THE 7.3l Powerstroke V8!
My absolute favorite V8 if I'm honest.
This torque powerhouse has created one of the finest sounds in the V8 lineup.
Thank you Ford for that great sound.
Yes yes I know what the chevy fans will say and also the Detroit fans and Cummins fans :-)
But for me the power stroke sound is simply unbeatable ;-)
That's why this sound is extended to 10 hours.
My imagination runs wild with this sound... lol
maybe write in the comments what kind of pictures you have in your head when you go to sleep with a sound like that...

The first fire department I ran on as a volunteer firefighter. Had two medics with this motor in it. E350's if I remember correctly. Brings back some memories for me.
Thank you for sharing this great memory with us....my son is also with the fire brigade here in our city and my first job was rescue service until I had to retire for health reasons...that's why I'm particularly happy to read something like this...thank you you for it :-)

Sleep all night to it the hop in a 89 f250 7.3 and try not to continue sleeping lol
I normally have the cat c15 idle for Sleep because it idles a bit smoother without the extra lifters chatter but i guess i am used to it and do enjoy the sound of a 7.3 so I'll have a go.

*lol* That's absolutely true...I know it exactly like that....I had an old 99 E150....driving it to the sea at night...and sitting behind the steering wheel at 50mph like in a living room chair... really exhausting to stay awake i say *lol*
