of, a brand to put on my radar now.
@Kingsoupturbo yea our ceo is as cheap as they come so we were limited on what brand. So we bought 3 2in1 drivers and one regular drill driver. They've all lasted 8 months without issues. 10 hours a day.
In a world teetering on irreversible chaos, TTC is a calming island of stability. For a few brief minutes, all is right in the world 🙂

Wow. You must owe him money or something.

Fridays at work always are complete with TCC uploads!
I suspect the worx uses an energy management chip that ramps up the current to the motor and therefore neuters below a certain battery, on purpose, to protect the battery/tool. Hence the spool up on a DC motor... the mass can get there almost as fast as they want, the power is definitely being metered, which is interesting.
I don't get how Positec manages to stay in business with how universally mismanaged their tool lines are.
I could totally see the Avid Power as something that just never leaves my small home garage where we mostly break down parts cars to support our racing habit. You don't need finesse but you often need a 36" wobble extension with an 18mm deep on it for those top bellhousing bolts (yes, both FWD and RWD this seems all to common). A single battery would not matter either as you have the daily driver impact right there you use for you personal car that uses the color you chose 22 years ago before it was lime green.
Ah yes, the bellhousing bolt assault weapon
A group of friends built a race car at a buddies house who had the space but not the tools. I had the opposite. I ended up buying a used Mac high torque off Marketplace to leave at his place since he had a DEWALT drill kit. If this had existed then I would have bought it.
@@tylersmith7054 Honest, the highly maligned Ryobi brushed 1/2" impacts still serve yoemans duty in builds, at the track and for Pick-n-Pull excursions. There are just those times where you need...more power. Still won't break loose a Buick 3800 harmonica balancer bolt I am sure but those top bellhousing bolts are likely worth $140 alone.
@@accordv6er Or for anyone that ever worked Volvos with the old red block engines...the upper starter bolt that access from behind the driveshaft carrier bearing 4' from the actual bolt.
I spent the day throwing up since 3am to the point of dehydration, and just got home after being discharged from the ER... Seeing a new TTC video in my feed after getting home is a much appreciated blessing. Especially on high torque impacts.
Damn, feel better man!
Damn I hope you feel better soon
Update?
@@E_Legal_Alien Oh. I'm all good now. Thanks for asking. Some really bad stomach bug was going around the area.
My favourite videos are the ones where you test cheap stuff.
Same! I bought the SeeSii mid touque after their review. The thing works amazing! When I told my dad it cost $55 he didn't believe me.
I like having a "cheapo" available to risk leaving in the truck/trailer.
No way I'm leaving the good MilDub in there where the battery alone is worth 3X what this whole kit cost! :D
@@robertdascoli949which seesii is $55? The compact 1/2" which I got was $60.
Absolutely
You should test more of Worx stuff
Thanks, been waiting for worx for a while. Now onto Masterforce!
Save big money at Menards ! Agreed with Masterforce reviews
I'd like to see how many beans the worx would make on a 20 second run. I know it's not a standard test but it seems like that one like a little more time to shine.
I had a dead trigger assy in my Milwaukee, and ended up finding a replacement (on Ali) advertised as being from a Worx.
Milwaukee would only sell the trigger with the entire control PCB - meaning the one part was as much as the whole tool.
That is that famous Milwaukee repairability.
@@riba2233 - and that is my famous tenacity for saying time-be-damned I'm FIXING this thing! :D. (which I did, and it works {worxs?} good as new now)
I'm trying to troubleshoot a 2767, do you have any good resources? Or did you just poke at it yourself ?
@@DrFiero great work, congrats!
@@jonathancorbett5917 most of those triggers are just running variable potentiometers, you could probably source a new one from mouser
Absolutely love this channel
You Should Test The 3017-20 Milwaukee Blower and the DCBL777B Blower
Thanks For All You Do Its Great!!
Thank yall for every video you have made to date
I'd like to see reliability tests, to see if something breaks or melts with repeated use.
Thx keep being Awesome TTC!
Love the videos. Always informative and yet funny with the comments. If you could, can you use more Hart tools. Thank You
Can you test a little lineup of these tiny, commonly like 12v, impact drivers? For wrenching on a bike I could see them being useful
I feel like you guys would make awesome firearms breakdown videos.
I would love to see some testing on the rigid exp line of batteries
I recently bought the Eworks 3/4 impact based on your testing and am VERY pleased with it. Nothing I've thrown at it stops it. Main bearing bolts on a Detroit Series 60 and lugs on a semi truck both came right off and for the price I wouldn't trade it for any high cost gun.
finally! Worx on the rig.
Love these videos. Big fan. I’m a mechanical engineering student and I have a suggestion for the channel in terms of setup. I think that it might be possible to quantify the wrist breaking score empirically.
It might be possible to attach an accelerometer to the impact wrench or possibly the tester’s hand with a strap. You can use the acceleration data to determine the force experienced at that point. I suspect it’s the rate of change of acceleration, jerk, that would match up best with your wrist breaking score. Since the jerk would be positive and negative, you could square the values across the board and take the area under the curve across the time of the test. It wouldn’t be an accurate measurement of force at the wrist, but would probably give a good impression of the differences between the tools.
Can we get a Torque Testes shirt? Maybe Torque Testees?
TTC makes me look forward to Fridays !
U guys should do the right angle impacts again and put the m18 adapter on the Milwaukee
Would love to see you guys put a more powerful brushless motor into the Worx just for fun. Also curious how the drill to impact adapter your guys were designing is going?
Great video! I always want to see how the inside looks like, keep up the teardown part in these videos👍👍
Keep testing mid/off brands tools, those are the Best!
I’ve been watching this channel since the start. But I really would like to see an untimed test on each one of the impacts tested to see what they may be capable of.
The battery going in backwards actually makes more sense!
when do you test that seesii? i remember u test just the smaller one that perform good.
TTC. LET'S GO 🏁
Very good, thank you!
Is that a future spoiler at 10:11? Cause it's not on the live spreadsheet right now
The Avid Power looks like good bang for the buck, but how reliable/durable is it on the long haul?
Also like to see cats new stuff used there hammer drill and was impressed they come so far so fast
Now imagine the Worx with a bigger, badder motor...hmm...could be the foundation for a new crazy impact monstrosity!
If u want that just get a yellow 961?
Now imagine if it was a completely different tool. That would be amazing!
Now imagine if the Worx came with a billion dollars in the box, and a lifetime supply of Doritos tacos from Taco Bell. That would be a new crazy impact monstrosity!
Hey uh
Is it possible to add cordless attachment capable string trimmer kombi units to a list somewhere?
Little to no info on power output or equivalence. Even on shaft connector type ...
Would love to see big3 + stihl at least, but then also some rando cheap stuff too for fun. It's expensive tho ...
Love ur stuff and the excel sheet. Please never stop ❤❤
I can't wait to join the Torque Testes
Have you tested the Seesii wh710??
When you going to test the new Hilti SIW 10-22?
Pretty impressive for Worx, I snagged a new Hercules ultra torque (1400ft model) shortly after the spring black Friday event this year. It was either $94 or $110 but either way a killer deal still with warranty for 5 years, especially since I already had the batteries & chargers. I wonder where that would fall in the chart at that price. For a weekend only use (more like 1x a month) I've been super happy with the Hercules offerings, thank you to this channel and the 1/4 driver review a few years back. Now have the driver, mid torque and high torque. wrenches.
I really think a "force per impact" score would be helpful to compare tools
especially something like the worx might have a high force for each impact which might be great for busting some tight nuts or even crankshaft bolts
Can you guys test all of the different e-work branded power tools? I am very interested to see if they have a solid assortment of quality and high-performing tools.
I’d love to see a review of some of the Klein power tools. Are they just rebadged dewalts or are they actually a different tool that just takes dewalt batteries.
Oh dang, forgot for a second it’s Friday
Same
Happy weekend everyone!!!
@@richardwang474 thanks
Hey just had a big brain thought, not related to this video but idk how far back you read comments.
They make adjustable box wrenches. If you cranked one of those down super tight on the nut do you think it would achieve more torque than a quality 6-point box wrench (or spline) before rounding the nut?
Could it be used instead of a spline to remove partially rounded nuts? What if you were to also cut serrations into the "jaws". The Craftsman ones that are most popular it seems have a knurled knob for adjustment, what if you modified it for a bit more leverage and really got some gripping force on that nut.
Love ya ttc have good weekend bro.
Can you put adjustable wrenches on your list to test?
Could you try a Maximum 40v 1/2 impact from Canadian tire ?
@TorqueTestChannel Could you set up a jig to see how much torque is gained if the impact if rigidly mounted compared to being held in the hand?
Could you test the new matco raptor impact
Please test the difference in power with an impact wrench with an extended anvil vs a normal anvil with an extension adaptor
So every time I'm on the SP Tools truck I see a 3/8" impact I've been debating getting just because of the size. It's the SP-7146EXS. Any chance you guys have seen it too?
Thanks
Does an impact wrench apply more maximum torque to a larger nut since the leverage length (points of the nut) are further from the center of the fastener? Can we test this?
Does the avid power share any battery platform??
It wouod be so cool if you guys tested the Klein high torque, it's compatible with dewalt batteriee so a lot of beans is possible
Test the skil ratchets!
Would you be able to do a video on grease guns? Project Farm did a video a few years ago but didn't have any cheap amazon brands. I was wondering if the cheap ones are worth it, I need to buy one for work soon or I'll look like Popeye from squeezing the pistol grip so often.
Thank you. My first purchase of impact. The Avid High torque is my choice. Can't beat that price.
Pray that it's reliable long term...
Are you gonna start hot rodding the Worx or is the battery limitation going to be a driving problem?
could you maybe do some south east asian brands on how they are compared to these US brands? Ingco is quickly becoming the tool brand in SEA and it would be nice to see actually how good they are
Those heavy hammers got me thinking...how long before someone finds a way to put lead shot in the rotating assembly to get a dead blow effect? Hiw do we think that would perform?
My only concern with all these impact wrenches is on the reliability and the warranty a few months down the road. Is the TTC planning on testing handtools in the future?
Still would like to see testing of E-draulics and M28 Milwaukee batteries.
2 surprises for sure! Avid Power showing some true Power and Worx going to Work. Thanks for sharing!
There´s a new 18v Bosch in town, (1600/2200nm) maybe you can try it out? I´m curious about that one. :)
Test the new Milwaukee vs dcf961
Just a heads up I'm sure you guys have noticed UA-cam doesn't play your full intro, pretty much cuts off the whole thing. Don't know if that's on purpose....
possibly the fastest i’ve clicked on a video in quite a while
I would never buy these off brands unless it was a one time contract job, maybe. Warranty and customer support is more important to me so I stick with Makita.
yah these tools arent for professionals, they’re for hobbyists
If thousands of people are buying impacts on Amazon every month, rather they buy ones that will get the job done, and nothing on an Amazon page will give you a real indication of that. So we like to include them
@MikeyMobes even as a hobby user, 200 bucks on a tool had better last me. I'm not sure I trust the durability of these over 10 years. First time one breaks in a repair to make sure I get to work on time in the morning is the last time I'd ever try and save a buck for lower qc
For $420 aud thats not bad. It is a bit steep for worx though, maybe even too close to the other brands which everyone already owns
Anything on the Ridgid 3/4
Please remember that hammer mass doesn’t TECHNICALLY matter. Moment of inertia is truly what makes the difference so a lighter hammer with its mass held further from the axis of rotation could overall hit harder. Mass measurements are probably a good proxy for MoI in most cases, but not always. Would be SWEET if you got a test rig to better explain what going on under the hood!
True, but among tools with a similar diameter head it's about mass and speed, speed being peak hammer speed which is a function of spring size and motor. If the tools were dramatically different in hammer diameter, that would be a larger piece of the puzzle. Like the DCF961
@@TorqueTestChannelsince we're talking about mass moments of inertia of differing hammer assemblies, why not normalize them all to radius of gyration? We'd have something to compare, the chart would add an extra column, and manufacturers would have another metric for marketing to exploit 🙂
I just can't justify paying over $150 for an impact, maybe if I was breaking loose extremely tight hardware daily but for my purposes I am fine with using a breaker bar in the rare case that my 150ftlb driver cant handle it. And as far as working on passenger vehicles 9 times out of 10 if it wont break loose with the 150ftlb driver its likely going to break off the fastener anyway and at least when breaking loose the fastener by hand I can have a feel for when the stud/bolt is going to snap. If I just went full beans with a 750ftlb driver I would probably spend most of my time drilling and tapping. I do like that one smart Milwaukee that allows you to set the torque at different specs. Maybe when the price of that one goes down or if Amazon comes out with a viable knockoff I will purchase one of those. Love the channel! Can't wait to buy some merch on the next drop.
Honda crank bolt begs to differ. Needs the big beans and won't break.

@@TorqueTestChannel Yes, I believe this is more powerful and the EU equivalent is 18v-450HC. There are other manufacturers currently which will be nice to be tested(there is this German harbor freight like brand called Parkside). Too bad you don't have access to those. Best channel out there!
Avid Power resembles the Bauer
The worx was still climbing fast.
from what I've seen in other reviews Worx tools have been quite underwhelming while not exactly cheap. This Impact Wrench seems redeeming, now Worx needs to fix the battery incompatibility as some owners won't do with a single 5Ah.
PS. Bosch just updated its 3/4" impact wrench with some interesting numbers. It would be nice to see how it stacks up against the big boys
I own five Worx tools and they're all winners as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure there are some also-rans (like their air pump), but that's why we do our homework, yes?
PLEASE test Parkside performance tools
They make big powerful drills and impacts and are extremely common in Europe
They also have 8AH 21700 batteries for 60€
they wont ship our orders over here due to batteries
@@TorqueTestChannel not even via someone else ? Like If I bought you an impact and send it over along with a battery adapter for like Milwaukee or dewalt or MAKITA batteries? I have a company and we make the adapters with low voltage protection and proper wiring unlike the Chinese ones, or even send you a gutted battery with no cells and just give you cell specs and you’d get cells locally?
Gotta hotrod that Worx with that big ole hammer
Nuts.
Think that's smart of works to put battery on backwards because Milwaukees batteries fall off in that direction when in use after heavy use and I think there on to something because front end is getting most of the vibrations due to socket begin on front
I find it interesting to hear people having trouble with Milwaukee batteries. Enough people talk about it that it must be a thing, but none of my (many) Milwaukees have ever had a battery issue. Worst thing I can say is I find the M12 bats hard to put in/take out sometimes. Do I just do something different with mine? Did I just "get a good one(s)"? idk
Moowaukee?
Interesting that even after milwaukee puts out a new latest and greatest 2967, that a lot of the bargain companies are still competing with the 2767. To me that'd be like if Kia in the early 2000's had specifically decided to make a car to go toe to toe with the ford escort after they started selling the focus.
clearly the worx only working with its own battery is worth it!
Torque “testis” 😂😂😂😂😂❤
