The World Toad in the Hole Championships 2023

Teams of competitors gather in Lewes town hall in southern England to partake in the unique British pub game, Toad in the Hole. The game involves tossing brass coins or "toads" towards a lead tabletop, aiming to land them in a small hole from a distance of approximately 8 feet (2.44 meters). The scoring system assigns two points for a successful throw into the hole and one point for landing on the tabletop.
Although the origins of the game are not entirely clear, it has been a favorite pastime of British pub-goers, particularly in the southern county of Sussex, for many years. Toad in the Hole can be played individually or in teams, and the winner is determined by the player or team with the highest score after several rounds.
