I am ancestry of Choctaw as well. We have it on record. We have a record of land inherited by my great, great grandfather on Dawes rolls. Unfortunately it’s impossible to reclaim the land.

A lot of us, have family that had land allotments, some had "guardians" when it came to tribal matters and our ancestry can be found in census/rolls etc. So if you ask me, the one that do all the dna tests, just to feel a connection to the continent of Africa, are the ones, letting someone else tell them what THEY are.
