Nelson De Castro is sick!! Dimitri Patelis also has a fantastic style. I love how he does symbiotes or any characters with wings, claws...anything with edges that can be sharp he kills!! 1995 is my favourite MM set by far because of the variety for each character. And then Scanlan, whose Venom from this set I just posted on my IG yesterday, has some unreal works in this set. 🤟🤟🤟
Each artist did a version of the 38 base characters. The 4th versions were in the inserts. 22 canvas cards, 8 holo flash and 8 characters on the 2 Mirage cards.
Cool. I didn't event know about the 1995 and '96 Marvel Masterpiece series until I was an adult. I remember that KB, my local comic shop, and Play World (an NYC toy store) stopped carrying a lot of Marvel cards by 1996.
I'm pissed for selling my cards back then and had a lot of holograms and had a lot of wolverine versus this person or that person and I wish everyday I could get them back !
Honestly just like the Jim Lee X-Men set and the 2nd Jusko set all of these collections deserve their own books. Not only that I don't understand why nobody has decided to make framed posters of these sets. That way you don't have to ruin your own set in order to make one yourself LOL. Any one of those companies that make the metal posters would be awesome at it.
I traded my Nintendo switch for bunch of cards- magic, pokemon, etc, you name it got at least 1 of it. ** but in that bunch of cards was a book, filled with OLD OLD marvel cards and legit the SICKEST wolverine and all types of art work I ever seen TO THIS DAY! (debating taking one of the wolverines and getting a tat of it)

One of my fav sets. Nelson did art on this if I recall.
So all 4 artists did a version of each character. In the base set you are seeing 3 side by side and the 4th was one of the chase cards.

I do remember those. I think that’s the 95 Fleer Ultra. I specifically remember his sig on some of the chromium chase cards.
