    I just found this piece next to the word perfection in my dictionary

    I'll never be able to understand those people who hate Vengerov and then they actually take the time to search a video of him, watch it and and then leave negative comments. If you hate him so much, why not look for another violinist? And if you think he makes silly faces, I'd suggest to only leave the audio.
    As for this presentation, thank you very much for uploading it, I really love his style, pretty clean, perfect, straight forward but conveying the right amount of emotion. I wish I could see him again soon!

    That decrescendo on the way up the g-string at 1:39 is simply superb. I cannot listen to tnis video without going back at least three times to hear that lick.

    в который раз восхищаюсь способностью Максима к синтезу юмора и ироничности, присущей Моцарту, одновременно с высочайшей техникой Паганини и Хейфица - МАСТЕР, спасибо Вам за творчество!!!

    This one of the few recordings where I feel like the balance between the violinist and piano is just right when the piano gets the melody in the F major section and the violin is the accompaniment.

    There are some performances which are milestone in the art of violin. This is one of them.For all the recordings of Vengerow being fortuitously cancelled, the survival of this Wieniawski Polonaise gives him a front seat in the Violin Olympus, just like the Scottish Fantasy of Bruch by Heifetz, the Wieniawski first Concerto by Rabin,the Dvorak concerto by Prihoda.

    He is one of the only violinists I've heard who play this straight-forward and clean without holding back or over-stylizing it. A lot of others play it as if they think it's some kind of sarcastic joke but I love that Vengerov understands the "what you hear is what you get" exuberance of this piece.

    A fan once jokingly asked Vladimir Horowitz if he traveled with his octaves, or if he sent them ahead. We could ask Mr. Vengerov the same question about his upbow staccato.

    Brilliant rendition. The only thing thing that turns me off is that Vengerov looks like a goof when he plays. He really is quite a very excellent violinist though. Unlike Joshua Bell who looks like a laughable clown trying to make his playing seem more than it is with his stupid dancing.

      i can understand what you're saying but that's just all that comes with him being vengerov, i think it's great that he lets people know whats going on inside him whilst playing. But the tastes are different :D

    • @bobbrawley9439
      @bobbrawley9439 7 років тому

      Dan The goofy look is my major attraction to him . He is paroďing those players who show emotion and very fakely like Julia Fisher.. I realize that when the violinist preforms emotionally they personally know it is fake but if they go the other way, stoic like Heffete then they are considered a bore . This guy parodies emotion and the audiences smiles along with him

    I feel like my trouble with Vengerov's playing vs. someone like Zukerman or Perlman is that I feel he goes kind of overboard playing, not talking about his mannerisms or whatever, just feels a little too dramatic and extreme playing everything.

      +Emily La Hi Emily I listened to Mr Vengerov play Mr Beethovens no 7 Sonata op 30 no 2 then listened to Mr Oistrakh play the same piece what I noticed was Mr Oistrakh started very quietly Mr Vengerov very loudly I remembered that the violin part starts at pianissimo so I went and checked my Urtext version and indeed it was marked p (quietly) I think Mr Beethoven wrote it like this so that he could build extra intensity with a louder dynamic later on in the piece respectfully yours adonaitsidkenu.
