dialga vstar could be a tier 2 deck in its final year (april 2024- march 2025)
Game plan is to setup 3 metal maker metang like single strike urshifu vmax deck setup 3 single strike roar houndoom to charge up the energy
We could integrate TM evolution to speed up the setup, vitality band/ maximum belt to increase star chronos damage in order to knock out HP230-HP270 2 prize pokemon when we get extra turn
If 2 dialga vstar got knocked out, and the score is tie, we might need mew ex as a joker to break the dreadlock

We know metagross always gets rulebox cards and that the SV evolution promos have each slowly gotten rulebox counterparts with every set so I can’t wait for metagross ex in a future set. They aren’t creating these cool abilities or attacks on some evolving or basic Pokémon for no reason anymore.
Would love a tera Metagross ex, like fighting. There seems to be a lack of good fighting types and they generally struggle with energy. So a good tera Metagross ex could help fix fighting types in an indirect way.
So happy to see another viable Dialga deck!! I won a local with the Magnezone build and excited to run it back with Metang!!
I made a kid cry at pre-release today because he thought i was cheating using more than 1 metal maker per turn. This kid is ranked top 15 in juniors in the world and thinks he's god's gift to Pokémon. He also insisted in cutting my pre-release deck and his first cut knocked my entire deck over 😅 . Then he went on to cut my deck after a metal maker when it wasnt necessary. I wish our local sceen had more juniors so i never have to put up with that ever again. I just kept my cool and let it all slide because i knew i was winning no matter what he did. 😅😅
I tested this deck and enjoyed it thoroughly. It’s not as consistent as Raging Bolt (how are you still calling it Raging Bulk, Mr. Bramblin Man?), but sifting through my deck 12 cards at a time feels very satisfying, almost therapeutic. Thank you for sharing this list.
Speaking of which, are there any cards you would change? I’m not crazy about the Judge, since the deck doesn’t have that many draw supporters and nothing better than Radiant Greninja to dig for an out to a fresh hand.

This is cool, maybe I'll play around with a similar Metang list when my Escape Rope's and Medicham V rotate out of my Iron Valiant deck.

Can we not add iron hands?? 220+120 on iron hands attack?? That's an instant charizard 3 prize KO plus iron hands can pick up a KO on 1 prizes after Dialga gets 1 so your looking at potential for 3 even in a 1 prize deck.

I think the ancient deck could benefit from squawkabilly ex. It wants to dicard cards and it could get a fresh hand on its first turn to help it take that first KO he was really trying to get. Also a few ultra balls to help discard ancient cards from hand he doesn't need so the deck can push more damage could help.
Ohh man, this deck is winning some City League Tournaments in Japan. Could this be it, guys? Could we finally see a viable Dialga VSTAR deck? I have been rooting for this card for so long...

Fun fact: Jay Hornung affectionately nicknamed Metang "Meditang." And that's what I'm nicknaming my Beldum if I ever catch one in Diamond Version (Don't ask. You're happier not knowing how hard it is to find this thing, much less to catch it).
Also, I dare you to play a Minccino sound for no reason next time you play Professor's Research (Professor Juniper).

I really want to play the Dailga deck, but how would it fair against Charizard? What could i do or add to possibly win against it?
With the new rotation coming up, I decided to try my hand at irl competitive TCG and really wanted to build something with Dialga/Magnezone but Metang is starting to look a lot more appealing! I might try a variant which also includes Basculin (gets 2 basic Pokemon on my bench) and Basculegion (shuffle all discarded Energies back). I did notice you don't run any Stadium cards, is there one that could work in this deck to also prevent my opponent from getting too wild with theirs?
You could play lost vacuum to remove tools or stadiums. Lost vacuum isn’t bad because it’s also searchable via arven! If you really want a stadium, artazon is never a bad idea. You could also try the new metal -30 defensive buff stadium coming out of temporal forces, but I am not a fan of those types of cards as opponents almost never actually swing into them
Would a 1 of cryptomaniac be good in this list?
I think even a 2 of would be solid to guarantee attachments and protect against impending Iono

Energy recycler rotates the same day temporal forces becomes legal so it wouldn't make sense to be testing with that in the deck. Energy recycler has an "E" regulation mark. All cards with "E" will no longer be standard legal when temporal forces becomes legal.

I cringe everytime i see you do that pyramid shuffle or bending cards in your hands. That asside i love dialga vstar and to see the metang being a better magnazone is so good i mostly just play expanded, but its nice to see my main deck ia getting some great support aswell as my metal glc deck getting energy support.

I've been trying Grant in the ancient deck, it has helped so much in getting cards out of my hand.
Metang is yet another energy accelerator that let's you splash something crazy like Iron Hands ex and actually attack with a Mew Ex outta nowhere. So cool!
Mew ex would be a wildcard to break the tie
