I found a 20p coin from either 1967 or 1977.The figures 6 and 7 on right side have been covered with excess silver from coat of arms.Thanks for your attention.

I found a 2015 £2 coin where the center has moved round so when you hold it and look at the date on the bottom and turn it over instead of the neck of the queen being there its the top of her head in very good condition too
Centre pills can be popped out and rotated, probably most mint damage

E a pata do leão,do outro lado da moeda, têm também um resto de materia bem no joelho.

Just found out that the copper 20p coin has been platted. Nail filed the edge and the nickel silver shows through. Has been treated with acid and platted with copper. How disappointed I am with unscrupulous Pearson’s trying to con people by making them think they have a rare coin. I have been collecting for years and have never come across anything like this before. Shameful 😫

Bin it. I thought I had the same but turned out to be platted using acid and such. If you file the edge the nickel silver look will come through 😫 proving it’s been played with to make you think it’s valuable

I'm almost certain that I've had a bronze 20p, but passed it on as I thought that it was simply damaged.
Coins be attacked with chemicals changing their appearance - that's what I thought happened.
Oh no! It's always a good idea to get them verified by The Royal Mint to find out if you have got your hands on a rare one.

It really didn't occur to me for one second that CB it could have been bronze - I do recall it having the slightly aged patina of bronze, but I've seen several coins damaged by chemicals and they can take on strange appearances.
Many years ago I worked in the jewellery business - in manufacturing. We had gold plating and rhodium plating rlectro baths, and I used to plate copper coins for friends.
I know that you shouldn't deface money, but they looked fantastic.
Never mind, I could easily have been wrong about this coin, and if I wasn't then I'm only one of thousands of people who let these things go.

i have a 20p coin with a gold coloured centre and i think its either a fake or printing error i think the printing errors more likely though because the design looks real
it could also be rust
