  • Time for a second night in tent for 2024. I go to the samt island Digerön on lake Öjaren, sleep on exactly the same spot. To do that, help me to relax more and embrace the nature easier.
I do a hike on the the island among a lot mosquitos.
On my way home I test the rope ferry!

I'm a bit in between. I love going to the same spots because you always see something new. However, I also feel the urge to get out and find a new place, but unfortunately, there are not many good areas near me or even within a couple of hour's drive.
Beautiful island buddy, so glad you had a walk and showed us around this time, and what a gorgeous morning that lake looked so peaceful. But when you where climbing on to the rope ferry I thought you where going to fall in lol
    But glad you didn't.

I understand, both is wonderful, to see new places but also paddle on the same place. So not so much water around your area. Theare are a lot of beautiful place around here, this is just a bike ride on 15-20 min and around 5 min with car. I think I can paddle on new places for years if I just take the car for a 1-2 hours ride.
Stronger than I look and vig like a cat😉 Maybe that have been good footages if I have felt in but rather stay dry. 🤗

Like you I don't need to travel to find beautiful places, there is so much to explore here, but Sweden could tempt me. Jealous of your weather, it's 12C and very windy in Ireland,. No paddling for me this week-end but I enjoyed your camping trip.

Thanks! Great to hear that you enjoy nature/water nearby, I understand that other places like Sweden tempt you, your videos also tempt me to want to travel.

Strange that we continue to have better weather than you. Colder and more wind but still near 20C every day.
Windy in Ireland, is it too windy for sailing? Hope you soon can paddle or go sailing!

Just realized on days like this one, with thunder, hail and heavy rain, how much watching a video like this with blue skies and peaceful paddling can be a pick-me-up.
As you know, I am all about exploring new places, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy returning to familiar spots. As I keep visiting new places I often end up spending a lot of time between familiar ones (like an evening paddle in the city earlier this week where I passed the "police boat spot" and told people the story of our experience there 😅). This gives even the familiar spots a sense of newness as it might have been months since the last time! But paddling the same spot two days in a row can also be nice - there's always something new to see or experience. Even so, give me a new city or country to paddle in and I'll usually be ready to go 😎
Thanks for showing me the wooden ferry on lake Öjaren when I visited - fun to see it in action 😎 Great video!

Oh, so you've had boring weather, here it's been a break all day, a little cloud that then turned into sun. Glad I could cheer you up. Yes you are more into traveling than me and I like the same places, knowing everything makes me feel safe and can relax and enjoy. Great that you can enjoy both new and familiar places! Next time you visit me, we can take time to play on the rope ferry!😊

@@danerik.westerlind Sounds like a fun project. 🙂Yes, I've always been a fan of travel, although, sadly, I spent so many years not being a paddler and traveling places without a kayak! So many awesome paddles could have been had if I had had a lightweight kayak with me in many places around the world... but they're there for the next visit, I guess 🙂

I guess that´s a good combo, both enjoy new and old spots as you do!🙌

Odnośnie powrotów w te same miejsca: tak, lubię wracać w te same miejsca jeśli zrobiły one na mnie dobre wrażenie, wiążą się z jakimiś dobrymi wspomnieniami. W innym wypadku szukam nowych.

Hi Dan-Erik, Thank you for sharing your latest adventure. Everything seemed perfect - except for the mozzies. The rope ferry is genius so thank you for including it in your video. Is it always so deserted? We never see another soul on the island or out on the water. Not even the "litter-bug". Perhaps you edit them out.
It is 5 degrees C this morning in Sydney and the expected forecast is maximum 18. We only have an "inverter" on one wall that blows out warm air into one room of our house. Even my cats are miserable. It is early Winter. The sun sets at 5.00pm and rises at 7.00am. In the middle of Summer the sun rises around 5.30am and sets at 8.00pm. And of course it gets very hot during the day in Summer.

Thanks for watching and your comment!😍 Yes, I would say that except summer and weekends it´s always like this, deserted. But it happens that I see someone when I paddle but not so often, maybe I should film so you see them. More people on the ice in winter. Normally people go tp places where they can be close to parking. I don´t paddle in these spots near land. Golf and mountainbike is big, but that are more in Högbo and not at the lake. Next vlog, I think I can show how it can look in Högbo, did a bike ride and film, will come inte next vlog. You have the same degrees as we have and we have summer and are happy because it´s warm😱 You have longer days than us in the winter and shorter days in the summer than we have.🤗
