Great video Trevor. 👍😎A kit full of options👍 Lots of handy tips 👍Love the carpet and thanks for giving me a good earworm. 👍😎Thanks for showing and best wishes from jolly old England 👍😎Pete 🤓
Thanks!! - I hope it won't take me too long to get to make "Part 2" with the chassis and body. I hope everyone will like my finished model when that day comes.
Excellent. That carpet is a ton of fun. Killer. I've been thinking of picking this kit up after seeing some build ups on it. Nice work on this one so far.
Nice! A customer gave me an earlier edition kit, but it is a build-up and they only thing really different about it is the hub caps. However, he also gave me the instruction sheet which includes the great customizing ideas from George Barris, so that was a win!
Thanks for video, BIG HELP, Thanks! Question for ya, on the Custom Engine does distributor go in front, like the Stock engine distributor or in the Back of engine on The Custom version? This version kit is Only one w/painting instructions and Sprue part #'s. I'm currently doing the 49 Ford kit version #601, the 2008 updated one Black Ford on box art.
Glad you found the video helpful. The engine is a 1949 Cadillac V8 with a magneto for ignition which is located on the back of the engine block. The item on the front of the engine on the timing cover is the oil filler tube.
Glad you liked the video! The number for Testor's Grapefruit is 1196. I wonder if this engine is the engine in the 1949 Ford in the old Thunder Road movie? I'll have to watch that again sometime.

That's definitely one of your best reviews with tons of background information, ideas and inspiration!
Glad it was helpful! - and this is only the first part. I still have to finish body and undercarriage.
Love the carpet. Clever and unique.
Thank you! It was a bit tricky in spots, but I managed to pull it off!

Good build/review of the Ford Shoebox. I'd like to take a crack at this kit, a custom ride sounds fun!
Go for it!
I still have to finish this build/review...but I needed a video at the time and i wanted to share my progress.

@@MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage yeah, looking forward to it.
I still have the original 1966 issue box and the model that I built from that kit back in 1969-1970.

What? Trevor is building? Super!!
I was trying a new video format with this one. If i had more time, I would have finished the kit in this video.
I'm a new Sub on your channel 👍
