    Wild Republic Canvas Camping Shower: amzn.to/42Slcfb
    Large Funnel with 4 Spouts: amzn.to/3LVoBTE
    Clear Shower Liners, 2 PK: amzn.to/3M3E3Nu
    Adjustable Shower Curtain Rods, Set of 2: amzn.to/43a6XCP
    Portable Camp Shower with 2 USB Batteries: amzn.to/3W23bsH
    Foldable Indoor/Outdoor Dog Pool 32*8 inches: amzn.to/3MnBebn
    Powerful Retrieving & Holding Magnet Mount: amzn.to/3BnJPET
    *If using the magnet mount to replicate this no-build, no holes, shower setup, you will need to either have someone bend the retrieving hook with a vice bender, or find a suitable threaded hook. Lowes & Home Depot are national chains that may be able to assist you with finding a suitable threaded hook, if you don't have someone to bend the metal with a vice bender!

    When emptying the water from your shower basin, you can connect a hose from the drain hole, & drain the water into the 3-gallon water container, as an alternative to lifting the basin and pouring into the funnel!

    Good idea with the funnel! I don't have tubing that fits the dog bath to drain it so seeing how easily you pour out the water really solves that! Thanks.

    So, I just had a lightbulb moment, y’all! 💡 If you don’t have the vice bender to bend the hook from the magnet… you could simply use a heavy duty carabiner to hang the rain canvas shower from! Easy peezy!🙌🏽

    • @lakikaia
      @lakikaia  Рік тому +1

      Thanks so much, Shelita!💛 And welcome to my channel!
      With intermittently stopping the flow rate of shower water, one can take a hot shower for more than five minutes. The hole leading from the canvas bag to the brass shower head is small, so it allows for a long shower at a continuous flow as well (although I’ve not timed this method). I most I’ve put in the canvas bag is two gallons of water, which is sufficient for my shower needs. The traditional shower setup has a flow rate of one gallon per minute with a continuous flow, and longer with the intermittent method.
      Thanks so much for watching my videos, & commenting!✨

    Confused why you'd need the Wild Republic hanging bag when you're already using a USB-powered portable shower pump. You could just use a large bucket, even up to 5 gallons, put it on the floor of the dog pool, and put the shower pump into the bucket directly, without having to hang up any bag of water from the ceiling of your van. The shower head itself is the only part of pump mechanism that needs to be hung up, which you showed in your video (hung up like a regular shower head). Thus, the hanging shower bag is an extra thing not needed. Also, the reviews of that bag are mixed, with many complaints of the bag or the hardware leaking water. A sturdy bucket means no leaks and a fraction of the cost.

    • @lakikaia
      @lakikaia  8 місяців тому +2

      I wanted an option that didn’t require any charging. 100% gravity fed. The Wild Republic met this criteria. I too read similar reviews, but opted to give it chance. I’m happy to say that I’ve never experienced any issues with it leaking.

  • @scottmiller2576
    @scottmiller2576 19 днів тому

    A couple of things 1 i heard that the walls of the dog bath are fairly flimsy and prone to sag and you have to thoroughly , thoroughly dry out the bath as if you put it back in storage and are not using it for while you will get a nasty surprise when you take it out again as mould would have set in

    • @lakikaia
      @lakikaia  18 днів тому

      The sides aren’t terribly flimsy. Most wouldn’t be leaning on the sides of the bath, so that’s not a big concern. In regards to drying it out thoroughly, it’s a quick and simple process that one would need to do in any van shower concept. In regards to potential mold, it’s nothing a little bleach won’t fix (of course spraying it & allowing for proper dwell time in an outdoor or other ventilated space).

    As a teen currently saving up for a van, do you have a recommendation on a van that I should look into? Also love the no build design! I want to do this as well :)

    • @lakikaia
      @lakikaia  Рік тому

      That’s awesome!✨ Congrats! When I began the search for a van, I had a set budget in mind. I also chose not to compromise on any of my pre-planned needs of my purchase.
      My van was used and had relatively low mileage, had all of its maintenance records up to date (oil changes, alignments, etc.), and was from a reputable seller. It had a clean title, and was never involved in any major accidents (verified by Car Fax). After having it inspected by a professional mechanic, and test driving it, I decided this van was for me!
      The most important steps involve vetting whatever vehicle you’re interested in purchasing to ensure you are driving away in a quality vehicle that won’t give you trouble, and won’t put you into debt (or too much debt, if you’re financing). Pay attention to interest rates too, and negotiate. Be willing to walk away if the deal doesn’t meet your pre-determined needs!
      Lastly, I would recommend a smaller van such as the Ford Transit Connect, or a minivan, due to their fuel economy, and being to able park anywhere a car can (stealthy). Also, by choosing a FTC, or minivan, you’ll save on mechanic bills, as the parts are pretty standard, and relatively available.
      All the best to you on your search! Super exciting! Feel free to circle back should you have any additional questions!✨

    • @kayaissimo
      @kayaissimo Рік тому

      @@lakikaia thanks for the advice! I want to be a “city lifer” in a van, so stealth is a priority.
      Is there anything I should know about keeping myself safe at night?
      Also how to you get water if your not at a campsite?
      Thanks :)

    That's neat. How long before it runs out of water, if you don't turn it off while showering?

    • @lakikaia
      @lakikaia  Рік тому +3

      Great question!✨ The hole that dispenses water from the canvas bag through the shower head is quite small. It produces a strong yet steady flow; therefore, the water lasts a decent amount of time. I; however, wouldn’t recommend a continuous shower; rather, I turn the water on before lathering up, turn it off, lather up, turn it back on, and so on & so forth. This makes for a more thorough, and water saving shower!🚿🙌🏽 Same concept with the traditional shower head setup. The traditional setup flows at a rate of 1 gallon per minute on a continuous flow. I’ve not tested the time on the canvas bag shower alone though. Thanks for watching!🙏🏽
