Such a beautiful, happy stack❤ I love seeing others' systems. I feel like there is a notebook for absolutely EVERYTHING...inks, pens, knitting, journaling, planning, journals for my family members, memory journals...oh, how they go on and on! Thanks for sharing ❤
What didn’t make it into the stack were my weaving journal and my Tunisian crochet journal and my knitting journal and …. But they’re on a lower shelf, tucked away until I need them. Because there’s only so much space on one’s desk!
The loving caresses for each and everyone of your journals.. The cover for the Hobonichi not only beautiful but so personal. All the journals and what you put in them so enabling... oops I mean INSPIRING. 🤭
I like your scarf turned journal cover! I would like to see more things you have woven. I have a similar scarf saving story: I knitted a scarf that was too short and turned it into a wine bottle bag. Thanks for the video! Have a great Thanksgiving!
I absolutely love your pen records book. Since we have similar ink swatch books, I need to glean your pen records book to be added to my system. I was astonished to find the gorgeous Hobonichi cover was not a Hobonichi design, but a Rebecca Logan exclusive. Nicely done! 👏🏻 Impressive weaving talent. I have to try and balance fountain my pen hobby with watercolor. One will take my extra time outside of of work. It’s hard to do both. Looking to integrate the two.
Thank you! It really is hard to balance two hobbies that can be all encompassing. When I’m weaving I have little time to write, as I often weave well into the night, my usual writing time. First world problems!
I think I might be coming close to your number of ink record books, mine have changed over time, and I still don't feel completely organised. I am using the small Clairfontaine notebook, to have a quick reference for pen & ink. When I get a new ink, I usually 😬 put it in my Nebula A5 notebook with the old 52 GSM Tomoe River. I like that I can see on the back if there is a strong underlying colour. I have also just recently started a plain Hobonichi A6 to play with dual shading inks. Then I have an A5 Hobonichi cousin for my currently inked where I give the pen and ink combination a score. I picked this up from Chris Saenz videos and fine it really helpful. I started with 2 Endless Recorders, the Green for Green, Brown, Orange and Yellow inks. The Blue for all Blue shades, Violet shades. A Midori just to see what the ink looks like on that paper. I find the Midori to toothy to write on for longer Journalling, for that I use a 365 page 68 GSM plain TR notebook. My first a5 notebook was from Taroko design the 52 GSM Tomoe River where I dedicated one page per ink. I started this in December 2019, I am on page 92 now but I had a lapse in recording, otherwise it would be full by now. I also do swatches on 270 GSM watercolour paper to see what the ink looks like on it, which is fascinating, for example Troublemaker Seaglass looks gorgeous, it has actually a gold sheen, but unfortunately it doesn't come out in the writing😕 I have done some of the Robert Oster inks on heavier paper using a kind of Nick Stewart technique, also fascinating 🤓 So I think it is official you are definitely not the only one enjoying playing with your inks in as many notebooks as possible 😂🤣🙋
I am in love with your fountain pen and ink documentation books. And all the others but those two take the cake. (Is that the way you say it? I'm starting to question myself now. LOL.)
Thank you. I started those two books during lockdown, so had lots of time to go through all of my pens and ink. The dining room table was a disaster zone for a few days, though.

Your swatch cat 😂 I love it!

Glad to have inspired you!
I like how your blue and brown covers look together too!
Just found your videos and hope you make more soon.
I thought the scarf was decorative paper. So cool!
Thank you! I have it stuck to freezer paper for stiffness. It's very textured, but you can't feel the texture because of the cover on cover.

Thank you. That’s a great idea, making a wine bottle bag!

That’s a nice selection of paper types for your playing with ink notebooks.

OMG. I love the scarf Hobonichi cover. You are such a talented artist!

Thanks! I love weaving, and it was good to find a different use for an unwearable scarf. Those Hobonichi cover-on-covers are handy.
I forgot to ask do you get ink samples as well and record those?
I have a small number of ink samples. They don’t go into the Ink Records or Swatches books, just bottled inks do. Otherwise it would be overwhelming.
