      Yea this one is awesome. I’m going to continue to watch on Etsy for me unique kits. It’s nice to support small businesses and the creativity is usually a tad bit higher than the generic large brand kits. Thanks for the view and comment!

    Etsy is a great source for unique survival kits. Definitely more flair than commercial kits! I would add foil, enough to shape around the container to make a cooking/water-boiling bowl. Some of the contents could be upgraded but this is a very affordable kit. Thx WS.

    That kit would be perfect if you could get a water bag in it. The bottle is fir meds. It should have a sticker on the outside saying, "Caution, do not open near a water source". Lol

      Haha 🤣 absolutely I launched that stuff. The only thing that fell was the tiny jar. Definitely be cautious of opening around holes crevices and bodies of water. It would probably be a cool thing to put this kit in a loksak and use that as the water bag.

      Thank you I thought that was a cool creative one to go over. 30 dollars shipped wasn’t bad plus helping a small business is always a good thing also!

    Another use of a small container is to preserve insects. My tic-kit came with five vials with the intention that you save the tic for identification by either doctor or veterinarian.

      That’s a cool use also! I normally don’t get them checked if I know they haven’t been embedded for more than 36 hours. I think the transmission period is after that it might be 24 but I thought the doctor told us 36. My one sister had Lyme’s disease and it took a toll on her for a bit.

      @@whitetailsurvival2430 Respect to your sister! I have had friends with Lyme's and it is not pleasant though that was back in the late '70s now (where does the time slip away). I'm sure treatments today are far superior now but even a decade back when my kids were still school aged every year they came home with tic warnings and instructions from their school. There is a transmission time frame, but if you remove them wrong you jump that clock (the "do not squeeze" instruction). The disease is mostly with one Genus of tic's but the little info paper in the kit does say to not rely on that.

    Those are spinner lures for fishing. If you have come up with a way to use spinners for snaring I would love a how to video on that. Up until the last couple videos of yours I have watched I have come across anyone who has used spinner lures for snares. I’d really appreciate that. Keep up the good work!

      These are actually something called a snare lock. I could see being able to use it like a spinner lure but the actual use to make a locking snare. You slightly bend them on both ends and wire one side solid and then run your wire through the other side and when the snare is set it will no longer be able to loosen up until you loosen it up by hand. Maybe I will make a video using one!

    A quart sized ziplock back so should be added. The water tabs won't be much use without some sort of container. And since the container isn't big enough to hold one, I'd put those zip ties to use and secure a mylar blanket to the bottom of the kit.

      On a side note, a bendy straw can be rolled up to a smaller diameter that a dime. It's not a necessary item, but it makes life much easier when trying to drink water out of a bag.

      Yea other than using a part of the kit like the blanket to make a water container the only other option is to find some trash if lucky! Thanks for the comment!

      Yes that’s a great idea it would be a lot easier to drink out of a straw then try to pour it 😁

    I assume the bottle could be used for personal medications, more water purification tablets or to store tiny items.

    • @whitetailsurvival2430
      @whitetailsurvival2430  2 місяці тому +2

      Yea I forgot to mention it but I’m guessing it’s actually for the left over water purification tablets. When you open that pack I don’t believe they are individually wrapped so that’s a good way to keep them dry. I do like the idea of adding some medication. A few ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or anti diarrhea wouldn’t hurt to go in there either. That’s a great idea!

      @@whitetailsurvival2430 Glad I could help. They're standard medications in my kits. I use Aleve because it lasts longer.
