Good job, indeed! I'd like to do similar hikes and overnight camping, yours looks so fun! I have to say I am surprised there weren't more people around. It almost gives an apocalyptic vibe, like "The Last of Us" vibe 😆
Thanks for sharing this! I hadn’t considered that route before, but I like it! I didn’t realize you were an ultra-marathoner until I saw the 100k sticker on the car. Impressive! Thanks again! Happy trails!
Thank you for watching! I’d love to one day come out here with a couple people for a one night trail run of the entire Waterloo, start at portage and run 22 miles to Green, have someone stationed there with food & firewood, then finish up the remaining 14 plus the second day. Could be a fun challenge! Maybe come out and run the whole thing end to end in one go eventually, but I’m slowly working back up to ultra distances after a stress fracture, booo! I do have my sights on the Hennepin 100 once I get my legs back though!
@@jeremysart Trail run sounds fun! We ran the whole thing about a year and a half ago and had a great day doing it. The overnight is a cool idea. I hope you heal up quickly, and conquer that hundred miler! 💪
This bridge is located near the northeast corner of the trail - if you are hiking near the bench at I believe marker 10 where the Poto splits from the Crooked Lake Trail, head north and you'll come across the two bridges :-)
You can’t beat a good hiking adventure I have enjoyed hiking there many times
Cheers from Lower Michigan Adventures
3:55 it’s always important to stay hydrated on the trails 🍻
Indeed! There’s always room for a “step 2” 🍻

It is always delightfully surprising when the trails aren't busy on a beautiful day!
9:06 neat little bridge
