A master of both classical and jazz trumpet playing, Terell has toured and recorded with a who's who of jazz including McCoy Tyner, Benny Golson, Bobby Watson, Cedar Walton, Shirley Scott, Jimmy Heath, Mulgrew Miller and Matt Wilson. He has released 8 CDs as a solo artist and has been a member of the venerable Vanguard Jazz Orchestra for the past decade. He is currently Professor of Jazz Studies at Temple University and is the managing & artistic director of the Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia.
