Meta Character theory: Megumi being submerged in Sukuna’s soul is the literal perfect inspiration for megumi to complete his domain. His arc (at least in a traditional manga, Gege is not that) would presumably round out with him getting freed from Sukuna and pulling off a complete Chimera Shadow Garden. 1:42:16, maybe it was a translation error, but Choso said that Yuji can't use convergence yet. My guess is that the armsleeves help with that, as he was able to send out Piercing Blood, which you need convergence for.

I think Sukuna is hiding something with his black flash amps, either healing his brain (incase the transformation didn’t) or building up enough energy for domain expansion. I think even during the maki fight he had enough to heal at a slow rate (he didn’t tell her he can’t heal his heart it was more that he doesn’t feel a need to) he’s just choosing to save up for something else
transformation confirmed didn’t heal his brain & he was stated to have as much CE as yuta so he should’ve been able use his DE if it was healed. he probably is hiding something w his amps though
