Even tough Liam is far from his prime, and in one of his worst years, I like this performance, his voice kind gave a different touch to the song, it is as good as his voice in 94 ? Of course not, but is it bad ? Hell no, it's no bad, is just different. In resume, I like it.
Once I used to have the same thought as you long time ago when I was new to Oasis Then I came back to listen today I gotta say his vocal in this version is the closest vocal to 96's era just a little bit nasal and and too slow bpm
At first I was like " fuck no" but if you listen to a lot of his performances from 17 he really does!!! He's amazing now. Compared to this. Still not as good as 94 tho
How on earth do you expect a 45 year old liam gallagher who has passed through lots of excess of vice and a heavy life sing better than a 22 year old liam who had just a few years of vice and just started to sing 2 years ago?
How tf can people say this is wack? This whole performance gives me chills, amazing cobaine-esque voice, the enormous crowd in freezing weather, band looked a lil bored but performed it excellently. One of the best performances of one of the greatest songs
I actually really love Liam's voice here especially when he's stretching the vowel sounds today is gonna be that today is gonna be the day that today is gonna be the day today is gonna be that today is gonna be the day that today is gonna be the day
This is one of the worst live versions ever. I mean not the voice of Liam made it bad, it looks like that the band would not be on stage. Noel looks so bored and give not his best here.
The whole band has said before that they hate the song and hate playing it, so it kind of makes sense that they wouldn't look like they're enjoying this.
+Nolan Woodward I can understand that, seeing as how much it was played on the airwaves. The thing is, the words strike a chord with a lot of people in a very simplistic way
Today is gonna be the day That they're gonna throw it back to you By now you should've somehow Realized what you gotta do I don't believe that anybody Feels the way I do, about you now Backbeat, the word was on the street That the fire in your heart is out I'm sure you've heard it all before But you never really had a doubt I don't believe that anybody Feels the way I do about you now And all the roads we have to walk are winding And all the lights that lead us there are blinding There are many things that I Would like to say to you but I don't know how Because maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me And after all, you're my wonderwall Today was gonna be the day But they'll never throw it back to you By now you should've somehow Realized what you're not to do I don't believe that anybody Feels the way I do, about you now And all the roads that lead you there are winding And all the lights that light the way are blinding There are many things that I Would like to say to you but I don't know how I said maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me And after all, you're my wonderwall I said maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me And after all, you're my wonderwall I said maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me you're gonna be the one that saves me you're gonna be the one that saves me
@@JohnWiIkesBooth Dead on! People slag Zak's performance here but they forget he only joined the band a week or two prior to this show. He went on to be Oasis best drummer in my opinion.
You can say whatever you want about Liam, but one thing will never change with him. Hell look fuckin cool in his coffin and hell swagger all the way to rock heaven.
Liam actually doesn't sound too bad here. It's just that Zak was brand new at the time and as a result they performed this song (and others from this gig) a bit slower than usual which makes it sound awkward.
I Was On The Right Of Leam, And I Had I Spliff And A Can Of Beer Sing Along With, But I Was Looking At 120.000 People Singing Back At Me, On Of My Best Memories And I Got Paid For It, I Miss Them Day,s, Oh Well
Yea, you take care of it by cutting way back on the smokes and booze which is exactly what Noel did. Thankfully so, because I for one believe he's got the better voice anyway.
Liam sounds good on this song and this song only from the festival, from what ive seen so far. I think his voice may sound raspy as shit, but it works for this song. Stop crying your heart out however, well thats a whole diff story.
Is that a vegas? I thought it was his trini lopez. Body shape looks a bit more like a 335 but in either case I doubt I'd be able to afford either one at the moment. What kinda did it for me for this gig (by did it, I mean nod in approval) was Zak's drum rollover in Don't Look Back In Anger. Alan always seemed to sort of laze through it and I was kinda worried Zak would too, but he seemed to pretty much nail it.

radiohead is some of the most pioneering stuff i've ever heard and it is really top but oasis are nothing like them. radiohead have a bit of soul but for the most part are dark and have a lot of abstract music. oasis is classic rock and roll that has good songwriting and some english soul. they can't compare but in the minds of the millions of the world, oasis will always be better.

I was in the crowd to and have to agree with you, liam really didnt seem to want to be there, A shame because you had lots of oasis fans in the crowd who enjoyed even a poor oasis performance . There was nothing wrong with the crowd, the pyramid stage if youve ever been up on it is incredible, I dont know what was wrong with their sound but I dont think anyone can blame the venue. I think lots of people enjoyed their perfomance but I didnt think much of it, really they should try again there

Insert noel crying
And Liam got burnt
Lol u guys are from the same place as we'll do hahaha
Liam and his air guitar
Matias Pizzi I think he was mimicking Noel lol
I thought he was fucking wankin it
hahahahaha
Ikr
I like that he's wearing a Ric Flair robe.
Not True Scotsman WOOOOOO-nderwall
Malcolm Boyd good one
Jackie Chan if Rick flair ran on stage and threw him in a DDT it would be an improvement
Same
Wait for it... Who's watching in 2020?
Me
My favourite version. Gritty ..beautiful.
Unforgettable is the word, no matter the year...
Me
why? Why do people say this?

Am I the only one that likes his voice here?
+Insiders Brish same! People saying his voice is horrible from drugs, I like this version better!
+Insiders Brish I mean it sounds good, but it was much better in the 90s and you can't deny that
+Fog812 8 I didnt say it sounded better either

How is his voice shit? It's perfect.
His voice is a bit rough, but I dig this version a lot.
This is my favourite version, and I don't even like the band, but this performance was absolutely brilliant.
100% agree MC.
hard to believe this video is over 10 years old now
TheJudoJoker 14 now
almost 15
20 years
20 years now mate 😭
Now 20 years ago
Liam's voice sounds much better in 2017 than 2004
i agree

Starsfish Prime yes...
I feel the same Mark.

If kurt cobain swallowed sandpaper and drank liquid shit for 50 years, then maybe his voice would be kurt cobain-esque
Cobain esque are you joking 😂😂
Why would he be joking
Imo the drums are the weak part here, not the vocals.
LAX MAX because he sounds nothing like Kurt Cobain
Magik Mike version is better
I know magik Mike but this is better
Amazing Performance. Liams voice is simply beautiful.
Best Band in the whole foookkkkin world

I dont know why but in this song liam vocal not that bad
Stupid fucking youtube says in the description that the song on the video is “Supersonic” and that it’s from the Wembley 2000 gig. 🤦♂️ 🤦♂️
Liam’s voice is giving me John Lennon vibes...eerily similar..
if zak can play who songs he can certainly play wonderwall the way it was recorded
Today is gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do, about you now
Backbeat, the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you but I don't know how
Because maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all, you're my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day
But they'll never throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do, about you now
And all the roads that lead you there are winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you but I don't know how
I said maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all, you're my wonderwall
I said maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all, you're my wonderwall
I said maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me
you're gonna be the one that saves me
you're gonna be the one that saves me
Anyway, here's Wonderwall.
This outfit is amazing. Oh, and the song is just genius.
I love Liam's coat .
*random drum solo*
*clap clap*
Liam sounds great here
agree, no matter what the man does, it is solid gold
I prefer Zak drumming than the original recording not too many ghost note.
i think he wore this outfit because, as he said, he hates glastonbury.
goddamit, i love him
Liam looks a little like Michael Fassbender no?
More like Michael Shanks
Pratt Kamath yeah. He looks really cool sporting some facial hair.
Fassbender playing Steve Jobs
woeful drumming
Let’s see Whitey try play the drum solo from “The Shock of the Lightning”
@@JohnWiIkesBooth Dead on! People slag Zak's performance here but they forget he only joined the band a week or two prior to this show. He went on to be Oasis best drummer in my opinion.

Damn I was 5 at that Time fuckkk
I was 6! And was in the crowd somewhere!
I was 93. I'm 107 now.
Damn I remember when it was realised in '95 and now I feel really old lol
I was 67 at that time now i'm a sperm in my dad's nutsack ;)
okie gamer i was 3 nearly 6
I’d lose an arm for oasis to come back. Best music band of all time for me. Don’t look back in anger is more known than England’s club anthem.
which arm?
I’ve seen several comments about how people are saying Liam’s voice sounds bad but not a single comment where he’s being bashed
You can say whatever you want about Liam, but one thing will never change with him. Hell look fuckin cool in his coffin and hell swagger all the way to rock heaven.
Wow they performed this when I was 1 years old dam I wish I was old enough to been able to go to their concert
khushbu sardar I was 9. Haven't been exposed to their music until I was 14, the year they broke up. Such a sad thing indeed.
I was 0
Keep in mind though, that was 8 years before this. Liam didn't even come close to taking as good a care of his voice as Noel did with his.
Liam actually doesn't sound too bad here. It's just that Zak was brand new at the time and as a result they performed this song (and others from this gig) a bit slower than usual which makes it sound awkward.
Best version ever
This is a very pedestrian version of the song
Hahaha! Oasis admit to ripping the beatles off, and as for "OASIS improvement and evolve the music of the Beatles" improve your bloddy english!

This song is oldschool 😂 wow this old now but as they always say "Old is gold." I love all Oasis songs!
He weared like hunters in alaska.

@shelbourne14 It's a Gibson Trini Lopez as seen first in the video for The Hindu Times. If you look closely you'll see the holes in the body are elongated diamonds, whereas ES-355s have f-holes. Also the headstock is a "Fender-style" one rather than the 2x3 headstock the ES-355s have and the inlays on the neck are split diamonds which are different to the ES-355's block inlays.
The reunion finally

2 brothers one great band that used to be........now beady eye vs noels high flying birds........i love liam but noel got him beat!!!!!!!!
considering this captured the mind and soul of the thousands upon thousands in attendance, i'd really like to see what you call exciting.
Beats his performance in coventry's big weekend by miles. 2017 was good for him bit god damn he was so out of tune in his most recent performance
That white coat sure does make him stand out. And Coldplay is actually top of the top. I think Liam looks a lot like John Lennon.
I remember wtaching this in 2004 and thinking wtf is wrong with liam
in retrospect its better than most he offfered in 2005 and 2006
I actually like this performance of wonderwall,10000000times better than the Olympic version, Liam is a much better singer now though R Kid is back as you were x
you mean split into 3/4, 3 in one band 1 in another not exactly half but im sure noel counts as more than one so fair enough
Personally i think Noel sings this better but well liam had a choice, wonderwall or dont look back in anger, Liam picked this
noel shouldn't have stepped and stopped the carnage that was Liam's dying voice...I love Oasis but this is a shite rendition
I prefer Franz Ferdinand despite of my fondness about 90s
fucking love oasis but ive never understood why they play this song with an electric that acoustic sound makes the song
he's always been a mixture of Lydon and Lennon and this is more John Lydon than John Lennon...and whats wrong with that
Then why would you look up the video?

sounds like 'The Year of The Cat' guy.
It was britpop actually, but I do agree that it is pop. But they are not overrated by any stretch of the imagination.
