I have a 1943 P Nickel like the one you shown with both sides Pebblely. It weighs 4.3 grams with obverse and reverse design Pebblely like that. The P is barely visible.
Good point. There are some distinct differences. I’ve seen other popular coin channels as well as eBay sellers mis-identify machine doubling with a real doubled due. Check out the @CoinHelpU and @Ken Peavey channel for videos that discuss the differences in detail.
I have a 1999-D nickel that has a pie pan rim and look like a die cap honestly on the back it has full step great collection said it would cost to much to certify it
Probably 1/3rd of Jefferson nickels ive got have RPMs. Older ones that were marked on the reverse, just to the right of Monticello do at least, those are riddled with RPMs/DPMs, & idk if its common or luck
It could be depending on the reason there is no Lincoln. I would take your penny to a coin shop or post pictures to an online error coin message board. If you have Facebook I highly recommend the @coinhelpu Facebook group for coin questions.
@@MintMiser It just looks like the cent was struck with no die in place as it is pretty much flat on the side that should have had Lincoln on it. It is only slightly rounded over on the edges. I'll have to see if I can find it. I have no idea where it's at, but I'm fairly sure I still have it.
amazing that nearly invisable errors can sell more than that 90% off center nickle i meAN I dont understand the way these get assigned value wouldnt that massive error be worth much more than the comparatively small error nickels we see here? can anyone explain this to me? bc i'm lost
Check photograde on pcgs.com. You can get an idea of the grade and value on that site. Pictures usually don't represent the coin well. Thanks and good luck!
I have A LOT of change that looks very interesting. I love where there is no one knowledgeable around me about coins. What would you suggest? I really would love for someone to look through my coins
I have a nickel I have been trying to find out if I would be able to sell it for something. I'm just lost and no money or car to try and find a dealer. Any suggestions?
@@MasonGaston-uw8eh I appreciate your suggestion, but your comment came across as insensitive and disrespectful. Not only do i think employes are making money off their "art", id think the mints themselves are allowing the process or even over seeing the error making activities in hopes the media coveeage will bring in more collectors.which brings more money to the plant.or even some family members. Hmmm
Me too, some of the wrong planchet errors are sketchy. There are some recent examples too like the Wisconsin extra leaf varieties for the quarter but most errors and varieties are natural from a process of billions of coins being pressed through a mechanical process. Thanks @chrisf6657!
I think double dies are over rated and not really that good for collecting unless it's severely noticeable. There's lots of them too not really that rare

Anyone else ever notice when a dealer has a coin like this, it a double die, but when the average Joe has one, it’s machine doubling?

I have a Lincoln cent that has no Lincoln on it. It only has the memorial on the back. Could it be worth any money?
