I don't know why people are so harsh on Yohan ..he still run below 10 seconds .. longitvity in athletics is very rare ..we should give credit to him because of still sprinting plus he is 2 nd fastest of all time
Yohan is still a beast. He came back from a career ending injury and still can run sub 10. that takes insane work which is why Usain bolt nicknamed him the beast.
If Usain Bolt wasn’t around. Yohan Blake would have the world record in the 100 and 200. He’s a world champion, and one of the only men to beat Usain during his prime in a meet of importance in the JA championships. Multiple relay golds, along with Olympic medals and the man to push Bolt to get back into prime form as a legit challenge in his prime. How Yohan Blake is viewed as anything but one of the greatest sprinters ever is a mystery. His body broke down early, which happens to many who run fast at young ages. Elite sprinters in their 30s is more normal now, but certainly not common in the history of elite sprinting and fast twitch sports.
To what you said about Yohan beating bolt in his prime, he was not in his prime, he was very out of shape. Look up the video titled "Blake challenges Bolt in 2012 | I AM BOLT"
The problem is not Yohan. The problem is Jamaica and Jamaicans. On one hand Jamaica has not produced a competitive enough next generation, so Yohan keeps running. On the other hand , Jamaicans are expecting an equally good next generation when the previous generation had 3 of the all time 5 fastest men. Leave this man alone. He can do what ever he wants and run in any leagues making money. He has already made Jamaica proud.
9:55 this has been one of the most iconic line ups in track and field history. All these men are either gold silver or bronze medalist with the top 10 fastest times in history. It all came down to who wanted the good more or who had the calmer nerves.
@@islandgirlruby2750 his the second fastest but now one fears him anymore , his time on the spotlight is gone , he won't be able to do what he did ever again
In my favourite and home country kenya; I ran about 10.28secs with another kisii guy Oseko plus Abamba Utawala; but it was rendered "SHELVED", He stole my ALIAS; my name was the beast on 2009 June 18Th playing engineers(COETEC) Trophy
Yh coz as per now u have oy talked abt the top3 fastest sprinters talk abt the 8th fastest Man... The fastest man in africa...... Please don't forget to..... Mention the referral point
No...he did put on some muscle mass but he also wasnt small at the 2012 Olympics where he got 2 silvers behind Bolt....its that hamstring tear that really derailed him ..his running pattern/turnover and power output just not the same since that...u can literally see the funkiness of the leg when he is running now
I'm 46 years when I was before an like 25 I ran 3 electricicty posts dats supposed to be more Dan 150 feet but in Belize they will never have sponsor group,an I ran it in 9 seconds wit out a shoes and I'm a Spanish desendat, here and u guy will never come to Belize

They forget the injuries he suffered. He still remains one of the best athletes in the history of sports.

One of my favorite runners, gave me lots of laughs….definitely one of the best!

hes 200m 19 .26was faster than bolts if you take away the reaction time. he would’ve broke the world record if he didn’t react like my granddaddy

Rise and Fall? What a joke. Blake is the second fatest in history ever!!
Very true! He is indeed the second fatest behind Usain Bulk lol. In all seriousness though, Yohan is a legendary athlete imo
But he has fallen , he can't run that fast anymore

I know this is a reupload, but i know Yohan isn't done yet
Disappointed that the 9.85 he ran this year at the Jamaican trials was left out.
This will be one of my fav video ever
The music in this video is gorgeous. ❤
Can u do Jim Hines?

Yes thats what happened.

Yohan was my favorite sprinter, but he's become a bodybuilder and thus ruined his once promising career...🤔
When he became bodybuilder he is at backfoot due to his 2014 injury

And then there was that awful string of Injuries.....
He just got old
Well he suffered a massive hamstring injury in 2014 for the second time. Maybe 2015/6 Blake would've ran another sub9.7 or more than just one…
Feel e fi the dog yf
That’s a lie he ran 9.85 at the Jamaican trials
Its a video that predates that run.

He's so washed up now!
Washed up? I wouldn't really say that.
@Kagel I bet you are more washed up than Yohan, we always see others and not ourselves.
