Pink Quill Nymph, Holsinger's Fly Shop, Episode 506

This weeks video, the Pink Quill Nymph, is one of my creations which features some new products we just started carrying in the shop. After tying at the International Fly Tying Symposium I happened to come across the guys from Moonlit Fly Fishing. At the shop we have been having problems keeping our tungsten beads in stock and have been looking for an alternative supplier for beads. Moonlit carries some really nice quality beads so we decided to start carrying them in the shop. I really think you will like these beads.
This pattern is one that I came up with and tried it out last week between Christmas and New Years and had good success with it. It's a great wintertime pattern which will catch the fishes attention. I went a little oversized on the bead here so don't be afraid to downsize the bead. Just make sure to minimize your wraps and keep it thin.

Yeah I'm looking forward to April with this fly when the stream is loaded with stockies. I caught both stocked and wild browns on it last Friday.
