    Blake's 3rd leg at the 2012 London 4x100 final can be described at the best 4x100 leg any human has ever run. He is probably my favorite sprinter of all time.

    Prediction: I say Bolt would still be the king of the 100m and then break his 200m wr eventually. Blake was a true beast back in the day and based on his improvement with his form and technique included, I would say he might've maxed out at 9.62 and 19.12. Bolt didn't really live up to his maximum potential because I say he was capable of 9.48-9.52 in his best days and sub 19 as well. After 2012 it could've been the greatest rivalry of all time in sprinting, but Bolt I notice, does the best when it matters, compared to Blake so I would say Bolt would get Blake each time just because pressure y'know. Bolt thrives up competition too that's another thing to add like if Tyson Gay is in the best shape of his life, Bolt would be a meter and a half ahead. If Gatlin is performing the best he ever did in his lifetime, Bolt would match his fitness and do better under pressure. If Blake goes to potential world record form, Bolt would break the wrs. Both sprinters very talented.

      Blake ran 9.69 with negative wind and he had been fighting the flu that day. Considering that with +2.0 wind and Best of Blake he could've run sub 9.6 no doubt . The same is for 200m

    • @Pumpxkin
      @Pumpxkin 2 роки тому +7

      @@kemybolt Considering wind and altitude, it would've been 9.59-9.60 with the maximum tailwind. I still think Bolt could've won everything or atleast close to that because he is a true darkhorse and the man of the hour. I think maybe in events that don't have pressure Blake could probably dominate, but when it matters Bolt would step in.

      His hamstring injury is the most severe injury Simone can get from a hamstring. He didn’t pull his hamstring, his hamstring literally came off the bone.

    Harmstrings can easily get injured without efficent streching and warmup. Once they injured their recover is very slow,and often comes back a sharp pain.

    We can say the speed's not there and I understand what you mean by that because obviously he isn't near 2012 peak form but the man is constantly qualifying for international championships. That means something. That's still greatness. There are guys who aint been hurt who cant attain that level of consistency

  • @Xfactories

    Blake went under 10sec 5 times last year recording the 2nd fastest time (9.85) behind only Fred Kerley (9.76).
    This was an improvement on breaking 10 only twice in 2021.
    He's not finished yet

      Bromell ran 9.81 last year. But, the problem with Blake now is that he cannot produce it again. It wasn't 2nd fastest time.

    Blake and bolt both were so different from the body types of most sprinters. Bolt was built like a SF in the NBA and Blake was built like a power back in the NFL lol they were incredible to watch, the 100 and 200 haven't been the same since they were running it

    Respect 💯 for Yohan!! He gave us his all. Amazing individually. Relays are where we saw the real BEAST. From Bogue Hill to St Jago to Racers. One of very few to transition successfully from school amateur to professional athlete. Lub im!! (Only Jamaicans will understand that last part 😏)

    Performance Lab of California analyzed a video of Yohan a couple years ago. They detected something wrong with the way his right leg moved. I might not remember it right, but I think it was rotating unnecessarily to his outside. He was just never the same runner after that devastating injury. Sprinters have this sword of Damocles over them all the time. Gay, Powell, even Bolt have been cursed. Luckily, most can make it back, especially if they manage to be patient [sprinters are not known to be patient.] Still, I object to the word 'sad'. I always liked the way Blake presented himself in interviews. I was always watching him as much as his famous training partner since I noticed him always so close early in his career in Diamond League meets. It became so easy to miss the rest of the field after Usain Bolt became famous. I think Yohan would have dethroned Usain by '16, giving Gatlin a new frustrating source of silver and bronze medals; though of course we'll never know, and Usain would have blessed him for it. Jamaican camaraderie is beautiful to watch . . I think Yohan's first love was . . . cricket?!
