Sherri, your stitching is perfection.✂️🪡🧵
I've had such a success with this zipper bag and wanted to say a big thank you for your clear and precise instructions as at the grand old age of 80 I've successfully put a zip in. Yippee.
OMG Thank you for sharing this little bag. My daughter is autistic she play with these pet shop pets. Anyways I made this little bag I showed her she took the bag and just loves it. so do I Thank you again for sharing this video
my daughter is autistic and plays with my little ponies, legos, and collects rocks. She is 13. we have several zipper pouches around the house and in the car. :)
Always nice to have a quick & easy project to use up those super cute charm packs! I tend to sew & quilt by video tutorial so I love a fun one to follow along with. This zipper bag compliments the project bag from Sherri's "Home & Hearth" book quite nicely!
what a fabulously easy tute! Thankyou ladies. I think this is a great way for Sew-ers to use a zip for the 1st time. xxx
Finally found why I bought a pack of mini charms! Bought them a while ago and couldn't remember why!
Loved the simplicity of this bag and how quick it is to make such a pretty gift!
Thank you so much. such clear instructions. so appreciated how you put this together.
this would really be cute with a lined vinyl clear, for a makeup bag...Cute Project. I think my girls need this for sure...Thank You...
That's exactly what I was thinking AND wouldn't it be cute if you embroidered on the top band like Wet Stuff or Shampoo and Lotions.
put some grommets in the top and use in a binder as a pencil pouch :)
Awsome bags
Loved 7:01 :D- rotary safety for the win! haha
Your hand coming in to close the rotary blade really made me laugh 😂. Cute tutorial, thanks!
Just beautiful and very easy! Thanks to both of you.

CUTE!
Thank you SO much! love it and I've made 3 so far
This is beautiful I'm going to make the smaller one
Great tutorial!! I can't wait to make one of those, thank you!!
Sew fun!
You two need to do another video together! You're both so on top of every aspect of quilting...it can only be a great video!
thank you!!!!!!!!!!
I would like a large two sided one.
Love the Vintage Picnic fabric! And what a great way to sew the zipper in for anyone sewing a zipper for the first time, or making a no-fuss gift. I also really enjoyed the background music that started at 3:54; any chance you can also share the source? I'd buy a whole CD of that style for any sewing or just relaxing time. Thanks!
did anyone else use something besides the soft and stable?
💖💖💖
I love that this bag does not use vinyl. I'm acquiring supplies to make several of these bags, but I'm really struggling to pick zipper colors. There are so many cute colors of the ByAnnie zippers. How do you decide color?
How do you make the zipper pull when it is too small for the feed dogs to pull it through to sew it?
You say link below re binding but I don't see it.
Johanne Champagne divide and conquer
These flat bags and the WIP bag are cute but I need a bag with a small gusset to be really practical. Any patterns like that?
Hi Donna! We have a tutorial on making a bag with a gusset here: ua-cam.com/video/46HnJmUlAHI/v-deo.html We have a lot of bags on our playlist here: ua-cam.com/play/PLNTabBf7OG9Ll_kYxO55woOo03QlSJu9j.html - Hope this helps!
Can't wait to make this. Is there a printed pattern? Thank you.
We don't have a printed pattern available but we have the fabric requirements found on the bottom of the following page: fatquartershop.blogspot.com/2016/06/how-to-sew-simple-zipper-bag-video.html THanks!
Love the quilt in the background!! Do you have it available? Also the 1/4" foot is awesome! What machine can use it? Thanks...love this bag, too!
Yes, I’m wondering about the foot also. And what brand of sewing machine. Thanks.
Will a pattern be available? I'm not sure that I got all of the measurements...
Hi there - we have the measurements written on our blog here: fatquartershop.blogspot.com/2016/06/how-to-sew-simple-zipper-bag-video.html (towards the bottom)
instead of binding. could you sew the right sides together and then turn right side out?
I don't believe that would work if you are planning on using the same interfacing as we did in this video. It would be far too bulky and it would turn easily.
Thank you.
I can't see a link for the binding ?? :(
Here is that link: ua-cam.com/video/VgaXP6kd8bc/v-deo.html
+Fat Quarter Shop Thank you so much . I made it 👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼
I'm not getting what u say u used for interfacing on that strip??
We were saying Shape-Flex and you can find it here: www.fatquartershop.com/pellon-shape-flex-woven-fuse-15-in-x-72-in Any other type of interfacing should work too. Just very light weight for this part of the bag.
Is there something besides "Soft & Stable" I could use?
Bosal interfacing works as well. You can find it at the following link: www.fatquartershop.com/in-r-form-single-sided-fusible-foam-stabilizer Other than those, you could try thick batting, it will just leave your bag a little more floppy. Hope that makes since. Thanks for your question.
Does anyone know the brand of 1/4" foot being used in this video? Would really like to get one. Thank you for your help.
JUKI only
@@Chris_Yoo__AsTheYooFlies Thanks so much from a Janome owner LOL. Thanks for your reply. Very kind.
Do you sell the presser foot used in this video at the shop? I have a Brother dream weaver.
We don't actually sell that foot. Its called a 1/4" foot with a guide. We purchased from a store called Sew Much More. You can contact them to see if they still have and if it would fit on your machine. Did you machine bind or hand bind this little bag?
Kimberly prefers to handbind, but you are more than welcome to machine bind too!
