QUICK TIPS: when you’re making this make sure to add a tiny bit less cocoa, and a bit more sugar. (Take 1/2 a tbsp out of the cocoa, add 1/2 a tbsp of sugar) because when I made this it tasted very bland and bitter, so I would recommend doing this too.
Oh, and also for the people who are saying that they don’t have Nutella or baking powder, self-rising flour would work too. And for the people without Nutella, I just added a bit more cocoa and sugar to make up for the lack of flavour. It worked perfectly fine. And you could probably add a bit of chocolate chips in the middle because the heat of the microwave would melt the chocolate chips, kinda like a Nutella flavour. As for the people without a microwave, sorry but I can’t help :(

This irecipe started my baking journey around 2-3years ago and this recipe has NEVER failed me. I have just made this mug cake again a few minutes ago and inout it in the microwave for 1 min and it was fully baked and I already ate half the cake. It is sooo good and I never like my own bakes but this recipe is a game changer you have to try this!

Honestly, I’ve tried many mug cake recipes over the years and this is the best recipe out of all of them. It’s just so fricking amazing like the cake is kinda spongie in a way and it’s really moist even though it’s just made in the microwave. I like to bake mine for 30 more seconds just to make sure it’s done and then put some pieces of chocolate on top as soon as it’s out so the chocolate melts on top. Everyone I know absolutely loves this recipe and I call it the “Triple Chocolate Lava Cake”. It’s also so easy to make and remember the recipe and just tastes like pure delicious bliss.

I've made this mug cake so many times already. It tastes so so good! I switched out the cocoa powder with ovo maltine powder (since that's the only thing I had at home) and it worked perfectly fine too :)

good recipe here are some things to make it a bit better in my opinion:
-put 4 tbls of milk usually it’ll work better
-the taste is a bit bland so try putting a bit more sugar in it
-try putting vanilla sugar in it aswell to give a little more taste
-Even a small pinch of salt will give more taste

also it's: DRY: 20 grams of flour, 10 grams of cocoa powder, 15 grams of sugar, tiny bit of baking powder, WET: 15 ml of oil and 45 ml of milk - if anyone needs to know! I didn't have nutella so i used 1 piece of chocolate and it was just as great yummmmmmmm

Exactly!! I can never make things in the microwave at night bc mine is loud af. It beeps at the buttons and is noisy while microwaving.🙄🙄 It's so annoying and I'm so jealous of people who can do these stuff at night. If I ever did, my parents would wake and beat me so🤷

This was one of the best mug cakes I’ve ever tried! I didn’t have two of the ingredients when making it but it tasted amazingg! I didn’t use oil or baking powder but I added one block of chocolate in the middle and it was wonderful!

Alright so I actually tried it. Here are my thoughts:
It’s rlly good, takes little time and actually tastes nice, not just decent.
I would say, if you’re a little extra like me, to add a bit more Nutella and milk, but everything else was great.
I used melted butter instead of oil once and I couldn’t see a difference.
Don’t worry if the mixture isn’t as smooth as the video, mine wasn’t either.
One last thing, I used self raising flower and it rose just fine so you could deffo try that.

Melted butter is pretty much the same as oil in mug cakes. it gives a slightly richer flavor as well.

Alright guys, if you don't have cocoa powder you probably have hot chocolate powder. Use that, it worked for me.
Edit: You can also use melted chocolate instead of nutella

Cocao powder is have just more cacao, so it's darker and bitter

Here in Germany, we have a really sweet and chocolatey "Hot Chocolate" Powder (In Germany it is also called Cacao powder, cause Cacao is chocolate milk drink, here)
It just tased perfect, and should fit well in such a mug cake :)

My thoughts on this:
When I tasted it it was AMAZING. I thought it wouldn’t work, but you really have to mix thoroughly because I didn’t mix mine properly at the bottom so some of it at the bottom wasn’t that cooked.
That’s why every time I do this and it has something yucky on the bottom
Same. Every single cake recipe, the bottom is not cooked. No matter if it's 30 seconds more, it's still all powdery at the bottom.

I HIGHLY recommended this recipe! It was delicious! I didn’t have any cocoa powder so I just used hot chocolate powder and I didn’t add any sugar (hot chocolate powder is already very sweet) and it turned out AMAZING! 100% would recommend and I would try it again

I've been using this recipe for the past 6 months now. It's honestly so amazing! It is a bit small but filling so it's the perfect late night snack. I can't even describe how amazing it's taste is. Highly recommend :)
