      Apparently there are some new questions from 1st December. Haven't done any tests yet this month, so not really sure. From what I can gather it's mainly digital tachos that they've added. It may be worth finding out what you can online about them.
      All the best.

    • @TheStevoth
      @TheStevoth 7 років тому +1

      Hi again. Thanks for the advice. I passed so i'm happy. There were no questions on the digi tacho specifically but apparently some questions have been removed from the test so things have changed a bit. I got a question about checking for drugs in the lights so I had to turn headlights on and look for shadows in the front and rear light clusters. That's the only thing that wasn't on the training. I needed a lot of prompting because the structure of the questions and the repetition confused me a bit but the examiner was ok to prompt me. I knew the answers as I check vehicles regularly and most of it is too obvious if you know what i mean. All went well. I think training schools in general need to give more time to students one to one to make sure that they have some proper practise demonstrating the checks, specifically as we have all payed a lot of money for this. That's the only gripe. Thanks for the videos. They cover a lot of stuff and each one gives a different perspective on the cpc test. Thanks again.

      +kingtyson999 hi mate. In some ways it's the easiest of the test. I did a hours training before hand with my instructor and then did the test. You are aloud a check list to do your daily check.
      The biggest piece of advice I can give is don't just tell the examiner what you would do, you need to show him/her by going through the actions. And don't just check one side of the vehicle!
      Relax mate I had a grumpy examiner and it still was not bad at all.
      Good luck Kirbs 👍🏻

    Is it still accurate that once you pass you are covered to drive for the first 5 years commercially?

    Thank you Ben Shaw for your reply. I am not at a pc all the time, so sorry I missed your reply. I been told I just need a cpc no test for a 7 half tonne van. I am getting my digicard as well. Please tell me where your training centre is and how much for a cpc refresher no test?

    Getting my test soon but not had any lessons on driving yet, I'm worried that I might not know exactly where the battery isolator switch etc will be as I won't be familiar with the vehicle? Should I be worried? The training company I'm using said most people do it this way?

    • @benshawtrainingltd5190
      @benshawtrainingltd5190  8 років тому

      Hi Bryn, the training provider should at least familiarise you with the vehicle, showing you where everything is. Ben.

    This video is very helpful, only one comment, the audio keeps going in and out, so sometimes it's hard to hear what is being said. but otherwise, very good :D

      Fraser Kirk thanks for your comment. We have a new video now that is more up to date and the sound is much clearer. The new video is only for our clients though, but we’re happy to keep this old for for everyone else to use. 😊

    I didn't have to take Module 4. It seems valuable to new drivers, I was well informed by your video, much as the other introductory Driver CPC has for beginners. But wouldn't you agree the Repeat DCPC of 35hrs is an absolute fraud?

      Thanks for you're input. As for the question about the Periodic Training, I'm sorry to say I've wasted enough of my life debating this subject and can only advise that you bring it up with your local MP. :-)

    I couldn't hear what you were actually saying when you were talking about where to place a half load. When you walked down to the back of the vehicle you become inaudible. this is one area that I'm not quite sure of, I would appreciate a clearer explanation of this if it is possible. I understand that it has got to be roughly about a meter from the back axle, is this what you were saying whilst you were near the back axle? Great video btw.

    I passed my car test before 97 so have C1.everywhere it says I need to take the 35 hours before 2014 instead of part 2 and 4
    But its 2017 I'm getting different opinions on this
    I can't even book the case studies the DVLA won't let me.
    One driving school has said they can get it for me.
    Can you tell me the right route to get this CPC.
    Thanks

    • @benshawtrainingltd5190
      @benshawtrainingltd5190  7 років тому

      Felix Herald you can do either route. They changed it about 18 months ago, but the DVSA system still doesn't work for drivers with 'acquired rights' to do the Module 2 & Module 4 route. Take a look on our Driver CPC web page and see if it makes sense to you. All the best, Ben.
