    What a wonderful teacher you are. I thoroughly enjoyed watching and I’m very excited to start mine later this evening. I’m going to be making numerous and then joining together to make a table runner for my dining table. Excellent camerawork, lighting and focus and I found your voice comforting and I found it felt like a friend was teaching me. Honestly, I really like this video. Thank you and much love from England. xxx

      Thank you for your very kind comments! I'm so happy you found your way here and I hope you find more creative inspiration. I love it when people take ideas from here and create something of their own. I had one lady make a beautiful dress using a simple granny square motif...it was amazing! Have fun 👍🙌💖

    Can't wait to try this so good .but question I'm only new to crochet .but why do you have to keep turning each row
    I made a blanket just kept going around in rounds

    • @createandcrochetwithpatricia

      It is totally an option, but turning your works has a few benefits. The most important one is that if you are working on a large project like a blanket, going in the same direction can cause the fabric to go wonky because the tension keeps going in the same way. If you turn the work, then you balance the tension with each round. The second benefit (which can be subjective) is that turning your work creates a funky pattern. Thirdly, if you are not changing the yarn color for each round, turning the work with a granny square stitch creates a nicer round...you don't have to slip stitch over to the next ch1 space. Enjoy!

      I won't be creating any new content for awhile due to health issues, but you can have foreign videos translated on YT. Go to "CC" beside the gear icon and click on that. It should automatically add captions in English. If not, you can choose what language you want. The translations are not always perfect, but between the video to see and reading the translation, you should be able to figure it out. Best of luck!

    it was a super idea to start with the darkest color... I really like the tutorial but for People with my eyesight starting with the darkest color is like beginning in darkness.. thank you anyway for your effort

    I've made a bunch of round sunflowers like coaster shapes . Now I want to put them together like a blanket, how do I do that?

    • @createandcrochetwithpatricia
      @createandcrochetwithpatricia  2 роки тому

      I don't have any tutorials on how to join round shapes together. Basically, you need to make the them into a square shape. There should be someone teaching how to do that, but sorry I can't help you :)

    hi! how would i increase when i need to exactly? i did 1-8 and then 4-8 an additional two more times and my edges are super ruffled and curled up. thanks!

    • @createandcrochetwithpatricia
      @createandcrochetwithpatricia  2 роки тому +1

      I don't have the pattern for a larger motif, so I can't say exactly what the stitch pattern would be for each round. If the motif has become ruffled, that means you are increasing too much. I would follow the pattern to round 9 as directed and then you'll have to experiment with each additional round after that. What you are looking for is a gentle increase. You may actually repeat a round without doing any increases at all. If there aren't' enough stitches, the motif will begin to curl, if there are too many, it will ruffle. Hope that helps!

    As many times as I try this it curls.

      It's possible that your crochet tension is a bit tight, so you can check out my video here on proper crochet tension. ua-cam.com/video/PxAVTN_T3mk/v-deo.html
      Another way to remedy this is...with the first round that begins to curl, add an extra chain in the chain space or an extra stich in one or every other cluster. Repeat this in any round that is curling. You just need more stitches to get around the circle for it to lay flat. As the circle gets larger, less increase is required.
