When i was still a kid at 2000s, the first GK that stole my heart was Oliver Kahn, especially because the first football game i watched was WC 2002 (nah man, as an Asian kid, the only big football tournament that i can watch was this) And some years later, when Kahn stop playing for Germany, finally this Guy stole it.. especially when "unstoppable" run during 2008-2012, and because he was the captain, and i can watch how he play (because i can finally watch football past midnight as i growing up), Casillas sure was the best!! Even tho' during that time, Real Madrid didn't won any UCL But watching him hold that UCL trophy at 2014, even tho' he's not as good as he used to be, still make me happy (well, in this era, of course i know he already won it much earlier, but i never watched it.. and finally able to see it for myself is different feeling) So thank you, Legend!!

@@njldst2007 Sorry but yes, his saving stats are a lot better than Buffon's and he has a lot more trophies than any other goalkeeper both at club and international stage.
@@1997lordofdoom Firstly regarding the trophies, though I agree it does count towards the greatness of a player's career, it definitely is not the be all end all of things. Dani Alves is the most decorated player in history, yet it's debatable if he's even the greatest right back to come from his own country. Now stats do play an important role as well, but you need to look at how to quantize and compare those stats. For example, saying a Goalkeeper is better because he has more saves is highly shaky, since that depends on a heck lot more than just the goalkeeper's ability. Also, it's not just saves that define how good a Goalkeeper is, there are so many other areas such as control of the box, aerial command, ability in one on ones, etc. And most importantly, stats have only been started to be compiled recently if you take history into account. The 3 keepers I put above Casillas for sure are Yashin, Maier and Zoff, and there are no micro-stats available for their eras to truly compare. What I can definitely say is that as good as Casillas was, and he was great, there were areas in his game that he was not the best in. When there are goalkeepers like the aforementioned ones who have accomplished as much as Casillas has, or as much as their teams enabled them to have accomplished, and have a better all round game, I cannot with good conscience put Casillas ahead of them. And this isn't even taking into account the fact that his game did peter off towards the end of his career, which again, by normal GKs standards it didn't that much, but all the greats I've mentioned played at the highest level all the way till the end

The classiest goalkeeper of the modern era. He would be one of the few that would want to make peace during the Clasico matches during the Real Madrid Mou era. A shame how Madrid let him go.
As a Barcelona Fan i have the same respect to casillas as i have to puyol. He was so good in his prime and so underrated in the end of his career. Its trully sad to see how some madrid fans undervalue him now and the awfull way he got booted out of the club. El eterno capitan EL GATOOOO.
Yesss, I’m a Madrid fan and I very disappointed on how we tested him in the end. He is my favorite gk of all time and a club legend, he deserved better
GOAT
What he did for Madrid and Spain no one can do it like him not even close.
Thank you Iker Legend
Finally, video about my idol San Iker 🙌♥️🐐
Kids these days will never know how good Casillas was. For me he is one of the Greatest Of All Time
He was the reason why I started supporting real Madrid and probably spain. Not because of Ronaldo or some other player
I started supporting us via the olden days. I remember as a kid, seeing Kaka in the white and gold colours, and not even knowing who he was. Nowadays, I couldn't respect him, Casillas, and Ronaldo less.
Casillas is the greatest legend best goalkeeper best human being. Best of luck for rest of his life. Love and respect from Kolkata India. Many many many regards on your feet sir.
never clicked so fast lol
Same lmaooo
striking v3in yall are real af 💯
Yooo guys thanks for 70 likes never got so many
Me too
Huge Respect for this guy. I am lucky to have witnessed him in his prime, Still Mad about that defeat against Germany in the semi-finals of 2010 World Cup.
Casillas has to defend against Messi, Suarez, and Neymar. Who have Buffon and Neuer even had to defend against? 😂
Thanks for this video man. God bless you man 😊
I was at soccer practice but what a surprise great to come home and have a good video on my notifications
Sour Sw1ft put in that work 💪
He keeps curled balls by:
1. Doing a double or trìpple jump
2. Using left hand if diving twd the right and using right hand if diving twd the left
Best Goalkeeper ever👍🏻👍🏻
And my personal all time favourite as well👌🏻👌🏻
The greatest keeper to ever step on a football pitch ❤️🔥❤️🔥 my favorite player everrrr !! It’s just sad that our club did him that bad i really wished he would stay till now and would have 7 ucls rn
He should of won the ballon d’or 🥺so sad he wasn’t respected as he should of been
It was hard, had to go up against Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka and other great players
2010 Spain vs Netherlands is enough to define how good he was
He was my fav😭🥺
When i was still a kid at 2000s, the first GK that stole my heart was Oliver Kahn, especially because the first football game i watched was WC 2002 (nah man, as an Asian kid, the only big football tournament that i can watch was this)
And some years later, when Kahn stop playing for Germany, finally this Guy stole it.. especially when "unstoppable" run during 2008-2012, and because he was the captain, and i can watch how he play (because i can finally watch football past midnight as i growing up), Casillas sure was the best!! Even tho' during that time, Real Madrid didn't won any UCL
But watching him hold that UCL trophy at 2014, even tho' he's not as good as he used to be, still make me happy (well, in this era, of course i know he already won it much earlier, but i never watched it.. and finally able to see it for myself is different feeling)
So thank you, Legend!!
3:43 “he is also very good at one on one situations wich I’m sure a lot of Dutch players could attest to”. Me:laughs 5 times in wk2014 I’m kidding besides that victory for holland I was really suprised and didn’t expect it I love casillias and I respect and admire this legend
I’m a Barca fan and man this man is one of my favourite goalkeepers and he have all my respect ✊🏼. Without him Spain wouldn’t have won the 2010 World Cup.
Imaging forcing a club and nation legend out of your club just WOW
Imagine your team captain backstabing you
That's what happened...
@@cracksemiro6375 how?
@@raghukrishnanj8393 leaking stuff to the press
CRACKSEMIRO you are not a Real Madrid fan, we don’t speak of him like that
It was 2010 and I was 10yrs old ,that's when I started playing as a GK. My friends often call me iker casillas after I make a lot of minor save cuz that time he was the only goalkeeper who was so popular in world cup, then I started to discover who is he and since that very day till now I'm his damn die hard fan ,in fact I began to be a Madrid's fan bcuz of my both Idols cr and iker was there and now after knowing that Madrid no longer knows how to appreciate both legends I'm no longer supporting it .....will always put u close to our heart legend 💪🔥❤️
Can you do a video on Sergio Aguero, because he was one of the greats last decade.
Bryan Gonzalez he’s still doing well tho bro and got a big of time for his career
Thfc center What I meant with this comment is I wanted Raymar to talk about his career, because he has been incredible the past decade.
Iker Casillas is a damn legend.
Words don't do the man justice.
Even I have been watching your amazing videos for the past 1 year .. even I forgot to subscribe...😶😶
Thanks for reminding me to subscribe 👍
Yes now I'm an official subscriber 🥰👍
Watching Casillas cry as he was leaving Real broke my heart. And I'm not a football fan but he is a Spanish legend.
So glad i have him in pes
Best goalkeeper in the world in my opinion for over a decade. I think he has the shot to be the best goalkeeper of all time he won everything with Spain Real Madrid and domestically with Porto.
The four greats of the 00-15 generation:
1. Neuer,
2. Casillas,
3. Buffon,
4. Victor Valdes,
But I think oblak, ederson and Alisson are the top three now
Boy, Casillas is number 1. Casillas was short a goalkeeper and did more than Neuer. 3 champions league, while Neuer only has 2.
@@PadmeGaveMeHIV it wasn’t ordered
Even as a Barca fan i love to watch him play
He was my role model because I was good at gk
He's a emotion
Shame to Madrid they could not respect they're legends
Well even to Barcelona
Raymar: Just how good was he?
Me: The best goalkeeper of Spanish history. Top 5 of best goalkeepers of all time for sure.
who's your top 5?
i'd have olivier kahn, and peter schmeichel in the list. iker, buffon and i guess.. neuer?
@@kennethting4874 Buffon, Lev Yashin, Casillas, Peter Schmeichel and Oliver Kahn
PD: At the end it depends on preferences. I have tried to be objective
@@lopepalacios33 I really wanna say Petr Cech on my top 5.. He was amazing before and during his time in Chelsea right up until he got his head injury. he was just never the same after that. a pity.
Number one. No discussion.
The fact that Iker Casillas’ role model was a Short Mexican goal keeper, Jorge Campos, makes me happy 😩❤️🇲🇽
Casillas carried Madrid for a good bunch of years and made them avoid some humiliating defeats
I’m dutch and that save in the wc final still hurts me... He really is a legend..
Short answer: incredibly good
Long answer: this video
A legend 👏🏼
Best Goalkeeper on the planet between 2005-2010, a legend of the game and deserves massive respect 👏
Is that Why Cech has all of the trophies
bro it's really a good video.. much respect to you..
and we love you Iker!
Best football related channel I've seen in all of my time on youtube. Keep up the good work!!
Casillas is by far the greatest goalkeeper of all time, the is no competition.
1997lordofdoom Yashin?
Lol, sorry, but no
@@njldst2007 Sorry but yes, his saving stats are a lot better than Buffon's and he has a lot more trophies than any other goalkeeper both at club and international stage.
And this isn't even taking into account the fact that his game did peter off towards the end of his career, which again, by normal GKs standards it didn't that much, but all the greats I've mentioned played at the highest level all the way till the end
born in 2001,and love football because of him, used to love to be a striker, but after watching him, being a goalkeeper is a goal when i was a kid
