Nu ZLand yes that’s true but he shouldn’t claim that it’s ‘his’ because the work that was done to afford it was his mother’s so it’s her car. I’m from a poor family, I’m 15 and I worked hard and bought my 1996 Impreza non turbo hatch myself for 2k, and if I keep saving I’ll have enough money to sti swap the motor and trans before I get my license. Sorry if it sounds like I’m bragging, I just want to tell kids that they can achieve big things if they start off young and get a casual job early while they’re at school
@@samkercher8381 i was kinda memeing when I wrote that, dw though I know what it's like to work hard for the car I wanted. The first car I ever bought was a 1996 wrx v limited 1/1000. It was fully stock and even though it had quiet the mileage it still pulled hard. I only owned it for 2-3 months before it got stolen, lucky I have insurance but after costs I lost about $2k :( It's allgood now I got me a 1997 wrx v4 fully stock except for an apexi muffler and those classic gold speedline rims. It seems to have a body kit that I've only ever seen on sti's so she's pretty unique. I also got the engine fully rebuilt with forged pistons so she's driving like an absolute beast atm

Wow put a muffler on that, all I hear is rasp. How you managed to wreck the sound of a boxer is beyond me. Nice car btw.
Unequal length manifolds aren't the only reason a scubie rumbles. While they do play a big role in the sound, it's also because of the way the engine fires, and the H-4 motors have flat heads. You could put an unequal length header on a inline 4 and it wouldn't sound like an H-4. I thought you we're driving around on a daily like this which is why I said put a muffler on it. But hey, you already said you put a proper exhaust on it so I commend you for it. Too many dumb kids out there with 300whp Subaru's with retarded exhausts thinking their the fastest thing to prowl the streets.
I agree with what your saying. The unequal length manifolds are what primarily give you the sound but I've heard quite a few equal length Subaru's at the dynos and they still sound different than any inline 4. Anyways cool car and I'm happy you have a proper exhaust on it now and restored that great sound. Enjoy the car and I hope it treats you well. Later
