Tbh, its easier to pass in English than native language. I think my native Czech is just so much harder than English that I would probably score better in English with 3 years of learning than native
I agree, the girl did an excellent job for the purpose of the test. Nobody in a real natural context gives these answers not only in terms of fluency but also of content.
There is lot to learn about languages apart from english. I see how native english speaker travel , study , and even do businesses even without giing such language exams of the country they are flying to.

Any advice on how to deal with a topic you hardly know anything about yet don't want to give just one sentence as an answer? I could talk hours about the last computer game I played but would be clueless if asked to describe a building or if I like going to a art gallery or so... She did brilliantly even though she might be a COD consle peasent 😂 - greetings from germany!
I'm not really into playing video games.. My question here is, if I get questions for which I will not be able to answer from my personal experience, what should be the strategy to answer such questions
It doesn't matter if ur answer is based on your experience or not,you should just come up with a complete answer and add different details to ur answer. They don't really care if it's real or not
That's because these tests, from my point of view, don't show your actual level of English. I'm pretty sure she was memorizing a wide range of structures and idioms just to pass the exam, that's fair enough, but I think English level should be assessed in other ways. Most speaking texts are based on being creative and making up fake stories about yourself, your hobbies and your family, that's not real! I am not even capable of inventing a story like that about Call of Duty in my mother tongue (Spanish) and I am native, so my grade should be lower.
I played the video, watched a few parts. The part where video games are discussed and then follow-up questions are asked about the topic either looks scripted or that all the answers have been pre-memorized. There is no feeling of live communication when a person thinks about what he is saying even for a fraction of a second. This is normal for a basic science exam where you usually don't have answer options and you really just have to memorize the formula or the answer to what is a function, synapse or integral. But when it's a question about abstract ethical topics like how violence in video games affects teenagers, you don't think about those topics every day, so any answer like that involves some reasoning. The answer to this question implies a certain amount of thoughtfulness, when people gesticulate smoothly and thoughtfully look somewhere into the distance, as if through their interlocutor. It seems that this is the problem with the exam, that it is too tied to a very specific framework, due to the fact that it checks the level of preparation for a specific exam format, not so much your language knowledge and skills. That's the impression I got.
4:00. Please explain to me according to what English grammar rule is constructed the following sentence: "I've been skiing SINCE many years and I feel it would be an exciting change." 🤷
Tbh, i've talked to native english speakers countless times and most of them do not speak like this in any situation. And then, i also do my research by watching other videos, which feature candidates with a 9 band, and while a majority of them use simple language and sometimes even really plain language (as they repeat the same structure or content and do not fully develop their answers), they still score a perfect 9 for this test. Even the videos of native English speakers still cannot speak like her. I'm genuinely confused....
Thank you very much for uploading this video, today is my speaking so it was very very helpful to encourage me and to be confident ❣️ thank you very very much sir💌
Would it be better to lie just to have something to say? Because if I were to answer these questions honestly I'd go like: yeah, nah, maybe, I don't travel and I don't have any hobbies other than sitting in my basement and playing video games.

I sincerely ask this question...what if I know nothing about game, video or digital or computer or whatever games? How can I pass the test? I already have limited vocabulary and I have zero interest in games. So, it's gonna be a big deal for me. Besides, the exam fee is so expensive.😞
I guess being honest helps. Just tell them that you know nothing about games as you dont play them and they might switch topics and ask something else. I heard this from other teachers. It's all about having a natural conversation like you would with any other person. You don't know something and lack some insights? you either switch topics or make it clear that you don't have much to offer and they would get you.
So is German her first language? She has an accent in English. I think native speakers might not do so well unless they know what they are looking for and prepare ahead of time.
