That is a great new floor plan, I love how one side is completely open and has the windows.
I just had my container delivered last week and will start building tomorrow, no windows for me as it will be a hidaway style, just the sliding glass door at the entrance of the large container doors.
Excited to see the upcoming videos. Pro tip: Use a grinder w/ a cut off wheel ILO an acetylene torch. You will get straighter and more accurate lines. I have customized over 30 containers and there is nothing that can match the tried and true grinder w/ a cutoff wheel.

Blake? Have you designed that wheelchair accessible 40' container home yet? Bedroom area, make the bed raise and lower on cables? Also need a personal lift getting into and out of wheelchair/bed and shower/wheelchair. 5 feet turning radius. Roy

How do you deal with drywall not cracking when moving your containers? Have you ever had an issue with this? Do you guys mostly use tilt bed trucks or a crane to deliver the container to a location? Thanks! Just got my 20 footer this week. About to start building!
Great video. Great layout. I'm excited to see the finished unit walk through. I'd definitely go for the black cabinets. I just watched the video of the 20ft solar powered bunkhouse. It would be interesting to see the expanded solar specs for this 40ft home

Hello..new sub here. I have been bing watching alt ways to live, ie, tiny homes and shipping containers. I must say though, shipping container homes have really caught my eye! I watched your video regarding all the cost that goes into obtaining one, and the work that goes into just the interior of getting it set up. I found it very helpful! What got me on this journey, is that my oldest daughter lives in her tiny home on 15 acres of beautiful wooded land up here in the frozen tundra (WI). I’m almost debt free and looking to sell our large home, and this way of living really makes sense to me. For me, a compost toilet and off grid living will be a must, and will be purchasing some wooded land up here as well (hunting and fishing)...got to have priorities you know! Anyway, thanks for your videos and sharing your knowledge! Too bad you guys aren’t located up here in WI! Cheers!
Advice me which one is better a finish or a bare type of container
Been browsing since I'm looking at moving out in a year or two and the concept of saving more than half of my money by going the prebuilt route is extremely appealing. Biggest shame is that I'm on the west coast and can't really justify shipping one of yours out here. On top of that I've always been handy and my job is technical so it'd be more enjoyable (and cheaper) for me to have it constructed here rather than prebuilt.
Shaker cabinets are somewhat dated - look into flat white fronts cabinets.. much cleaner and sleeker too. Colour block it - white on the top and grey on the bottom.

Hello, great content! Was wondering who to contact for drawing up plans for a shipping container home, in Florida. We know what we want to build just need proper plans drawn up. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Love it. How would you go desighn smaller containers or two large containers ontop of each other.
Light color cabinets i think would look best. Dark o nes make it look smaller to me and a shade from years ago.
How does the plumbing work? Will i need someone to hook up sewer or do you do that?
I wonder what the R value of this container is? Does a container have to follow the building codes of a regular home? For regular homes the R value for a roof is > 30.
Do you think it will still be structurally sound to move if you wanted to move your house later on?

How many 40 foot containers can you put together to make a 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathroom about 1800 to 2000 sq ft
@4:24 What's going on near the roof? Is it a crawl space for wires?I can't tell what the exterior and interior parts of the roof/ceiling are. Also what software do you use to model all of this? Thank you!

How due you add a shower vent? Like regular homes have and i havent seen any shipping with a washroom/shower with a vent to vent out a hot shower poeple take like me
