don't really understand the hostility towards this reviewer. If you've taken the time to click on this and watch it, it shouldn't be too difficult to find reviews of other similar equipment to make your own comparisons. The problem with a lot of UA-cam reviews is that the people reviewing them can be very poor guitarists and can't show the true potential of the equipment. The biggest mystery to me are the amateurs that review an amp, but insist on plugging an effects pedal in first. What a waste of time that is. I think this video is a straightforward honest review that shows what this machine is capable of, nothing more, nothing less.
Absolutely. That's all we set out to do with our gear reviews-give some clear but detailed examples of what the product can do. Too many folks online with nothing better to do than complain about everything these days.

Hi, Nick! Do you have a video explaining in detail (a step-by-step instruction) how to set up the Gigcaster 8 with the GA-FC EX pedal? If you have not recorded one, could you direct me to someone who has done it? My very specific question is this: how do I assign each switch to perform a given task -- let's say, I want to sing a song that has a part where I will be singing with the double-voice effect; then, I want to sing another part of the song doing vocal harmony (higher & lower). How exactly do I make each switch do that particular effect when I press it? I tried assigning the first switch (on the left) and it worked. I chose double-voice and the effect would go on or off as I pressed the switch. I tried to do the same with the second switch, with a different effect. It did not work, and it was somehow "hooked" to the first switch, meaning it would interfere with the operation of the first switch. I tried the third switch, and the same thing happened. I was not able to choose a different/independent effect for each switch. I am not a technically inclined person, and I feel that I have a Boeing 747 in front of me without clear instructions on how to fly it. At the same time, I've noticed that the documentation that came with both products is very poor, very superficial. I am having a very hard time trying to have fun with the two (Gigcaster 8 & the GA-FC EX pedal), and I am very frustrated. If you can help (or not), please let me know. Thank you for your attention.

I'm returning to gigs for small pubs. What this unit is capable of, would mean no need for the extra pedals / wires / plugs and extensions etc. So, by protecting with a case, would the GC8 be roadworthy enough to use just for live solo guit/voc gigs?

Dude, I'm lookin at this too and it fits the bill for me 100%, I'm not a real picky efx user, so I think I'd be happy with this instead of my Boss GX-100, which besides the pedal.. seems too complex.

Vorrei sapere la frequenza di campionamento minima del gigcaster a 48khz (ad esempio in daw posso selezionare 48khz 32sample-96 sample?... ., e mi piacerebbe anche sapere quanti input potrei avere nella mia scheda) fornita dal driver asio, e se è una vera scheda audio, da usare online con il pc alla minima latenza possibile. Grazie in anticipo e scusa per il mio pessimo inglese scolastico

I'm missing even brief comparisons to the ample number of similar devices...
As it is, this review tells me nothing about why I'd choose this one over any of the other ~10 or so competing products!

Working in a vacuum on a single product, where many products are already available amounts to nothing more than an advertisement.
Note, that I did not ask for a "comparison review" But smart reviewers do point out for whom this other products would be beneficial for specific use cases.

The guy literally played guitar, showed effects, demonstrated how mics, pads, GA-FC and camera control works. What do you expect? A handstand and jumping through hoops for your entertainment?
