Thanks so much for the information, Elna! I would love to see more writing skills/process videos. Also, how long does it take you write a typical blog post -- including research, outlining, writing, editing, etc? I'm always confused when writers say they can write a blog post in an hour. What about the other steps? Just wanted to know because I want to improve the efficiency of my writing process and want to get an idea of how long things should take.
It depends on the topic. Just the other day for my own blog I wrote 3k words in about 1 hour! For my client pieces that will take me close to 10 hours. It's just different. I also need to add more stats, examples, references for client pieces than for my own brand. I know where to get examples (i.e. from a freelance study I was looking at or from my LinkedIn discussions) so it doesn't take much time to get the post coming together.

I retired from freelancing back in 2017 but I have been curious about AI type writing styles versus that of a writer.

How do I start with no exp? 12+ years as an IT professional, experience writing SOPs and KBs for training purposes within my role for a former employer. I am starting a tech/lifestyle blog. As I publish articles using chatgpt, could this be used as my portfolio?
I loved the tutorial. I am more of a formal writer and storyteller with some fluff but I can be clear and concise. In my copywriting course, we call it the big chop where you concise your copywriting. I do use because a lot and will stop doing it. I am a great writer and with your help, I will be an even greater writer for money. I would like to know how many pieces of writing samples do you need in your portfolio to show future clients?
That's great to hear! As for your portfolio for a new writer I would put 3 to 4 articles in your portfolio and over time you can have dozens if you want. It's up to you!
