🔴 NOT LEGAL ADVICE - Розваги
After over thirty years of watching televised/online trials, my opinion of defense attorneys has gone from disdain, to realizing that they are just doing a very necessary job, whether I agree with them or not. Mr. Jackson is the first defense attorney that I am literally rooting for.
Agree re: Jackson and Yannetti. 💯 They're on top of everything in a very complicated case. Hope I never need a criminal atty anywhere, but these guys'd be my first call.
Also, I respect the career of defense attorneys - especially considering the uninformed opprobrium they get in nearly all criminal trials - at least on YT.
Tbh, I had no idea this many people are literally unaware of the Bill of Rights. Mercy.
The more innocent you are the more you need a defence legalise isn’t easy for most of us we do forget the burden is on the state to prove guilt through facts and evidence justice is supposed to be blind. Have no problem with ppl getting a defence you want the bad guys done correctly not just it’s them job done this case investigation lost all credibility for me just as a person interested in true crime. Look at the poor boy they ended up sending to a mental facility for 4 days after getting him to confess to a murder that wasn’t even committed his father just went to his gf home after a fight 😮suppose who watches the watchmen ?
@@mortalclown3812 it seems like Yanetti is basically just a backup QB lately. I’m guessing that’s from Karen.
I rooted for Scott Peterson (in Florida) attorney. But yeah...that might have been the only other one. And it felt different than this case. I think that case was meritless...but the investigation wasn't really an issue...more the political undertone of that prosecution decision than the investigation into it
I agree, same with Yanetti! They both seem so passionate of their clients innocence. When the judge scolded for Yanetti for "putting on a show" or being "hyperbolic" or "he is trying to convince her nobody else" was so offensive. He just seemed passionate.
Peter, you don't need to justify yourself to those who smear, instigate, and lack respect for differing opinions. You are respected for honest and unbiased discussions. You are appreciated!
I second this! 💯
Yesss what I wanted to say as I’m listening to this after the fact.
Yea, I’m a law student. I’m unbiased, but have opinions of occurrences on both sides. I appreciate LYK for BN frank. (Get it?😉) He should oblige the majority and ignore the few. Most fiend for a response to negativity. I watch others and they don’t address dramatics. Peter owes no explanation to the naysayers. It’s too easy for them to stop watching.
🎯 Peter there’s also no subscription to Law Tube. It’s just what people call the legal professionals that have channels on YT. I concur thankfully you aren’t anything like any of the people who consider themselves “Law Tube.”
@@brandifrank2812Everyone has a bias (some more than others). Believing you're unbiased is because you're biased towards a positive view of yourself :p
I get what you're saying though, if you're referring to this case, or speaking in relative terms.
This trial did *NOT* require the length of time they were given. I honestly don't think I've ever watched a trial, where *SO* much was said... yet, nothing was said. 😂
This is just dragging on and on without anything of much evidentiary value. 🤨
Yep, another of talking but saying nothing
😂😂😂 it's like one of those Tyler Perry shows 😅😅
Because Lally has nothing to say. Adding more words to sentences doesn’t add meaning…🙄
So much of the earlier testimony felt like a nothing burger. So tedious and drawn out for no apparent reason. Could have done just fine with half the witnesses and Lally not establishing it was snowing with every single witness.
And I feel like they worked backwards .. they should’ve came out with medical testimony from ME and the “expert reconstructionist” 😂 then interviewed the people from the bar and so on. They’ve made it all confusing and boring AF! Your supposed to grab the jurors with easily identifiable facts and info.
My coworker had cops, in a super small town that doesn’t even have a Walmart, come to question her because a guy in her neighborhood stabbed his mom and then called the police confessing. He was already arrested 6 hours prior and that was a clear cut closed case yet they still went to every house in the neighborhood to question what they know of them and if they saw anything. And that was even day of….
“That doesn’t even have a Walmart.”
Haha yeah that must be pretty small 😂
The things that were not investigated and the people who were not questioned are insurmountable problems IMO.
My town is so small it would fit in a Walmart
@@Vtsnows😂😂😂
As a juror (I’ve been one). Too much reasonable doubt! I served on an attempted murder case. My question would be, why didn’t you knock on the door of the Albert’s ❓
Thanks for your take! I’ve been wondering what prior jurors think of this trial!
@@db9289 jury instructions actually tell you that you cannot convict with reasonable doubt.
@@db9289 also you’re so compelling to me. My family is from Germany but I am born in NY raised in Puerto Rico and live in AZ. But Reicher is my name and my dad was from Halle Germany. You?
I have noticed every case I have watched with LYK. The majority of how people feel about a case, is usually the verdict! The jury sees more than we do! 💯
Unbelievable that they didn’t question the homeowners
We all know, as does the Jury that if it were any one of our homes that had a dead body out front, the inside our house would have been turned upside down
I don’t understand a few comments against Jackson? The guy is a brilliant atty, amazing at cross, whether you like him or not.
Alan Jackson is a pig who viciously attacked Harvey Weinstein rape victims then has the gall to try to shame others for personal opinions of vile cop killers
"shame on you" - at that moment you knew theatrics had taken over and nothing of substance was present.
@@richardw3052 Do you feel threatened by intelligent and confident men, Richard? Work on yourself and do better, Richard.
Maybe then you will have the strength, to appreciate good work when you see it.
@@richardw3052he said what we all think about that mans actions! i suppose you do same things to women around you,so morals for you is mere theatre..
@@richardw3052NONSENSE!!! Needed to be said
I was questioned by the State Bureau of Investigation about a SA incident my friend merely *told me about* on Facebook messenger. I still cannot believe the police didn’t go into the Albert’s house. It’s truly hard to fathom.
Tully quote, “we would “normally” follow the evidence”. Uh…shouldn’t you ALWAYS follow the evidence Tully
Yea I caught that too.
As a non active service 0321 FORECON and later an 0372 CSO with the USMC and current critical incident investigator with the fire service in my home state you always follow the evidence, it's how you build a potential suspect pool, weather it be tracking terrorists to narco traffickers or arsonists and bombers or shoddy building engineers or contractors. then you widdle that pool down with various pieces of physical evidence and witness statements to sharpen the scope of the investigation to the guilty party. This obviously wasn't done here and unsurprisingly enough it's sort of par for the course with civilian Law Enforcement here in the US. This screams of a cover up and definitely a purposefully botched investigation to make the current defendant the guilty party, I for one would like to see any photos leading from the house to the body once CSI's were on scene contrary to popular belief footprints/drag marks in snow do not just disappear even if it continues to snow they leave residual traces showing a pattern where someone walked or was dragged. And would show if he the victim was struck by a vehicle via the debris field around the body NOT 30-50 feet away that would require an oddly high rate of speed for a driveway to throw debris that far. They claim she backed up into him and hit him that conclusion would not stand up during an accident reconstruction analysis funny how one was never done as far as I know to prove that's what happened. Maybe cause they already knew that's not what happened and are trying to hang this on someone else that is what all the evidence and testimony points to in my opinion.
Yes!
People who have NOTHING to hide - hide NOTHING
I can’t get behind the butt dials, missing videos, lack of blood at the scene and random large pieces showing up 10 days later. I can never get beyond a reasonable doubt.
Edit: I forgot the solo cups sitting next to the tailgate. 🙄🙄🙄
3 weeks later...from 1/29 all the way to 2/18!

Let alone rehoming a dog, “rehoming” multiple phones, ripping out basement floors, mirrored videos, lack of interviews…and on, and on, and on. 😂
Yes yes yes
@@ilovegodzilla Exactly.
I thought Proctor testified that he wasn’t reprimanded by anyone for his texts about Karen, but then his supervisor testified that he spoke with Proctor regarding the texts and escalated it to his superiors? 🤔
I don’t believe any of them 🤦♀️
The original question was if he was reprimanded, but an objection was sustained and it had to be rephrased to reprimanded by anyone on the text thread. That said, I thought this guy was on the text thread, and if he was he likely got into trouble too, not the source of the trouble.
@@cplusmcretiredhe was in the text thread.
Don’t think for a second that he reprimanded him. He was making comments like this repeatedly to a variety of people for months…
@@cplusmcretired Proctor was very proud of the fact that he was never reprimanded for anything…
We know they all lie, why are you shocked 😂😂😂
I was just a juror on a double homicide in April (I was a new juror) and jurors don’t miss much. Before deliberations get crazy we all mentioned our eye roll moments and how incredibly incompetent some cops are and the ones we found credible and so on.
This is such interesting insight. I could tell from juror interviews in other cases that not much gets past jurors. It must be so different being in the jury box with that task compared to a virtual viewer of the trial. Such an important duty!
Conflict after conflict…We will never know the truth. Rest easy Officer O’Keefe.
I know. That's the saddest part 😔. My heart breaks every time I see his mom in the courtroom because she looks so hurt 😢🤦🏾♀️
Nah. We know she did it
That’s what’s sad! An honorable man was murdered and no one gave a damn enough to do an honorable investigation! John loved Karen. If nothing else that was enough reason to treat Karen with respect until or unless that had no doubt she murdered him. They don’t even have a confirmed homocide let alone Karen intended to do this, if she did and I’m more sure than not she didn’t.
@@melistasy I lost some of my sadness for his mom because when they were reading those horrible text messages about Karen. She was laughing at him, calling her those names and talking about her leaky butt. I don’t see the sense in that, they’ve sat through this whole trial, don’t they see the holes in this case?!?! Does she hate her so much that she can’t be objective? These people told her that she purposely murdered her son. Shame on them! The dad was said have Karen one day and he hasn’t been back in court. I fear they’re not only butchered an investigation into this man’s death, but maybe, causing a 50 year relationship split up!
@@melistasywhile his mom is laughing while they were reading the text messages about Karen read or the fact that she took John to court to fight for custody of the kids.. no I don’t feel sorry for her she is not a nice person… now Mr okeefe that’s who I feel sorry for this trial has broken him and he will be a witness for the defense because he doesn’t believe Karen did it!! My heart hurts for him
What he did was not do a proper investigation. He did not go into the Albert’s house because he was a cop. Trust me if they didn’t know who lived there and he was not a cop they would’ve went into the house.
He’s a liar. He put it in Canton because it was the closest and they could have the hands on it much more easily than driving all the way to Foxboro. He’s a bold face liar.
How convenient Albert works there to the two brothers how convenient both cops know everybody in Canton
It’s called a cover-up turning your head the other way just for the blues
I DONTE trust you
I’ve had cops want to come into my house because they heard there was underage drinking happening. Threatened to break down my door. There was no party.
I am waiting for a medical professional because other than his right arm no one has testified to noticing any injury from the neck down. How does one get hit with enough force to knock them back but not leave any marks other than scratches on his arm. Can a 6000 pound object hit the arm and knock you back without breaking it? How does hitting the grass with a light snow covering cause a two inch horizontal gash? I need a medical examiner and accident reconstructionist to show me how this was a car accident because right now it doesn't sound logical.
Right. No body bruises, broken ribs etc. it hit him hard enough to throw him to the ground and split his head and the only other injury is some gashes on his unbroken arm? I don’t understand that at all. I wonder if the defence will bring in a witness to argue that point.
@@My-22-Cents The prosecution had experts examine all that and they all stated that they did not believe it was a car. The defense is currently trying to bring them in as their own witnesses. The state want them excluded (surprise surprise)
@@TheGdav0202 no, it's the defense who has the experts. Experts that the FBI who is investigating the bogus investigation hired to do. Lally is trying to keep them from testifying. Their conclusion was that a car did not hit John which was already obvious by the injuries the poor man sustained.
I have said this a million times...if they find a dead body 20 feet outside my house....they are coming in my house!! But that was a police officer home and that is the one and only reason why they never checked the house!!!!
In regards to all of the missing or erroneous documentation.... how is it that the call centers I worked in 20 plus years ago held us more accountable to accurate thorough documentation than a homicide department? Their mantra (the call center) was if it wasn't documented it didn't happen.
THIS!!!
For a fellow police officer as well!
And in 2024, they are NOT video and audio recording everything.
@@kristinperry9945 Right? That is crazy, in my opinion. I can't think of any reason that a competent, non-corrupt cop wouldn't record everything.
He *DEFINITELY* should not be making statements to the jury regarding abrasion patterns and what causes them. He's a cop... not a doctor!
I feel like all these cops appear to think they are experts in medical assessment / bodily injuries.
Yet , they seem to know nothing about investigation skills, chain of custody, securing a murder scene , documenting pertinent details , or taking pictures of the most important pieces of evidence - like the taillight !
@suzannemammon e3635 That's a terrific assessment.
Peter, the bigger your channel gets the more haters and trolls you will have. Don't worry too much. It just means you are reaching more people. ❤
John's DNA Would be on the car. He was always around the car. He rode in it all the time.
Especially because didn’t they just swab the whole back half with a couple swabs or something?
Agree.. he probably cleaned her veh as well. And IF they planted it they would make sure his (and not their) DNA was on it .. though the area would have his DNA spread all over due to paramedics, Karen, Jen, etc. trampling the area. As for "beyond all reasonable doubt".. the actions of police, investigator, and their friends have not only screwed their case but exposed themselves. Perhaps they shouldn't have levelled a charge of murder.
Exactly, unless it's DNA from blood, then it means nothing.
@@graemejoyce5629 Heck..if he is anything like my husband he probably brushed it off for her when they left the bar…
Didn’t the investigator who gave testimony like 2 weeks ago say she swabbed the cut edges? But even so, who goes around caressing their car’s tail lights?? And in New England in the winter no one is hand washing their car.
There is no concrete proof that Karen said "I did it." It was all hearsay.
Multiple people heard her say that
They are not all in on it imo
@@maryw1129 But yeah, not one of them people put it into any of their reports as a matter fact Jenn McCabe didn’t even mention that when she testified at the grand jury
She did admit on an on camera interview that she said “could I have hit him?” . So they all ran with that.
Apparently Jen McCabe only mentioned the supposed admission of “I hit him” after her 11th or 12th interview
@@mrs.m1752 Right and she still "forgot" about that and later called the cop to let him know.

Peter is straight chillin with us in his Tie dye tee 😎
Proctor was told by a paramedic that it looks like he was beaten up.
This case should’ve been dismissed along time ago on the basis that the investigation was botched. It wasn’t done correctly, which violates her right that’s it.

Yeah, but the DA needs a suspect. Hence, the debacle police investigation. Blame the state of Mass. They approved the charges against KR. They threw it at a wall and hoped it would stick. Lally is so disinterested in this case. The state only cares about blaming someone and maybe Lally is not even really convinced but he has to do his job. States don't care about violating peoples rights. Go fight city hall. A losing battle. if you think for a second that govt is your champion then your nuts
Cases like this highlights just how important to the Justice system and average people, defence lawyers are. One would go so far as to say they they defend human rights for a living and i appreciate that. We're all human and we have to constantly keep working to keep things honest and lawful.
If a dead man with evidence of violence towards him is found on my property, hands up who thinks the cops are going to come to my home and ask some tough questions. Another hand up who thinks they are going search my house. Third hand up who thinks they would treat me as a suspect.
I kinda don’t have three hands. Does a foot count?
I believe Proctor has three hands. He is so good finding evidence.
These cops all stink to high heaven.
My dad(a retired cop) subscribed after I sent him a clip. Thanks for what you do
It blew my mind when they got into physics. I’m confident he’s not qualified on that subject.
Where is the chain of custody for John's phone, especially with missing ring camera footage?
At the beginning of the trial they showed the Solo cups in the sally port by the tail light
It was a dark and snowy night…and the fiction began.
The more the prosecution has their witnesses on the stand wearing exam gloves and solemnly cutting the seal on evidence pouches, the more I think about open solo cups in a grocery bag
I went to Google Earth, measured the distance from the house to the body, grabbed my tape measure, and headed out my front door, marked the spot and looked out my window. Visually, it's not that far. Good Grief! No one noticed a body, even when they were leaving?
Karen Read left John O'Keefe's body at the far end of the lawn. No one leaving the party had any reason to inspect the far end of the lawn or expect there to be a body there. And it was snowing so they were watching the ground as they walked
@bethmccrae2714 they were, however, looking out from the windows and door over the front lawn and into the street. You should see the body from that vantage point.
@bethmccrae2714 If they couldnt see a dark body on a dusting of snow from closest, 10 feet to a 65 foot MAX, with headlights shining on where his body supposedly was, and snow reflecting light then all 10+ of them need their vision checked and licenses revoked.
I’d understand one/two people not noticing but there were about 6 people that had to leave the house and cars sitting on the road to collect them too😮 really?
I think they rushed party goers out than dumped the body after most were gone.
The corruption is overwhelming.
They did not Want to investigate the house ..They would have found something
I was hit by a 55 Chevy going 25 miles an hour and did not fly 12 feet onto a yard. And I did not have a skull fracture, concussion yes. I flew up in the air and landed just a few feet away from the car. But then again I wasn’t a 200 lb man that was around 6’2”. I was a 6 yr old kid that weighed about 65 lbs. no way he would have flown that far. And the only reason I got the concussion was I wasn’t taller than the vehicle.
I have also been struck by a car and did not lose my shoe(s). I was bruised all down my body where car hit me and where my body hit the ground. No bruising below neck is evidence of not being hit by a car (IMO). Really hope defense can bring in people to give evidence of common injuries from car impacts and fist fights.
@@kristinperry9945 I've been hit by a car going 20 mph and lost my shoes but honestly you can walk into me and I'll lose them. I tripped and lost one the other day. I wear them very loose, don't tie them and wear them like slips ons. So yes I slip in and out of them quite easy and wouldn't ever think a normal persons shoes would come off like John's. Nor do I believe it happened like they say
@@RichardZabielski-ql9ss I do believe it’s common to lose shoes while being hit by a car. The thing is, as you said, there’s so many other ways to lose shoes as well. A lost shoe alone doesn’t prove a car accident. I really would like to know if there’s anyone else’s dna around the armpit area of his sweatshirt/hoodie. That also doesn’t prove anything in itself, but there NOT being dna there could prove something. Unfortunately they didn’t swab individual places of the clothes.
@@johananas8407 there's many basic answers we will never get due to shotty police work and/or a cover up. I fully believe he was dragged out of that house and they just missed the white shoe due to the snow cover. A missing shoe doesn't indicate a crime but with everything I've watched , I can see them dragging him out.. BUT OF COURSE NOTHING WAS TESTED FOR ANY DNA OTHER THAN JOHN'S. How convenient...How Ludacris.
You are the Lawyer I know and respect Peter
Hi Peter, replay crew, wish I had caught this one live! I am an attorney and I am always amazed at how much I agree with nearly every single thing you say!!! I LOVE to argue and hear different points of view but I find that we are of the same philosophy even though our practice areas are so very different. I appreciate everything you said here, what is legally appropriate in each interaction, direct or cross often has no bearing on who we think should ultimately win. And, unless you can see all sides along the way, you may be disappointed. Seeing it all is why you are able to call it most of the time, but juries never cease to surprise! Love your channel, thank you for all that you cover:)
Is the Commonwealth saying that Karen hit John in the driveway at 12:45 am? Why would John be in the drive at 12:45 am? She let him out at the foot of the drive before the F-150 arrived at 12:23 am. John was not in the car when the F-150 was parked behind Karen with her dome light on, waiting for John to call, but he was seen in the car with her when they turned onto Fairview in front of the F-150. Why would John be outside for more than 20 minutes and still in the driveway? And if police believed he was in the driveway of that house, why would they not interview everyone there immediately? And if Karen hit him in the driveway, in reverse at 24 mph, how did his body land 40 feet away, near the flagpole, with part of a drinking glass? It's a ridiculous theory.
No
I agree- it’s incredulous
And I suppose he just stood outside in the cold and snow at the end of the driveway while she pulled forward sixty something feet to ultimately throw the car in reverse, aim directly for him, going 24 miles an hours, and he just stood there, didnt move out the way, just stood there so she could hit him with her car? Unbelievable...
I've heard you say that ppl were onto you about your position on this case, I thought you were just kidding. Oh my goodness, I went into this trial like a juror and no prior or extraneous information...for now I am on the not guilty side but could change if they prove it to me . But I made a comment about Jen McCabe not being believable and was attacked because " Karen is not as she's portrayed and a nasty outsider" my response, She probably isn't exactly as portrayed by either side but that doesn't prove she's a murderer or not
What I don’t like about Karen Read is she has made this case all about her . She has not shown any empathy when there has been anything said about officer O’Keefe. She giggles and smirks and plays for the camera. It doesn’t make her a murderer though. If I was the prosecution I would talk about this in closing and put the focus back on the deceased. The smoke and mirrors produced by her and her defense is working . I’m conflicted too as one day I’m not guilty, the next I think it was an accident. The prosecution has to show sokid evidence or she walks
This is basically how I came into this case too. All I knew was that KR claimed she was framed. My first thought was that it was an accident. So far, there are just too many issues to overlook: shoddy investigation, unprofessional behavior, JO's injuries being inconsistent with being hit by a car, strange evidence (number of tail light pieces and timing of finding them), backwards surveillance videos, changing/inconsistent witness testimonies, not entering the Albert home, far too many "butt dials," and more. I get the feeling they assumed KR would take a plea and this would be over.
@@juliak5011i don't think that she has Made the Case about her!! She really IS a Victim, too
@@juliak5011I kinda felt like that initially… but with this “proof”, the investigators actually made the whole case about her. They never even looked anywhere else, not even to solidify their case.
Also, people saying “she’s a nasty outsider” is so very strange to me… what a strange thing to say.
@@juliak5011 Karen's entire life is on the line so her chosing to fight for her freedom is obviously needed. As far as empathy, that is pushed aside while you protect yourself from these corrupt people and the state of Massachusetts. Have you ever seen Karen out of court or listened to her students, coworkers or friends talk about what a kind person she is. You are making these assumptions from quickly looking at Karen in a courtroom when the camera focused on her briefly.

@@nayringel7663 by far a MESS of an investigation there’s just not enough and what’s there is all questionable for sure!
I wanted to scream every time Proctor and Tullysaid “ we followed the evidence” and “ compelling evidence “
A broken taillight and a missing show is not compelling evidence
So, in Tully land, the difference between 30 feet and 50 feet is enormous, but 1 mile is not significantly less than 2.4 miles.
As I was watching this testimony today I literally yelled out loud, “OBJECTION, LEADING!”. I’m not anywhere close to an attorney but listening to enough of these, you know when someone is asking a leading question to get the answer they want. I’m glad you talked about it because I didn’t know if I was right or not since many times there was no objections. The prosecutor did it so much today. I wondersd if It may be a strategic thing like they are giving him more rope to hang himself from. The more they talk, the more their stories don’t make sense. I think anyone watching this trial could tell when the prosecutor is trying to lead a question before a specific answer. If I hear “what if anything one more time I’m going to lose my mind.
I’m actually so used to hearing objection, followed by sustained, that i have PTSD and I’m constantly expecting it 😅
I think there are a lot of people who will never accept the fact that law enforcement sometimes lie about serious things. There are some very unethical law enforcement out there, unfortunately. They’re just not typically caught on such a global scale. They’re usually able to smooth things over in an internal investigation, occasionally resulting in a forced retirement
Brian Albert recently retired from BPD , suspicious timing of course.
Hands down the best most option opinions and comments about this case. I watch multiple and LYK is by far the most neutral and just trying to play the part as a jury.
If the police would have actually investigated, recused properly, and not acted like 12 yr old boys on text messages, and went into the house….there would not be reasonable doubt. But all this is looks SHADY
Peter, you will never please all of the people - just continue being yourself.
They looked more like lacerations, not abrasions.
Thank you, Nurse!!
I second that!!! As a nurse attorney for nurses.
I disagree, as an ER, trauma and ICU RN for over 20 years, and so does the medical examiner who examined John O'Keefe's actual deceased body, not just a picture.
@@tigerlilygirl2643 I agree with you, photos are NOT sufficient enough, and it should be medical personnel making the determination, NOT the cops. Not sure why he was pushing abrasions when at least the photo I am referring to looks like scratches, superficial or not, a physical exam would be needed. At first glance, people will disagree.
Assuming John was holding a glass in his right hand and was hit on the right side, when you fold his arm (post mortem picture) as if he were holding his arm next to his body the forearm and bicep scratches almost line up. Makes sense for his arm to be folded this way since it was cold and glass in his hand.
Proctor is under internal investigation
Also federal.
I sure hope so
he will walk. He knows too much about other offices
Good he needs to be! And fired!

Agree. You are always teaching. Unbiased. That’s why I’m here over all the others.
Abrasions are like skinned knees. Those are punctures and lacerations.. they appear deeper than an abrasions
Yeah the way they say it I agree, there are 3 layers of skin, from the top they are, epidermis, dermis and hypodermis.
These look like dermis which would be the 2nd layer..
Well Mr Tully do you know of a good reason why BA wouldnt come outside his residence being a responder as well, to know why there is chaos going on in his front yard..I bet he is very thankful that any of your cohorts didnt come in and see the chaos that went on in the basement, blood everywhere etc.
The Alberts were sleeping until after John O'Keefe was already taken to the hospital. Then as a cop he knew not to interfere with their investigation
It's hard to believe the cameras are motion activated when they glitched while people were moving on them. I would understand if there was nobody on camera but the times I seen it glitch there were people on the screen
What gets me is the reason they pull into the Sally Port is to bring inmates in and out securely and on video, if they "lost" 42 min of video because of the activation cameras, some thing could go down and the cameras could miss everything.
Yep. The Daybell trial was a masterclass. The prosecution direct and cross examinations were clear and concise. Their ability to use the evidence to shut down defence Prior. On cross. This case had 3 deaths, very complex. Yet this case is dragging on by prosecution inadequate questioning and all the problems, as of today prosecution has not proved anything.
And the judge in that case was excellent too. The epitome of 'judicial temperament'.
@@tomatoberry yes he was excellent, fair and impartial.
Re-watch crew! FYI plow truck driver never changed his testimony. There’s docs on X proving that
I'm unsure whether she accidentally did it or if there is a cover up. However, in my mind, the unequivocally sloppy, biased, and incomplete investigation is ABSOLUTELY reason for a "reasonable doubt" acquittal. I would not convict her if I was on this jury due to the scary and abhorrent investigation!
I think she did hit him but it wasn't on purpose. I also don't see where they proved beyond a reasonable doubt. And John is just getting lost in all of it.
Impossible to have been MV accident. John's injuries were to his Head & Face & arm only. None to his torso or legs, blood stain running down the center of his hooded shirt prove a bloody nose while upright. Laceration on BACK of head, yet he was found FACE UP, Arm puncture lacerations are obviously dog teeth wounds that have no possible motor vehicle-related cause as there was NO human DNA located on the undercarriage of Karen's car. No glass found on the bumper matched John's drinking glass.
There was tons of evidence that John had been inside Brian Albert's house and not struck by a car - but cops opted not to look for it. Had investigators so much as LOOKED through the Albert residence (basement), and perhaps separated every witness from one another to be interviewed ALONE, a huge puddle of blood would have been found inside. They never looked! They let the witnesses conspire alone together, and be interviewed together (within earshot).
They never filmed an interview. There are no signed witness statements. There are NO PIX of the tail light prior to being taken to the Lallyport. They provided crappy video footage with 42 minutes missing.
There was a lead investigator who hated the defendant, disrespected her openly among his colleagues, and objectified her - A lead investigator who cannot be objective, who's a part of a family that has a decades-long friendship with the owner of the home where John's body was found & who never treated any other witness as a potential suspect, despite being told by Karen from day 1 that John was inside the Albert home & had been beaten up by Colin & Brian Albert.
When anyone says there's no evidence that John was inside that house, they must be reminded that there was, actually. Karen told them he was inside the house. Rather than verifying whether he was or wasn't by doing a proper search, cops just decided not to believe her & instead chose to believe the Alberts & McCabes (because of the bias they had from jump).
right. they all clearly believed she was guilty and within 16 hours had her convicted of being guilty despite her saying otherwise. if they so clearly believed mccabe and albert statements of her then why in the world would her statements not be considered. it all screams coverup to me bc if proctor clearly didn't know who she was then why else would he be so biased. only reason he would be would have to be bc of them and who they are. it's so disgusting.
Well said. Completely agree. Who would want to buy the lead detective a gift for their work in the investigation? 🚩
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
How do you know they would have found a huge puddle of blood?? And Karen said he was inside the house? What’s her exact quote on that?
The Kevin Albert connection! I almost missed that.
love your content!!!! you are non bias and I enjoy your commentary as the case goes🙌🏼
when you smash a taillight, the pieces will fall inward into the housing area. this many would not ALL fly out in the opposite direction.
i think they planted the pieces. it doesnt pass the physics test.
excellent point & you are the first online i have heard mention this
Waiting all trail for crash reconstruction expert to go over these types of details in court
@@paigecm thanks. they discussed it for a minute on court tv closing arguments show last week.
What if some of the pieces catch or snag onto something and are then pulled outwards?
And Plastic doesn’t fly like glass does so please explain to me even if she did hit him how the Plastic shattered and ended up 12 to 13 feet off the road it would end up in the road
If you got CCTV cams You clearly know that light was not broken as the police claim! If the light was that broken going past the parking lot video? It would be a very bright white ball of light on the camera! It was not! It was red! Usually police vehicles have car cams. Why or where is the video from the police truck with the plow on it that Higgins was driving?
How can Tully say she took longer than normal to arrive at a location when there was inclement weather?
You also have to assume, in the videos, Karens SUV is the only dark SUV in Canton
Yes!! Thank you for your streamlined commentary! It helps so much!
I don't think that this was a group of 25 some people all grouping together to conspire but I do think it's more than likely that 1 lie from the house ventured into a ton of different covers, for various reasons. Various people did various things and only had some knowledge.
All it takes is the people in the house sticking to their story and everyone else taking their word for it
All else aside, these are awful detectives.
I’m a lot older but as kids the cops would come to house parties and came right in! No permission ever asked!!!!
I’m no lawyer but I have picked up on the pattern of: Lally gives the answer in his question, it gets objected to, then asks a different question and gets the answer he already provided. So probably the jury notices too.
That’s why I tune in… because your explanations and commentaries make the case interesting,
Keep doing what you are doing. Don’t worry about Twitter comments. As a fellow PI attorney I love the analysis. Can’t find any other fellow attorneys following the case I can pow wow with. Great Channel.
At this stage I’m more at ‘incompetence and arrogance’ than ‘conspiracy’. These guys seemed to believe that whatever they said would become fact and so they weren’t thorough. So now even if KR did unalive JOK (which I believe would have been accidental), there’s just too much shoddy work to pin it down.
ETA: lol one of the superchats said pretty much this but I posted before I saw that. 😂 Great minds.
I LOVE ur defense atty view on this case! And yes REASONABLE DOUBT is the only choice! Great stuff Peter!! 👍👍
Years ago there was a shooting across the street from where we lived. We called 911 after hearing someone yelling for help. The police came and talked to us separately and asked if they could come in. I said sure. They asked if they could look and see if anyone else was in our house. I said sure. They took our statements and left. The guy who was shot was treated and released. It's weird that they didn't want to go in the Alberts' house.
He’s talking about the jacket in the house because he’s trying to make a point that the cops should’ve checked the house
Come on Colin- we know! Fess up!
How dare you try to destroy the life of a person who was a child when Karen Reid killed John O'Keefe. Their cell phone GPS location data proves that Colin and John O'Keefe were never in the same place at the same time
@@bethmccrae2714😂😂😂
Heads are going to roll because of this trial. There should be a major shakeup in the Mass. State Police and in the Norfolk county's DA office. The elected officials, including the Gov., will only begin the process after the verdict. The process is sacrosanct.
Proctor keeps saying he's acting based on the overwhelming evidence he collected in the first 15 hours of investigation- when are we going to hear about this overwhelming evidence that points clearly at Karen Read committing premeditated murder to justify Proctor's intense hatred and his depraved conversations with friends and family? I wonder how Proctor would feel if a group of men sat around discussing his sister the way he and his buddies talked about Karen Read?
I would literally never vote guilty if I was a juror on this case. Not for any piece of evidence, not for a confession and video in 4k of Karen doing the deed and then laughing maniacally and dancing on his body. The prosecution lost me at Jenn McCabe's testimony. Even if there's not an out and out conspiracy, they clearly didn't investigate this to the full extent that they could and should have. I do not believe the CW, not about anything.
I hate that they're all such horrible people and they're getting away with it. No consequences.
I agree 100 %
I wish I was only jury , but at same time I would be ready to Scream, I would probably get escorted out of the courtroom
@@suzannemammone3635 Same. There's no way I would have been able to sit on this jury!
Well said. Getting away with NO consequences
@@suzannemammone3635I’d have been escorted out during Jenn McCabe’s performance 🙄☺️
His evidence was solely talking to the mcalberts.
I don’t understand why everyone’s so convinced the hair had to be planted. Have you ever tried to shake a loose hair off your wet hand compared to your dry hand? If the car was wet, of course it could stick that long (in my opinion).
There's a hair on my shower wall from 2015... 🤣. Seriously tho that's a good point.
It’s outside, there’s road vibrations, there’s new snow falling, there’s wind…the comparison isn’t similar enough.
They also lived together so the fact that there's hair or DNA on her car proves nothing in my opinion. I'm sure you can find plenty of my DNA and hair on my dad's car.
You’re making some great content here. Thank you!
We love how you cover all the cases. You teach us a lot about process and what matter. You make sense of things for us. Well done to you
I absolutely love hearing both sides and how you present it. You have become one of my top two favorite channels! I actually found you from Annie Elise and the two of you are my fave! Thanks for all you do!
I told my coworkers about this trial (because Tess(t) Chart witness graduated from our local college, and come-on that's a funny name) and they were in total disbelief that this ever went to trial and that it's been going on so long.
When it snows, at least here in Canada, the night gets brighter, and I can see the coyottes in my fields. Before there is snow, the nights are dark and can hardly see 20ft.
My Dad always said....listen, debate, discuss, and then, if neither party comes to the same decision, agree to disagree and leave it that. He was mainly talking about religion and politics, but it's still a good lesson 😊
Peter you’re amazing and I love your feedback . Thank you . Makes you look at both sides and no bias
If I was a juror my issue is the tunnel vision in this case. How was the house not cleared
You're very fair and you explain everything fully. You're not boring like most of the podcasts. And it doesn't hurt that you have a nice face to look at.
Hi Peter, I missed the live today. However, my daughter and I watched it later. This is so great how you give your opinion, Thank you and God Bless you and your family. We always enjoy when you invite your Dad. 🙏😇❤️
I have been hit by a car traveling around 45-50 mph. I had no injuries to my head and neck area only to my lower body and back. Did lose a shoe tho
That sounds terrible.
@JeanieMarie174 I should have said that after a few weeks, I healed up just fine and don't have any lingering injuries from it
Sane people know why they didn't search the house. It's better to have the slur of a poor investigation with no consequences than to find evidence of one of your own and those consequences. Just saying
Thank you Peter! Your take on this trial is great. I’d love to hear what you and your dad have to say regarding more of the Ysl trial!
DID NO ONE NOTICE THE WITNESS AFTER THIS GUY WHISPER "KIII ME" RIGHT INTO THE MIC ..... IT WAS WILD....
Just my opinion here, those who believe she’s guilty to me has me scratching my head. There is no evidence, I think people put to much into thinking that if someone is arrested they must be guilty, they forget that there’s is corruption in the legal system.
