Funny seeing all the comment here some 12 years ago, France......Equipe De France are World Champions again. It took Deschamp to get them there, one of the most balanced and explosive teams of all time. Mbappe was next level shit and he was an all around team player helping Pavard in the final. It takes balance, team atmosphere.....to think France blew 2010 and in 2014 needed Mbappe to get them there.
There was also that time a couple of seasons ago ,when they started slowly got criticized back home, (and rightly so) and went all the way to the final. There's two games to go, regardless of what happens they have a chance.

Maybe Gomis didn't perform well at Euro 2008 but taking 'Trezegoal' would not have been much better. He missed a key penalty in the 06 World Cup, threatened to quit the team and had a lethargic performance when he came back. Gomis is a good player but he's still a little raw. Give him a few years but he should become better. I do agree with you that players like Flamini, Sagna, Clichy should have been called up. I also think Lassana Diarra should have gotten his opportunity.

Mate, this team reflects Frances multicultural society, and the guys playing in the team reflect the talent that comes from people who are French. I guess you can't see past the colour of their skin. I live in London and I am sure that if Indians Brits or Pakistanys Brits where remotely interested in football, the english team would look a whole lot different.
